Hello Bluebird - Catching the Moon

 Hello there,

Today's video features some cute fairies and birds, having fun in the clouds while catching the Moon. As always I stamped all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink, and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Once all my images were colored, I cut an 8,5 x 3,5" panel out of Strathmore bristol cardstock and created my cloudy sky. I first covered the entire panel using shaded lilac distress ink, and next I used a cloud stencil along with blueprint sketch distress ink to create my sky. I also added a touch of chipped sapphire distress ink on all the edges to darken that sky a little bit more.

And then some texture to add some interest to those clouds. I started with water droplets that I dried using a paper towel, Next I mixed some chipped sapphire distress ink with water and used my small brush to create lots of splatters on the paper, and then I added liquid stardust directly in the chipped sapphire ink, and I mixed it to create dark blue sparkly splatters. And one last final detail: I mixed some white acrylic paint with a little bit of water and splattered the paint all over the paper.

Next I attached three clouds -one for each fairy- using foam squares, and added lots of glitter to those three elements, starting with fine glitter on the entire image and then chunky glitter at the bottom. And then I finally attached my images.

I stamped my sentiment 'for a fairy good friend' and as a last final step I stamped diamond shapes here and there using shaded lilac and blueprint sketch distress inks.

Sunny Studio - Fairies & Frogs

Hey there,

Today I am thrilled to be guest designing for Sunny Studio! I'm a huge fan of their adorable designs so I was more than happy to accept the invitation! Thanks again for having me, Mendi! So I have three projects to share with you today, and we start with some adorable tags.

I cut three scalloped circles out of colorful Spring Fling pattern papers using the new Scalloped Circle Mat 1 die set. I stamped three lovely fairies on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink, and used my alcohol markers to color them in matching colors to the pattern papers. I punched a hole at the top of each circle and tied thread, and finally used some white blizzard nuvo drops on their wings to make them super shiny.

***

For my 2nd project, I went with an interactive card, a magic picture changer card, because I had a pretty precise idea in mind: I wanted to turn one of the butterflies from Garden Fairy into a fairy. So as always I stamped all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink, and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Next I moved on to the background and started by inking a 5,5 x 4,25" Strathmore bristol panel using antique linen and mowed lawn distress inks. I added texture using water droplets, and then same inks + water droplets.

Next i created the interactive part of my card using the Magic Picture Changer die set by Lawn Fawn. I cut a long panel for the pocket die and a short one for the moving piece die, and I marked the windows using a pencil. Inside the window on the long panel I stamped a butterfly, and inside the window on the short panel, I stamped a fairy. I cut masks for those images using the coordinating dies and applied those masks on the butterfly and fairy, and then I used antique linen distress ink again to color around both images. I removed the masks and then colored both images using my alcohol markers again.

And for the next part, I invite you to watch the video because building an interactive card is always more understandable with the entire process filmed ^^

So once my interactive background was done, I created the ground for my scene. I cut two wavy borders that I colored using frayed burlap distress ink, and attached both borders at the bottom of my panel using double sided tape. And then I assembled and stuck all my cute images on the panel.

Finally I stamped my sentiment 'Magical Wishes' at the bottom of my panel using black ink, and added a handle at the top of the pull tab.

***

For my 3rd and last project, I created a lovely and quiet scene featuring the adorable frog from Feeling Froggy, that I mixed with more images from older sets, and as my other projects, I started by stamping all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink, and colored everything using my alcohol markers.

Next I cut all my background elements out of Strathmore bristol cardstock: a 5,5 x 4,25" panel, a wavy border, a grass border and a hill border.

Started with the rectangle panel to create a cloudy sky using a cloud stencil and tumbled glass distress ink. Next I turned the hill border into a pond using tumbled glass and peacock feathers distress inks. I used antique linen with a little bit of frayed burlap distress inks to color the top of the grass border. And finally I used shabby shutters and mowed lawn distress inks to turn the wavy border into a grass border.

