Sunny Studio - Snowmen in Sweaters

Hello there,

I'm so excited to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this extra colorful winter card showcasing the cutest Snowmen In Sweaters ever! Aren't they adorable?! I love them so much!

I started off by cutting an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored using oxide inks. For the sky at the very top, I blended some saltwater taffy with candied apple, and for the rest of the panel, I blended some salvaged patina with peacock feathers.

As always, I stamped my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Snowmen In Sweaters - snowmen, trees • Scenic Route - houses • Winter Scenes - trees.

I wanted my greeting to be the center piece, and to match the frosty winter theme, I started off by cutting a large Scalloped Circle Mat 1 out of holographic cardstock. I cut a smaller circle out of orange cardstock, and cut a Stitched Circle out of a Surprise Party yellow pattern paper. I layered those three circles on top of each other, white heat embossed "Warm winter wishes" from Snowmen In Sweaters on red cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and stuck it to my circle panel using 1mm foam squares.

Next I attached everything on my slimline panel, starting with the houses, next the circle panel, and then the snowmen and trees using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added some white blizzard nuvo drops to the roofs and to the Snowmen In Sweaters to give the illusion of sparkling snow.

Pretty Pink Posh - Holiday Wreath

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this Christmas card showcasing the Holiday Wreath Builder die set from the Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 Release. As most of the time, I shopped my entire stash to pick dies from other sets to create this beautiful wreath, and as always you will find a detailed list down below.

I started off by creating the background on a large Stitched Torn Rectangle kraft panel that I colored using the Layered Winter Wreath stencils. Using the three stencils one after the other, I first created a base using white pigment ink, and then I added colors using the same stencils along with candied apple, rustic wilderness, vintage photo and ground espresso oxide inks. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters all over the panel, I did the same with ground espresso oxide ink, and then set my panel aside to dry.

Next I die cut all the components of my wreath using Holiday Wreath Builder dies, as well as dies from other sets.

Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Holiday Wreath Builder - ring, leaves, branches, berries, bow  Fall Mug Additions & Fall Cornucopia - poinsettias  Big Christmas Cupcake - snowflake, poinsettia center pieces, heart  Winter Foliage - pine cones.

I added a little bit of shadows to my die-cut pieces using oxide inks. I also white heat embossed "Merry & Bright" from Winter Greetings on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and then assembled everything on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I first attached the ring and the greeting, and then all the bits and pieces directly on the ring. I attached my panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches red polka dot panel and then to a card base, I glued a Candy Cane Lane snowflake in the center of the snowflake, and finished my card with touches of white grit paste on the wreath element for a nice frosty effect.

Lawn Fawn - Thankful Autumn Card - Coloring On Kraft Cardstock

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this lovely slimline autumn card showcasing You Crow Girl from the Fall & Winter 2024 Release, as well as a bunch of Fall images from different sets. I also stamped and colored my images on Kraft cardstock, which is something I like to do all year long, but especially during the Fall season because I think it emphasize this whole sweet and cozy Autumn atmosphere.

I started off by stamping my images on Kraft cardstock using Jet Black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu alcohol markers, using mainly greens, oranges, yellows and browns to fit the Autumn theme.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  You Crow Girl - scarecrow, flower, small crow, clothes details  Happy Harvest - scarecrow, sunflowers, pumpkins, large crows  Eggstraordinary Easter - grass  Let's Go Nuts - acorn  Jump For Joy - leaves.

Next I worked on the pumpkin, and started off by cutting a Stitched Pumpkin Frame out of Canned Pumpkin cardstock. I used other dies from that same set to cut the stem out of Paper Bag cardstock and a leaf out of Algae cardstock, and used another die from Outside In Stitched Pumpkin to cut the second leaf. I used a die from Cute Candy Canes to cut the bow out of a Falling Leaves 6x6 paper, and a die from Hearts & Stars Skinny Tag to cut a heart out of the same paper. And I added a little bit more depth to those pieces using distress inks and sponge daubers.

For the greeting, I used the Giant Outlined Thanks dies. I cut the base out of Paper Bag cardstock, cut the outline out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock and attached it to the base using liquid glue. I cut another outline out of Textured Canvas Beige cardstock, kept the letters only, and tucked them on the woodgrain outline letters.

Next I cut an Outside In Stitched Pumpkin out of a Falling Leaves 6x6 paper, stuck my Stitched Pumpkin Frame to it using liquid glue, and then I attached everything to a slimline card base using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. A card base I created using a Large Slimline With Sliders die along with Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock, and a Scalloped Slimline With Hearts: Landscape die along with a Falling Leaves 12x12 papers.

