Holiday Card Series w/ Lawn Fawn - Rainbow Snowflake Cards

 Hey there,

I'm so happy to be back on Lawn Fawn YouTube channel with this rainbow snowflake set of cards. Very quick to make, and easy to mass produce!

So to create this rainbow set, I picked five different cardstock, ballet slippers, fake tan, sticky note, cilantro and mermaid, and cut a 5,5 x 4,25" panel out of each color.

The process is the same for the five cards. I started by creating a snowflake background on each panel using oxide inks and the Snowflake background stencils.

- pink panel: kitsch flamingo + picked raspberry

- orange panel: carved pumpkin + ripe persimmon

- yellow panel: squeezed lemonade + mustard seed

- green panel: mowed lawn + rustic wilderness

- blue panel: tumbled glass + peacock feathers

Next I white heat embossed five sentiments from the Magic holiday message stamp set on vellum, and cut them using a die from the Large stitched circle stackables die set.

I also cut five Magic iris snowflakes out of shiny and sparkly papers and five more out of shimmery cardstocks that coordinated with the snowflake panels, and then I assembled everything.

Once again the process is the same for the five cards. I started by gluing a vellum circle at the back of the shimmery snowflake. Next on the front, I glued a sparkly snowflake. And finally I attached this whole vellum snowflake element in the middle of the panel using liquid glue. I did this for the five cards, and that was it!

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Christmas Delivery with Rudolph

 Hello there,

I'm back today with a cute and fun Hello Bluebird card that features Rudolph the reindeer. He has sneaked out of the barn and has borrowed Santa's car to deliver Christmas presents by himself, so let's join the fun!

I stamped all my images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies and then colored everything using my alcohol markers.

After the coloring I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" panel out of bristol cardstock and used salty ocean, prize ribbon and chipped sapphire oxide inks to color it and create a night sky. And to make this night sky a starry sky, I added three different textures: water splatters, liquid stardust and copic opaque white ink.

I let the paper dry, next I attached my panel on a white card base, and then I attached all the images on my panel using foam squares mostly, and also liquid glue and glue dots.

And as always I finished my card by adding a whole bunch of details and highlights on the images and background using a white gel pen to make everything pop even more.

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Deck The Tree Slimline Card

Hey there, 

I'm so happy to be back with this lovely slimline card that features a bunch of cute friends designed by Hello Bluebird and all gathered to decorate their tree house.

As always I started by stamping all the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and used my alcohol markers to color everything. And I went with my favorite holiday color combination this year which is brown, red and pink with a little bit of white.

After the coloring, I cut the tall tree out of kraft cardstock, and used walnut stain distress ink to add more interest to that tree. I also added brown splatters using walnut stain distress ink mixed with water, and then lots of white splatters using a few drops of copic opaque white ink with a little bit of water.

I let everything dry, and then assembled the background. I cut an 8,5 x 3,5" inches panel out of vellum, and another one out of a red pattern paper. I also cut a white frame, and I stuck that frame on the vellum panel using liquid glue. And then I attached this vellum panel on top of the red panel.

I glued the small snow border at the bottom of the frame, and stuck the tree. I also stuck the inside pieces of three, and then attached all the images on that tree using a combination of foam squares, glue dots and liquid glue.

Finally I white heat embossed the phrase "Merry Christmas from our home to yours" on red cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner that I attached above the last bunny at the bottom, and as always I added a whole bunch of highlights and details on the images and on the vellum as well using a white gel pen.

Black Friday w/ Sunny Studio - Snow One Like You Mini Stamp Set

Hey there,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you're having a very nice day. I'm happy to be back today with a lovely shaker card showcasing the lovely Snow one like you mini stamp set by Sunny Studio.

I started by stamping this cute snowman & girl image using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, and I colored it using my alcohol markers.

Once the coloring was done, I cut the image using the coordinating die, and next I created the background. I cut two white panels: one measuring 5,5 x 4,25" and one a little bit smaller. I set the bigger one aside, and picked the largest die from the Stitched arch die set. I taped this die right in the middle of the small white panel and sent it to my die cutting machine to cut an arch window out of it.

Next I used the same die to cut another arch out of scrap paper, and I used it as a template to create a frosty effect on an acetate panel. I taped this arch template on an acetate panel, and applied white acrylic paint all along the edges of the template using a blending tool to create a frosty effect.

I mixed a few drops of copic opaque white ink with a little bit of water and used a small brush to create falling snow on the acetate. And once everything was dry, I glued the white arch window panel on the acetate. Next I placed this window panel on a tree border pattern paper from the Very merry paper pack, and I traced the four edges of the window panel on the pattern paper using a pencil.

I trimmed this tree border panel, and then to create room for the sequins I added foam strips at the back of the window panel all along the arch. I applied powder all along the foam strips to make them less sticky, used a microfiber to clean the acetate, and then I added a mix of white sequins, some white jewels and also some tiny shiny stars. Next I stuck the tree border panel on the foam strips to close the shaker, and I attached my shaker panel on the other white panel.

