Sunny Studio - Paris Afternoon Shaker Card

Hi there,

I'm back on Sunny Studio blog today with this cute and sweet bakery storefront showcasing Paris afternoon. I started off by making the storefront panel. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" light blue panel, masked 1cm along the bottom edge using washi tape, and created a brick texture on the paper using tumbled glass distress ink and a brick stencil. Next I removed the washi tape, and applied a little bit of hickory smoke distress ink on the bottom edge to bring some texture and contrast.

I picked a rectangle die from my stash, taped it in the middle of the brick panel, right above the pavement section, and sent everything to my die cutting machine to cut a window out of this brick panel. And to finish this window nicely, I created a frame. I used the same rectangle die as before and a second one slightly bigger, I taped both dies on a piece of white cardstock and die cut a frame that I glued on the brick panel.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" vellum panel, and on the left side I white heat embossed the croissant and the word "Bonjour" from Paris afternoon.

I added double sided tape at the back of the brick panel and attached it on the vellum panel. I also created a simple pink awning using a paper from the Dots & stripes pastels paper pack and the roof die from the Sweet treat house add-on.

I cut a light blue card base, and stuck a piece of rainbow polka dot paper from the Spring sunburst paper pack on top. I added foam tape at the back of the brick panel, all around the rectangle window, next I poured some colorful confetti inside the vellum window and then I attached my card base to the foam to finally close and complete my shaker background. I attached the pink awning above the window using double side tape at the top and foam tape along the scalloped edges to bring dimension, and then I stamped, die cut and colored all my images using my alcohol markers.

Once the coloring was done, I cut the word "Friends" twice using the Chloe alphabet die set: out of yellow cardstock and out of white cardstock. I attached the white letters behind the yellow letters to create an outline, and I stuck those letters on the pink awning. I also white heat embossed the words "So happy we're" from Fall friends on black cardstock, and trimmed it into a slim banner that I attached below the word "Friends". And as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Sunny Studio - Critters On The Go Interactive Card

Hey there,

It's been a while since my last Sunny Studio little scene, so I'm glad to be back today with this interactive card showcasing Critters on the go. So let's go to the park to meet some friends and have fun riding scooters and skateboards!

I created the background first, and divided my panel in several parts. From top to bottom: the sky, a grass section, a path and then two riding ramps. I used stencils and masking tape to create those section along with distress inks:

- the sky: tumbled glass + salty ocean
- the grass section: shabby shutters + mowed lawn
- the path: frayed burlap + gathered twigs
- the riding ramps: hickory smoke + black soot

Next I created the interactive feature, so please watch the video down below to see the whole process, and then I did all the coloring. I stamped my images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers.

In addition to the images from Critters on the go, I picked more images from different sets:

- Heart bouquet - small bows
- Spring scenes - trees & grass
- Balloon rides - banner
- Bear hugs - balloons to make speech bubbles

Once the coloring was done, I attached all my cute images on the interactive panel using foam squares. I cut a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches panel out of a rainbow polka dot paper from the Spring Fling paper pack, I stuck that panel on a light blue card base and then attached my interactive panel on top of it using strong double sided tape.

For my sentiment, I cut a pink banner using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set, I white heat embossed the phrase "I wheelie like you" using words from Critters on the go and Fall Friends and attached the banner right above the trees.

As always, I added highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen, and finally, to tell the recipient of the card how to play with it, I cut two small black arrows. I attached one of them on the left side next to the scalloped wheel, and I cut the pointy end off the second arrow and stuck that tiny piece below the first arrow to get an arrow with two pointy ends.

Sunny Studio - Trio of Valentine Bookmarks

Hello there,

I'm so glad to be back on Sunny Studio's blog today with this trio of cute and colorful Valentine bookmarks showcasing the new Quilted Hearts Portrait die.

I started by stamping the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink: a crocodile from Outback Critters, a cow from Barnyard Buddies, a shark from Sea You Soon, and several hearts from Fabulous Flamingos, and I colored everything using my alcohol markers.

I chose three pattern papers from the Dots & Stripes Pastels paper pack, and cut three Quilted Hearts Portrait panels. And then from those three panels, I cut three mini slimline panels.

And to make the back of those bookmarks pretty, I cut more mini slimline panels: three white panels and I stuck one behind each quilted heart panel + three colored panels and I attached one at the back of each white panel to get a nice and pretty finish. And between the white panel and the colored panel, I slid a piece of ribbon to create a handle at the top of each bookmark.

I white heat embossed some words on black cardstock, trimmed them to create small banners, and I also cut letters using the Chloe Alphabet die set to create the phrases: "You croc my world", "I love moo" and "I chews you". And I cut three banners using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set. And then I stuck all the elements on the bookmarks using foam squares and liquid glue.

As always I added highlights on the images using a white gel pen, and the last final touch was to add glossy accents on the hearts to make them shine and pop even more. And that's it. I hope that you like those three fun and colorful Valentine bookmarks. Thanks for stopping by, and see you next time!

Lawn Fawn - Scent-sational Rainbow Valentine Slimline Card

 Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back on Lawn Fawn YT channel with this super bright and joyful rainbow card, celebrating a scent-sational Valentine's day with two lovely skunks.

I started with the background and cut an 8,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of bristol cardstock. And from the left to the right I applied oxide inks in a rainbow order: spun sugar, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted Citron, cracked pistachio,  tumbled glass and shaded lilac. Next I created tone on tone hearts on this rainbow panels using the Lots of hearts background stencils.

I added a few white splatters all over the paper, and next I applied fairy dust paste using the same stencils again.

While the paste was drying I stamped a cute skunk couple using jet black ink and colored them using my graphit brush markers. Next I cut all the letters to create my giant "Scent-sational" sentiment, and I also white heat embossed the phrase "Life with you is" on a black wavy banner, and then I stuck all the elements (banner, letters and skunks) on the panel using foam squares.

To fill the space above each skunk, I white heat embossed two speech bubbles on vellum that I attached using clear foam squares, and finally I added highlights on the images using white gel pen.

Sunny Studio - Trio of Wintery Valentine Tags

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back on Sunny Studio blog with this trio of wintery valentine tags showcasing the adorable Passionate Penguins stamp set.

As always I started by stamping the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. Besides the penguins, I also stamped a few trees from Holiday Express and umbrellas from Beach Babies, and I colored everything using my alcohol markers.

I cut three Scalloped Square Tags, and did the same process on each one: I masked the four scalloped edges to keep them white, covered the bottom with a hill stencil, and used spun sugar, worn lipstick and festive berries distress inks to create the sky. I also added a little bit of texture: white splatters to make falling snow, sparkling splatters for frosty accents, and festive berries distress ink mixed water splatters to add some contrast.

To give those tags a nice back, I cut three more tags out of pattern papers from the Rainbow Bright and Very Merry paper packs, I attached a red tag at the back of each white tag, and added ribbon and twine at the top to decorate them.

Next I cut six hearts using a die from the Cupcake shape die set to decorate the top of each tag. I also cut three banners out of red cardstock using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set, and white heat embossed a sentiment from Passionate Penguins on each one. And then I attached all the elements on the tags: the banners at the bottom, the hearts on the ribbon, and the images using foam squares and glue dots. And as always I finished those tags by adding highlights and details on the images, the sky and hearts using a white gel pen.