Next I assembled all my elements on my cloudy panel, starting with the borders using double sided tape, and all the images using foam squares. Once everything was attached, I stamped my sentiment at the top of my panel and then added some morning dew nuvo drops here and there for a little bit of shine.

***

And that's it! I hope you like my three projects! I leave you with the video :D

Hello Bluebird - A Valentine Slimline Card

 Hi there,

I'm glad to be back today for Hello Bluebird with a very bright and joyful valentine slimline card. As always I started by stamping all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock, used the coordinating dies to cut them all and my alcohol markers to color everything.

After the coloring, I cut an 8,5 x 3,5" panel out of Strathmore bristol cardstock and created a super bright sky using pink distress inks. Started by covering the entire panel with spun sugar, and then used a cloud stencil along with picked raspberry to create a nice cloudy sky. Next I added texture to my background and started with water droplets that I dried using a paper towel. Next I smooshed my candied apple distress ink pad on my glass surface, added some water and then created a million tiny droplets on my paper. And one final detail: I mixed some white acrylic paint with water and used the same brush to add a lighter touch to my background.

Once the inks and paint were dry, I attached all my cute images using foam squares. And at the end, I used a white gel pen to add highlights on the images, I white heat embossed the word 'love' on dark pink cardstock and cut it into a small banner, and finally I applied glossy accents on the heart and the word 'you', and also added a small white nuvo drops in the center of the flower.

And that's it for this super sweet scene with three adorable birds celebrating the love of a cute mouse couple. I leave you with the video, and wish you an amazing day. See you next time!

Lawn Fawn - Underwater Wedding Shadow Box Card

 Hey there,

Today's card is a very colorful underwater scene that features two cute axototls getting married, and I gathered a whole bunch of fishes and underwater critters to create cute guests.

I stamped the images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using jet black ink, used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and my spectrum noir markers and my graphit brush markers to color everything.

Next I cut two hills that I colored to be sand using antique linen and frayed burlap oxide inks, and then I moved on to the box so I cut two shadow box panels out of Strathmore bristol cardstock that I colored on both sides using peacock feathers and blueprint sketch.

I created a window opening on one of the panels, folded both panels on the score lines, also folded the tabs on the sand borders and applied strong double sided tape on the tabs, and next I assembled the shadow box, and I invite you to watch the video below to see the entire process.

And next I attached some images inside the shadow box using glue dots. But I wanted to add more images to my scene so next I created a flap using another shadow box panel. I cut the tab off and used the same inks as before to color that flap, and I also white heat embossed my sentiments.

I folded that panel on the score line and decorated it using the remaining images and additional sand borders. When it was done, I used a white gel pen to add white highlights on all of the images, and next I finally attached the flap on the box.

Isabel Cristina Stamps - Tooth Fairy Shaker Card

 Hey there,

I'm back today with a shaker card, it's been a while, showcasing the adorable Bella Tooth Fairy digital stamp set designed by Isabel Cristina Stamps.

As always when I use digital stamps, I printed my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using my Epson xp225, I cut them all using my Scan 'n cut machine, and then colored everything using my alcohol markers.

When it was done, I moved on to the shaker panel. I started with a rainbow 8,5 x 3,5" panel, and from that panel I die cut a three flap panel.

At the back of that three flap panel, I attached a clear acetate panel and next stuck strips of foam tape all around the windows at the back of the panel.

On a slimline card base, I attached another rainbow themed panel, placed some coin images and sequins on the panel and next attached the three flap panel on top. And finally I stuck a tooth on each window, and attached the three fairies and my sentiment on top of the flaps.

Hello Bluebird - In the Bamboo Forest

 Hello there,

For my first Hello Bluebird card of the year, I take you to Chinese forest to meet two cute pandas that I created using the two bears from Long Distance. I stamped and cut everything using the coordinating dies, and I started with the bears: I traced pencil lines to create the different parts of their bodies, used my memento marker to traced on those pencil lines, and then colored those two little guys using my alcohol markers.

I also colored the other images, and next I moved on to the background and started by covering two 5,5x4,25" bristol panels with antique linen distress ink. And I used one of those panels to cut five trees that I glued on the other one.

