Lawn Fawn + Avery Elle + Newton's Nook - Shaker Bookmarks

Hey there!

Today I'm showing you five bookmarks I made a while ago using three of my favorite brands.

Here is the process for one bookmark (they were all made the same way). I first started by cutting the pattern papers twice (dimensions of each side: 13,5 x 5 cm). I chose each paper so it would match nicely with a stamp set.

I heat embossed my sentiment on vellum, and attached it to the front panel using double sided tape at the back. Then I stamped my name on the other panel and glued it at the back of the front one using my tape runner.

I put my panel into a plastic sheet, used my fuse tool to close three sides, filled it with sequins and beads, closed it and draw a tag shape at the top still using my fuse tool. I punched a little whole and tied a piece of twine.

To decorate my bookmark, I stamped my images on watercolor paper using black waterproof ink, colored them with watercolor pens, cut them using the coordinating dies, and glued them to the bookmark using liquid glue.

Valentine Card Series 2017 - Celebrate Love

Hello there!

Here is my last Valentine card for this year. I wanted it quite simple but with a lot of effect so: glitter!

I first started by blending together four different colors of distress inks. I found this gorgeous combo on instagram, and it's from Bianca (@thecoloursofmagic).

To create all the glittery little hearts on that colorful background, I used a stencil from SSS and a paste from BoBunny. I absolutely love the result!

I die cut the word Love one time from pink glittery paper and three times from white cardstock. I glued those three pieces together to get some dimension and glued the pink piece on top.

I used a mini alphabet to write the word Celebrate, and cut it using a banner die. I finally ended up cutting both ends to get a simple rectangle shape around the word.

I attached the word Love using liquid glue, and the word Celebrate using foam squares. And finally I glued my panel on some heavy white cardstock.

Penny Black - Buddy & Duck - Up!

Hey there!

Here is a new birthday card I made using a stamp set that I really love from Penny Black.

As I wanted the little puppy to be flying away, I first started by creating a sky using three shades of distress inks. And I think a sky is more beautiful with clouds, so then I applied white pigment ink using a cloud stencil and a sponge dauber.

To kind of frame the sky and add some more interest, I die cut two scalloped strips from white cardstock.

I stamped my image on watercolor paper using black waterproof ink, colored it using watercolor markers, and fussy cut it. Then I stamped my sentiment on my panel using the same black ink and my Misti tool to make sure it was perfectly aligned.

I attached my two scalloped strips on my panel using foam double sided tape, my image using foam squares, added white dots on the balloon using a white gel pen, and made the eyes of the puppy pop using black enamel accents.

Finally I attached my panel on a white card base, and added some clear sequins.