I attached my Giant Outlined Thanks right on the pumpkin using liquid, white heat embossed "For all you do" from Thanks Thanks Thanks on Chocolate Bar cardstock, trimmed it into a banner using the smallest Everyday Sentiment banner die, and stuck it to the pumpkin as well. And as always, I finished my card with highlights and details using a white gel pen.

Pretty Pink Posh - Rainbow Holidays

Hi there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this super duper extra colorful and bright card showcasing the Christmas Light Garland die from the Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 Release. When I first saw this die, I immediately visualized rainbow garlands, just like the ones my grandfather had on his Christmas tree. It was nice to have those sweet memories while working on this card.

I started with the background and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored with oxide inks. First, I created a base using, clockwise, kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salvaged patina and shaded lilac. Next I placed the Cascading Snowflakes stencil on top of my panel, and applied picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, fossilized amber, mowed lawn, peacock feathers and wilted violet for a tone on tone look. I splattered water all over my panel and dried it using a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on my panel, and I did the same with fossilized amber distress spritz to add gold splatters on my piece of paper.

I set the panel aside to dry, and cut all my Christmas Light Garland pieces: four strings out of white cardstock and multiple light bulbs out of colored cardstock. And for the light caps, I found the perfect die from Big Dump Truck, I cut some of them out of gold glitter cardstock and some out of dark yellow cardstock. Next I assembled everything: I attached the light bulbs on the white garlands in a rainbow order using liquid glue, I added a cap on each bulb, and stuck each garland to my panel using 1mm foam squares.

I added liquid glue on each bulb and sprinkled fine glitter to make them all sparkle, and while the glue was drying, I worked on my greeting. I foiled my Hot Foil Happy Holidays sentiment in gold on white cardstock, and cut each word using Happy Holidays Shadow dies. And I wanted to add a subtle border to my words, so I cut two Happy Holidays Shadows out of vellum, glued those vellum pieces behind my gold foiled words, and finally attached my greeting in the middle of my panel using 2mm foam squares. I stuck my panel to a white card base, added highlights to the light bulbs and caps using a white gel pen, and finished my card with a scattering of Iridescent Mini Star Confetti all over my panel.

Pretty Pink Posh - Winter Hat & Snowflake Shaker Card Duo

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back with this duo of matching cards showcasing several die sets from the Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 ReleaseWinter Hat ShakerSnowflake Shaker, and Stitched Snowflakes which is featured on both cards. I had so much fun creating those two kraft & blue themed shaker cards, those new dies and stencils are absolutely amazing!

For the Winter Hat Shaker card, I started off by cutting a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of kraft cardstock to create my background using the Layered Winter Hats stencils. I've mentioned it already in previous posts, but when I stencil on kraft cardstock, I like to create a white base first in order to make the colors I add after pop even more, so I created this white base using the Layered Winter Hats stencil A and stencil B along with white pigment ink. Next I used those two stencils again, one after the other, but shifted them a little bit to the right, and applied broken china, uncharted mariner and pumice stone oxide inks to create my blue winter hats background. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to add splatters all over my panel, and I did the same with uncharted mariner distress spritz and then with brushed pewter distress mica spray.

I set my panel aside to dry, and worked on the Stitched Snowflakes. I cut all the bits and pieces out of two different shades of blue cardstock, vellum and white cardstock. The smallest snowflakes and the tiny center pieces are from Big Christmas Cupcake, I layered and assembled my snowflakes using liquid glue, and added decorations to each of them: a polymer clay snowflake from Candy Cane Lane on the center of each Stitched Snowflake, as well as Blue Sky pearls and Pacific Blue pearls on the branches. I set my snowflakes aside, and started to work on the Winter Hat Shaker.

I cut a Winter Hat Shaker panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the main die, and cut the inside of the pompom using another die from the set. I colored the middle part of the hat using tumbled glass, broken china and uncharted mariner oxide inks, and used the Deco Leaves stencil along with uncharted mariner oxide ink again to add a knitted pattern to my hat. I cut the pompom part out of acetate, and attached it at the back of my hat using liquid glue. I added foam strips directly on the acetate, all along the curved edges of the pompom, and on the rest of the hat as well, I poured some Snow Days Beads inside the pompom, and cut a whole white Winter Hat Shaker panel that I stuck to the foam strips to totally close my shaker.

Next I flipped my Winter Hat Shaker over to add more details to the front. I cut another whole panel out of bristol cardstock, fussy cut the pompom, die cut the inside off, and colored it using pumice stone oxide ink. I also trimmed the bottom part of the hat, colored it using uncharted mariner, broken china, tumbled glass and pumice stone oxide inks in a fun stripe design, and attached those two elements to my hat using 1mm foam squares.