Once all the trees were attached, I added more contrast to my background using old paper and mowed lawn distress inks. And next I attached all my cute images using foam squares.

Next I connected both cans using a piece of white thread, I white heat embossed my sentiment 'Wild for you' on a thin brown banner, and for a touch of shine I finally glued some clear droplets here and there.

Lawn Fawn - Picnic in the Treehouse

 Hello there,

Today I take you to the backyard to meet a lovely couple celebrating Valentine's day up in the tree house!

As always I started with the coloring: stamped all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using jet black ink, used the coordinating dies to cut them all and my alcohol markers to color everything.

When it was done, I moved on to the background and started by cutting the main panel as well as the arrow handle out of paper bag cardstock. I kept the elements together by using washi tape at the back and stamped a woodgrain texture on the paper using brown ink, and I applied a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the edges to bring more contrast.

Next I cut the house out of a rainbow paper and used the stitched woodgrain backdrop to create wood texture on that house panel as well. I cut the roof and the floor out of paper bag cardstock and applied vintage photo distress ink on those pieces as well, just like the background.

And I moved on to the magic iris, and I invite you to watch the process video below to see how the whole mechanism was created, images are always better than words to understand ^^

Once the interactive mechanism was done, I started to assemble some pieces, starting with the house. I didn't want it to be too flat on the background so I cut two more houses out of paper bag cardstock and layered my three houses using double sided tape and liquid glue. And then I attached my rainbow house on the panel. I did the same thing for the roof and floor, I cut additional pieces to get dimension, I layered those elements and then glued them on the rainbow house.

My tree also needed some foliage so I used the main die from the magic iris add-on again to cut a green panel, and used a puffy cloud border die to cut three foliage pieces out if this green panel. I applied a bunch of foam squares at the back of each foliage element and stuck them on my panel.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" card base out of paper bag cardstock, I stuck a yellow pattern paper on top and temporarily taped the tree house panel on top, and I stuck my wood textured circle right in the middle.

Next I placed my panel in my misti tool, and stamped 'me + you' and a heart below it using vintage photo oxide ink. I applied double sided tape on the stabilizers at the back of magic iris, as well as foam tape all around it, and I stuck my panel on the card base. And finally I attached my images using foam squares and liquid glue.

Isabel Cristina Stamps - Baked with Love Double Slider Surprise Card

 Hey there

Today I take you to the cutest bakery to meet some little guys that are baking (and eating) some cupcakes and desserts.

I mostly used the brand new Baked with love digital stamp set designed by Isabel Cristina Stamps, but I also added a few accessories from Christmas baking that was released in 2019.

As always I started by printing the images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using my Epson xp225 printer, I cut them all using my Scan 'n Cut and colored everything using my alcohol markers.

Once everything was colored, I moved on to the interactive part using the double slider surprise die set by Lawn Fawn. I had printed my sentiment on the same page as my images so I used the pocket die to cut a panel with that sentiment in the top center as well as a plain white panel.

I folded the thin tabs and used a bone folder to get a very crisp fold, and applied strong double sided tape on those tabs.

And I wanted my bakery to have cute brick walls, so I started by masking the bottom part of the panel, almost half an inch, placed a brick stencil on top and applied spun sugar distress ink all over the paper to create a pink wall. And a little bit of texture on that wall: I mixed some spun sugar and worn lipstick distress inks with water and used a small brush to create splatters on the bricks.

Next I protected the wall with washi tape and used hickory smoke distress ink to add some shadows to what would become the counter.

Next I used the notch die to create notches on both ends of each pocket panel. And then I cut two small panels and create the same walls and counters using the exact same supplies as before.

Next I cut the track piece and built the whole interactive element, and I invite you to watch the video below to see how it was done ^^ It's always easier to understand with images then words.

When it was done, the next step was to stick all the images using liquid glue. Next I cut and glued handles on both ends of my interactive panel, I layered two pattern paper panels on a dark pink card base, and finally attached on top of it my double slider surprise panel using foam tape.