To create my sentiment, I white heat embossed the word "There's" and the words "one else like you" on a light pink cardstock. And for the word "Snow", I cut the letters out of a pink pattern paper from the Very Merry paper pack again and out of white cardstock using the Chloe numbers die set. I layered those letters on top of each other, and stuck all these elements on the top section of the arch using foam squares. And I attached the image below using foam squares as well. And finally I attached my panel on a white card base.

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Merry & Bright in New York City

Hey there,

I'm back with a new Hello Bluebird Christmas card that takes place in New York City and features City sidewalks. I started by creating the background and I picked a die from Little village because it looked like a brownstone house to me, so it was the perfect little die to create a New York City background.

I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" dark grey panel, as well as fifteen buildings out of the same paper. I traced a vertical line right in the center of this panel, and then a horizontal line at the top. And for that line I used a building to help me decide where to trace it and to get a straight line I used my T ruler.

I attached a first row of buildings on that line: I started by lining up a building with the middle line and then I attached two buildings on each side. And I did this for the two other rows.

Once all the buildings were attached, I cut a simple grey rectangle as well as a thin black strip that I stuck on top of each other at the bottom of the panel, right below the buildings.

And to give a winter feeling to this background I just added snow all over the panel: I mixed some drops of copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to create lots of splatters on the buildings and sidewalk. And for a teeny tiny bit of contrast, I mixed some black soot distress ink with water and added more splatters to the background.

Next I stamped the images using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and then colored everything using my alcohol markers. And once it was done, I attached all the images on my panel using foam squares, glue dots and liquid glue.

Next I attached the sentiment between the street lamps: I white heat embossed the word 'Merry' on the same grey paper as the background, and also stamped the words 'and bright' on white cardstock using black ink. And as always, I added lots of details and highlights on the images using a white gel pen.

Holiday Card Series w/ Sunny Studio - Deck The Halls Interactive Card

 Hello there,

Today I'm sharing with you a new Sunny Studio joyful and fun interactive card featuring Deck the halls, and I'm going to show you how I made the Santa ornaments wiggle!

I started by stamping four peppermint ornaments, as well as Santa's head and body using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, I cut them using the coordinating dies and then colored them using my alcohol markers.

Once all my cute ornaments were colored, I moved on to the background and I wanted to create a Christmas tree background and give the illusion that the ornaments are hanging on the branches, so I started by covering a 5,5 x 4,25" bristol panel with mowed lawn distress ink to get a nice and even base. And from that green base, I created the tree texture using a grass stencil. I started at the top of the panel, I placed the stencil upside down and added rustic wilderness distress ink along the grass stencil and used my mowed lawn blending tool to mix the colors. And then I repeated this process to cover the whole panel with tree texture.

Next I created the interactive element. I cut two small pieces of cardstock: one measuring 2,5 x 1cm and one measuring 2 x 1cm. Those pieces will be hidden so the color of cardstock doesn't matter. And from now on I invite you to watch the video below to see the entire interactive process because it's always easier to understand with images ^^

So once I was done with the wiggle mechanism, I attached the four peppermint ornaments and to hang them in the tree I just traced a vertical line from the top of each ornament to the top edge of the panel. And I stamped my sentiment from Holiday Express at the bottom of the panel, right in the center. Next I stuck my panel on a green card base. I added white highlights and details on the images and glued a bunch of Iridescent clear jewels to make the tree all sparkling.

And that's it! Now let's put on 'Rockin around the Christmas tree' and see how Santa wiggles and dances to the sound of the music! I leave you with the process video and I'll see you next week with a new card!

Holiday Card Series w/ Lawn Fawn - Christmas Shopping with the Tiny Winter Friends

 Hey there,

I'm so excited to be back on Lawn Fawn YouTube channel with this new little scene. Last time we went with the tiny winter friends to a tree farm outside the city to pick a big and fluffy Christmas tree. Today we join them downtown to go buy presents and listen to Christmas carolers.

As always I started by stamping all my images using jet black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and then I used my alcohol markers to color everything. I added some green accents with the trees, but the main color palette here is brown, red and pink.

Once the coloring was done, for the sky I cut a small piece of red pattern paper using the 5,5 x 4,25" stitched rectangle die and for the ground I cut a panel out of fog cardstock. And to make this section more interesting but not too bold, I created a brick texture using a brick stencil and white pigment ink.

Next I assembled and stuck everything. I started with the red sky that I stuck at the top of the grey panel using double sided tape. And then I attached all the images using 1mm foam squares mostly as well as a little bit of liquid at the some places.

Once everything was attached, I white heat embossed my sentiment on a red wavy banner and stuck it below the scene using 1mm foam squares again, and I added highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen. Finally I attached my panel on a white card base

Holiday Card Series w/ Sunny Studio - Lazy Christmas Shaker Card

Hey there,

I'm so happy to share with you this new Sunny Studio shaker card showcasing the lovely Lazy Christmas stamp set that features two super cute sloths. I stamped those cuties as well as two branches using an alcohol markers friendly black ink, cut them using the coordinating dies and then used my alcohol markers to color them.

