The Stamp Stop - Artsy Fartsy by The Sassy Club

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back as a guest designer for The Stamp Stop, a brand new European retailer for different brands: The Sassy Club, Streamside Studios, The Stamp MarketThe Greeting Farm and more to come. They kindly sent me the lovely Artsy Fartsy stamp set by The Sassy Club, and I'm happy to be sharing my first card featuring that set, one more card coming very soon.

A little note: if there is something you want at The Stamp Stop and it's not available or sold out, make sure to contact them in private on their Instagram page, or directly via the contact form on the website.

I started off by creating the background on a 5 x 3,75 inches kraft panel using the Lawn Fawn Paint Splatter Background stencil. When I stencil on kraft cardstock, I like to create a white base first, so I tape the stencil on top of my panel and used white pigment ink to create my white base. Next I shifted the stencil a little bit to the right, and used different oxide inks to color each paint splatter: lumberjack plaid, rusty hinge, fossilized amber, peeled paint and peacock feathers. I mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters all over the panel, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink and with fossilized amber distress spritz for some shiny accents.

I set my panel aside to dry, and stamped the images on kraft cardstock using Detail Black ink by Pinkfresh Studio. I cut them using my scan 'n cut machine, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. I also stamped "Color my world" on the canvas, colored the letters and stamped several splatters using Lawn Fawn premium dye inks. And I added the same textures as before on the canvas.

I attached the images on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, and applied glossy accents on the palette. I die cut the word Friends out of textured yellow cardstock and out of kraft cardstock, I layered both words, attached the whole piece above the easel using 2mm foam squares, and finally stuck my to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light brown woodgrain card base.