I stuck my Layered Winter Hats panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light gray gingham panel, and then to a card base, using liquid glue, and I finally attached all the pieces, Winter Hat Shaker and Stitched Snowflakes, to my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

For my greeting, I started off by cutting a Winter Script out of silver glitter cardstock. I also white heat embossed "warmest" and "wishes" from Sentiment Strips: Christmas on dark gray cardstock, trimmed both words into slim banners using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached those three elements on the lower part of my card.

*****

For the Snowflake Shaker card, I repeated the same process as before, and started off by cutting a large kraft Eyelet Rectangle that I inked up using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil. I first created a white base using white pigment ink, next I shifted the stencil a little bit to the right, applied broken china oxide ink all over the stencil, and then added some touches of uncharted mariner here and there to darken the snowflakes. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used my small brush to add splatters to my panel, and then I did the same with uncharted mariner distress spritz and with brushed pewter distress mica spray.

Next I cut multiple Stitched Snowflakes out of the same blue cardstock, white cardstock and vellum as before, and assembled them using liquid glue. The smallest snowflake and the center pieces are from Big Christmas Cupcake. I decorated them all using Candy Cane Lane snowflakesBlue Sky pearls and Pacific Blue pearls, and moved on to the Snowflake Shaker.

I started off by cutting the front panel out of blue cardstock, and cut the center off to create a window inside my snowflake. Next I cut a whole snowflake out of acetate, trimmed the branches to keep the starry center piece only, and stuck that acetate center piece at the back of my front panel using liquid glue. I added foam strips on the acetate, all along the starry shape edges and on the branches as well, poured some Snow Days beads on the acetate, and cut another whole snowflake out of white cardstock that I attached to the foam strips to close my Snowflake Shaker.

I attached my Cascading Snowflakes panel on a light gray gingham panel, and then to a card base. I stuck the Snowflake Shaker to my card using liquid glue, and attached all the Stitched Snowflakes around it using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I cut a Merry Script out of silver glitter cardstock, attached it in the center of the Snowflake Shaker using liquid glue, white heat embossed "Christmas" from Sentiment Strips: Christmas, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and stuck it below "Merry" using 1mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Arctic Friends

Hi there,

I'm so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this new holiday slimline card showcasing friends from the North Pole, being merry and happy on the ice floe. When the Roly Poly Penguins were released, I knew that I'd pair them with the Holiday Hugs bear at some point, so I'm happy to finally be sharing this lovely card with you.

I started off by creating an Arctic landscape on an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, dividing my panel in three sections. At the bottom, I created a cold sea using blueprint sketch and chipped sapphire oxide inks. In the middle, I did the ice floe using salvaged patina and peacock feathers oxide inks. And at the top, I did a purple sky using shaded lilac, wilted violet and villainous potion oxide inks.

While my panel was drying, I stamped my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Holiday Hugs - polar bear, large present, snowflakes • Scenic Route - strings of lights • Roly Poly Penguins - penguins, candy canes, small presents.

I attached all the images on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, white heat embossed my Inside Greetings Seasons on a Notebook Photo Corners black banner that I stuck below the polar bear, added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and finally added some white blizzard nuvo drops to the icebergs, pompoms, bow and lights for an extra sparkling touch.

[IG HOP] Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 Release - Snow Globe Mix & Match

Hello there,

Pretty Pink Posh is kicking off the holiday season with a new release! This collection has something for everyone, from cute and whimsical to classic and elegant designs that will make your projects stand out this season. Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along!

To make today's card, I mixed and matched a whole bunch of items, some of them from previous releases and some of them from the Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 release, to create a bright and cheerful snow globe, and I started off by creating the background on a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel. I did a base first by applying, from the center of my panel towards the edges, tumbled glass, broken china, uncharted mariner and chipped sapphire oxide inks. Next I temporarily taped my Cascading Snowflakes stencil on top of the panel, and applied uncharted mariner and chipped sapphire oxide inks in a random way to create a nice snowflake background.

As always, I added texture to my background, and started off by splattering water that I dried with a paper towel. Next I mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water, and used a slim brush to add more splatters to my piece of paper. And then I did the same with copic opaque white ink and with brushed pewter distress mica spray.

Next I cut an Eyelet Circle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, cut a 3,25 inches circle mask out of scrap paper, taped it to my scalloped circle panel, applied tumbled glass, broken china and uncharted mariner oxide inks in the middle of my panel, and then added the same textures as my A2 background.

I die cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and glitter/shiny cardstock to complete and adorn my snow globe. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Big Christmas Cupcake - tree, snow bank, star, baubles, snowflakes, presents, bow, garlands  Fringe Tree - tree trunk  Holiday Wreath Builder - leaves, berries, branches  Candy Corn Shaker - snow globe base.

