Holiday Card Series 2017 - Advent Calendar Tags

Hello there,

Today I'm sharing with you Advent Calendar Tags. I had never crafted an advent calendar before, I just used to eat the chocolates behind the windows of the ones my parents bought to me and brother when we were kids LOL But when I saw all the wonderful stamps from Craftin Desert Divas October release, I brainstormed with myself and thought it would be a cool idea.

Every tag was made according to the same pattern, so I will talk about just one tag of you don't mind. I had some blank circle tags in my stash so I thought I could use them as a base. So I first started by cutting a circle from pattern paper the same as my blank base. I also die cut an inside scalloped circle from glitter cardstock and glue it on my pattern circle to frame it.

Then I die cut a smaller inside scalloped circle from the same glitter cardstock, glued it on vellum, trimmed the excess around the circle and attached it in the middle of my bigger circle which I finally glued to my blank circle tag. So that was it for the base.

I used a bunch of the new images from October Release, colored them using my alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. On almost every image, I added touches of glitter and some white highlights. Once it was done, I edited the numbers on my computer, printed them, decided which image should go on which tag, attached the numbers, and finally built the decorations using different kind of ribbons and twine.

  2. Hello Marine, What a beautiful tags! I watch all your videos cause you are colouring with Spectrum's.
Not so many crafters do that. And I have a lot of Spectrum's too.
The way you color your images is so good. The shadows are on the right spots and I learn a lot of you!
    Thanks for all your video's.
