Valentine Card Mini Series - Tale Series - The Frog King

Hey there,

Today I'm sharing with you the last card of my Valentine card mini series, but it is also the first of a new series that will be about tales. Famous or less famous but all using brands that I love ^^

This first one represents a german tale, The Frog King by the brothers Grimm, and as always I gathered several stamp sets to create my scene.

All the images were stamped on Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink and colored using my spectrum noir markers.  The first image I colored was the sand castle from the life ia good set. Turning it into a medieval castle was very easy and fun. For more texture I also added tiny dots on the frog, the bird, the snail, the trees and the leaves.

To build the background I die cut some borders: three grass borders and a hill border. The grass border was colored using twisted citron and mowed lawn distress inks. I first covered them with the light green and used the dark green to make shadows. The hill border will be used as a lake and was colored using tumbled glass oxide ink.

Next I took a 5.5 x 4.25 inches bristol panel, used the grass border as a guide to traced some pencil marks and know where to create the sky using scattered straw and salty ocean distress inks. When all the elements were colored, I attached them on top of each other and then on the sky panel using double sided tape. And all the images were attached using foam adhesive squares and glue dots.

I stamped a speech bubble and a heart in the center using versamark and white heat embossed them. It will be used as the sentiment. I placed a foam adhesive square at the back of it, just behind the heart, this way no trace of glue.

To finish the card I attached the panel to a white card base and added white nuvo drops in the center of each flower.