I used my Medium Polka Dots stencil to add details to the tree, added a bit of tumbled glass oxide ink to the snow bank, used distress inks to add more depth to each element, and mixed some copic opaque white ink with water to add white splatters to all the pieces using a slim brush. And once everything was dry, I assembled and attached the pieces to my Cascading Snowflake background using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I cut a banner out of navy blue cardstock using dies from Love From Afar, silver heat embossed "Have a holly jolly Christmas" from Sentiment Strips: Christmas on the middle piece, and then attached the banner right above the tree using foam squares. I glued a Candy Cane Lane snowflake confetti in the center of each holographic snowflake, and as a final detail, I applied a little bit of glue to each berry and sprinkled fine glitter to make them all sparkle.

Sunny Studio - Roly Poly Penguins

Hi there,

I'm back on the Sunny Studio blog with this bright and cheerful card showcasing the adorable Roly Poly Penguins and some delicious hot beverages that will keep us warm during the winter season.

I really wanted to feature all the Roly Poly Penguins on my card, so as very often I went for a slimline design, and started off by cutting an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel. I first covered the entire panel with salvaged patina oxide ink, and next I added a fun polka dot pattern using a stencil from my stash along with peacock feathers oxide ink.

Next I stamped the images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Roly Poly Penguins - penguins, present, envelopes, small cup, small candy canes • Holiday Hugs - snowflakes • Mug Hugs - mugs and cups, large candy canes • Merry Mocha - cup • Baking Spirits Bright - cookies • North Pole - nice list.

I white heat embossed "Wishing you a cup of cheer" from Mug Hugs at the top of my panel, and then attached all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. As always I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added some white blizzard nuvo drops here and there to make my card even more fun and festive.

[BLOG HOP] Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 Release - Fringe Tree Card & Tag

Hey there,

I'm so happy to be back with this card & tag duo showcasing brand new products from the Pretty Pink Posh October 2024 Release: the amazing Fringe Tree dies, and the beautiful Holly Jolly Shadow dies. I had so much fun die cutting, stenciling and assembling those beautiful trees, and as you can see I went for the traditional red, green and gold color palette, but I'll be back soon with different styles of Christmas cards, so stay tuned!

Please check each crafter along the hop, and comment on their blog post for a chance to win a prize:

Three (3) $50 gift certificates are up for grabs (one winner each day) Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on October 22nd. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

*****

I started off with the card, and cut an Eyelet Rectangle kraft panel that I stenciled using the Layered Christmas Trees stencils. Every time I stencil on kraft cardstock, I like to create a white base first, so that's what I did using the stencil #1 along with white pigment ink. I shifted that stencil a little bit to the right, and applied mowed lawn oxide ink to create the trees. Next I used the two other stencils to add patterns to the trees using rustic wilderness oxide inks, as well as a trunk below each tree using vintage photo oxide ink.

I mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to my panel, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink. I set my panel aside to dry, and started working on my Fringe Trees.

I cut the pieces out of different shades of green cardstock, as well as brown cardstock for the tree trunks, and added patterns to each element using the Mini Polka Dots stencil and Pinstripe stencil for the trees using mowed lawn and rustic wilderness distress inks, and the Deco Leaves stencil for the tree trunks using vintage photo distress ink. I mixed those distress inks with water and added splatters on the different tree pieces, and did the same with copic opaque white ink. I assembled the trees using liquid glue, and then attached them to my Eyelet Rectangle panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I cut some extra items using dies from Beautiful Bows and Big Christmas Cupcake that I added to my panel: a bow at the top of the middle tree, presents below each tree, and gold glitter stars on top of two trees and by each present.

For my greeting, I used the Merry Christmas Shadow dies. I cut the shadow out of vellum, as well as "Merry" out of gold glitter cardstock that I attached to the vellum shadow using liquid glue. I also white heat embossed "Christmas" from Sentiment Strips: Christmas on dark brown cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and I attached both pieces on the middle tree using foam squares. Finally, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark green panel that I attached to a card base, and I stuck my panel on top using 1mm foam squares.

For the Fringe Tree tag, I cut the pieces out of the same green cardstock and brown cardstock as before, used the same stencils with the same distress inks to add a pattern to each part of the tree, and then assembled the tree using liquid glue. To make the back of the tag as pretty as the front, I cut an extra large tree, as well as a tree trunk, attached both pieces at the back of my Fringe Tree using 1mm foam squares, making sure to sandwich a piece of twine at the top of the tree to make the handle.

I tied a red double bow that I glued at the top of the tree, and then worked on the greeting using the Holly Jolly Shadow dies. I cut the shadow out of vellum, and cut "Holly jolly" out of gold glitter cardstock that I attached to the vellum shadow using liquid glue, and I stuck the whole piece to the tree using 1mm foam squares. Next I white heat embossed "Happy holidays" from Sentiment Strips: Christmas on dark brown cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die that I attached between "Holly" and "Jolly" using foam squares again.
