Lawn Fawn - Kanga-rrific Give It A Whirl Slimline Card

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog today with this new Give It A Whirl Slimline card showcasing the adorable Kanga-rrific and its add-on, both from the Spring 2024 release. I had so much fun making the pirate scene I shared a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be fun to use the same design but with different theme and critters.

I started off by cutting a Large Slimline Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and used stencils along with oxide inks to create my landscape. At the bottom, I created a grass border using the Slimline Grassy stencil along with shabby shutters and mowed lawn oxide inks. Right above it, I created a sand border using a Slimline Hillside stencil along with antique linen and vintage photo oxide inks. Next I did mountains using the Mountain stencil along with vintage photo and ground espresso oxide inks. And finally I did the sky using tumbled glass and broken china oxide inks.

I stamped my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Jet Black ink, cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. And for a change I used images from only two stamp sets: Kanga-rrific and Kanga-rrific Add-On.

For the interactive part, I used the Give It A Whirl die set, and I invite you to watch the video down below for a better understanding of the entire process.

My Give It A Whirl interactive panel was attached right in the middle of my slimline panel using two layers of foam strips, and the images on both sides were attached using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. And as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.