After the coloring I moved on to the background and started by creating a turquoise panel. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" Strathmore bristol panel and applied salvaged patina oxide ink all over the panel and then peacock feathers oxide ink on the edges to bring more contrast.

As always I added lots of splatters to the panel to make it less flat and more interesting: water, peacock feathers + water, liquid stardust + water and copic opaque white ink + water.

To frame the card, and give the sloths a habitat, I cut a Botanical backdrop out of a dark green cardstock, and added a little bit of white splatters to those leaves as well. And to make this jungle card even more festive, I cut another Botanical backdrop out of a silver glitter cardstock. I attached the dark green botanical frame on top of the silver glitter frame, but turned the dark green frame so that the leaves don't match.

I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" acetate panel that I placed in my misti tool with the botanical frame on top, placed some stamps right in the middle of the acetate to create my sentiment, and picked up those stamps with the door of the misti tool. I applied powder all over the acetate panel using my powder bag to make it antistatic, and then I stamped my sentiment using clear embossing ink. I sprinkled white embossing powder on the ink and used my heat gun to melt the powder.

I attached the acetate panel at the back of the botanical frame using liquid glue at the back of the frame on the four edges and foam squares at the back of some leaves to bring some dimension.

I attached two layers of foam strips at the back of the frame on the four edges, and used my powder tool to apply a generous amount of powder all along the foam strips. This will help to keep the sequins away from the foam strips.

I cleaned the acetate using a microfiber cloth, and poured a mix of sequins directly on the acetate, I carefully peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and then I stuck my oxide panel on the foam strips to totally close the my shaker panel.

Next I attached the two little sloths and the branches. I used glue dots to stick the branches and foam squares to stick the sloths. And finally I added highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Little Village

Hello there,

I'm back on Hello Bluebird blog today with a very pretty and simple card that for a change doesn't include a million images :-) The minute I saw the new Little Village die set, I pictured this card in my head, I'm very happy of how it turned out and I hope you like it too.

I started by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25" white panel. I picked two dies from the Nesting circle die set, taped the smaller one on the top part of the white panel and sent the panel to my die cutting machine to cut a circle window.

I cut another panel out of bristol cardstock and placed it behind the window panel. I traced the circle on the bristol panel using a pencil and then I used tumbled glass, stormy sky and faded jeans oxide inks to create the sky.

Next I used the smallest circle die again to cut three circles out of bristol cardstock, and from those circles I cut three hill borders using dies from Hill & dale. And on those three borders, I applied the same oxide inks as before to match the sky.

I cut all the village pieces out of white cardstock: trees, street lamps, houses, mountains (using a coordinating die from Wilderness adventure) and also a circle that I cut using the smallest die from the Nesting circle die set. I temporarily taped the window panel on the oxide ink panel using washi tape, and then I attached the hill borders inside the circle using 1mm foam squares. And next I stuck the village pieces on each hill border using the same 1mm foam squares that I cut in half to fit behind those small elements, as well as liquid glue for the tiniest pieces.

Once everything was attached, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to splatter tiny dots on the white village and this way create falling snow. And next I created my sentiment using Big Christmas greetings: I stamped the word 'Greetings' on white cardstock using clear embossing ink, sprinkled silver embossing powder on the ink and melted it using my heat gun. And I also stamped the word 'season's' on the same white cardstock using black ink. And I cut those words using the coordinating dies.

Next I cut a circle frame and I assembled everything. I started with the white window panel that I stuck on the village panel using three layers of foam tape. I attached the white frame around the village. And then I attached my sentiment below the village.

Sunny Studio - Safari Pop-Up Birthday Card

Hey there,

I'm super happy to be back with this super cute and fun safari birthday pop-up card for Sunny Studio! As always I gathered lots of images from different sets to build and create my little scene, so make sure to check the list of supplies down below for more details.

I started by stamping the images using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, I colored them using my alcohol markers and cut them using the coordinating dies. And once everything was colored, I created the card base. I cut all the papers to build it, and I invite you to watch the process video down below to see how I built the pop-up card ^^

Once the pop-up card base was complete, I attached the images inside the card. And to stick them more easily and do a clean job, with no excess of glue, I used acetate. I cut pieces of acetate that I attached at the back of each image using glue dots, and then I attached the images inside the card by sticking the acetate pieces on the grass borders using glue dots again.

Next I created the small badge to put on the front of the card. I cut a scalloped circle out of a blue pattern paper, as well as a smaller circle out of the same kraft cardstock as the card base. I also cut the number three out of a yellow pattern paper using the Chloe number die set. I layered those elements on top of each other, and stuck the badge on the front of the card using foam squares. And finally I added hightlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.
