Sunny Studio - Bountiful Autumn Scene

vendredi 3 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm very happy to be back with this new autumn themed card showcasing the lovely Bountiful Autumn stamp set. I've had this set in my Sunny Studio stash for years but for some reason I never used it, so it was finally time to fix that.

As very often I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then I colored everything using my alcohol markers. And it almost never happens: I only used images from Bountiful Autumn on this card!

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I created the background. I cut a rounded panel out of a leafy green paper from the Sweater Weather paper pack using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, mixed some peeled paint distress ink with water and added green splatters all over my panel, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones turquoise panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my gingham panel into a frame. I added white splatters to that frame, and once dry, I attached it to my leafy green panel using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Thankful" from Bountiful Autumn, stamped "For your kindness" on light aqua cardstock using another stamp from the same set using a dark aqua dye ink, cut it with the matching die, attached it below "Thankful" using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck all my cute images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I attached my rounded panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light aqua panel using foam tape, and then the whole thing to a white card base.

Sunny Studio - Squirrel Friends Autumn Card

jeudi 11 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm very happy to be back with the extra cute and warm Sunny Studio Squirrel Friends, all gathered to pick acorns and have fun in the woods.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Squirrel Friends - squirrels, acorns, stump • Little Birdie - branches • Silly Sloths - leaves • Bunnyville - grass.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I moved on to the background. I cut a rounded panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, and created a bright background using stencils from my stash along with distress inks: a grass border using peeled paint distress ink, and a cloudy sky using scattered straw and fossilized amber distress ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones brown panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my brown gingham panel into a rounded frame. I attached that frame to my cloudy panel using 1mm foam squares, stamped "You're a little nutty & I love it!" from Squirrel Friends, and then attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I stuck my rounded scene to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark brown panel, and then to a brown card base.

Sunny Studio - Autumn Mix & Match

jeudi 4 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this Sunny Studio autumn card featuring the mouse family again. This time, they're back with their rakes to pick up the falling leaves and keep the neighborhood neat and tidy.

I cut a 7,75 x 2,75 inches slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Slimline Scalloped Frame die, and created a very simple background. I divided my panel in two sections using washi tape, and started by covering the bottom part with peeled paint distress ink. I mixed that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add green splatters to my grass section. Next I did the sky on the upper part using a cloudy stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. I mixed some broken china distress ink with water and added blue splatters to the sky, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink and splattered white droplets all over my slimline panel.

When my panel was dry, I stamped my greeting from Fall Friends, attached it to an 8 x 3 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a scalloped panel out of aqua cardstock using another Slimline Scalloped Frame die, stuck the white panel to it using liquid glue, and then attached the whole thing to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches green card base using 1mm foam tape again.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Scenic Route - houses • Woodsy Autumn - trees • Fall Scenes - piles of leaves, rakes, leaves • Truckloads Of Love - truck, pile of leaves (at the back of the truck) • Beach Bus - mouse (driver) • Merry Mice - mice, scarves • Barnyard Buddies - fences.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Happy Autumn

jeudi 28 août 2025

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back with this bright and cheerful autumn card featuring a mix and match of Sunny Studio images from different layering stamp sets. It's always so much fun and kind of magical to see those images come to life layer after layer.

To start, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of dark kraft cardstock and cut an opening out of it using the largest Stitched Semi Circle die. Next I took my Woodgrain embossing folder, applied brown ink inside the folder on one side, placed my kraft panel on the other side, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a cool tone on tone brown woodgrain texture. I mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and used a slim brush to add brown splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. While my Stitched Semi Circle woodgrain panel was drying, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a brown polka dot paper from the Critter Country paper pack, added white splatters all over it, and once that panel was dry, I stuck my woodgrain panel to it using 1mm foam squares.

Next I stamped all my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using dye inks from Lawn Fawn and from Altenew, and here is a detailed list of the layering stamp sets I used: • Sunflower Fields - sunflowers • Pretty Pumpkins - pumpkins, leaves, swirling ivy • Watering Can - watering can. And here are the different color combinations I used to create each image:

• sunflowers - butter + sunflower + carrot + fake tan + doe + walnut (LF)
• watering can - lobster + chili pepper (LF)
• aqua pumpkins - kiddie pool + merman + peacock (LF)
• green pumpkin - frayed leaf + forest glades + moss (Altenew)
• yellow pumpkin - butter + lemonade + sunflower (LF)
• orange pumpkin - carrot + fake tan + pumpkin spice (LF)
• leaves - forest glades + moss (Altenew)
• swirling ivy - moss (Altenew)

Once all the stamping was done, I cut the images using the matching dies, splattered white ink all over them, and once they were dry, I attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and liquid glue as well for the swirling ivy. I white heat embossed "Happy autumn" from Crisp Autumn on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die, and stuck it to the card using foam squares again.

Freakin' Cute Stamps - Chatouille

samedi 16 novembre 2024

Hi there,

I'm so happy to be back with the third and final card I've made as a guest designer for Freakin' Cute Stamps. My first card features Pedro, the second one Citrouille, and on today we meet the ever so sweet Chatouille. Here are a few words about her:

Chatouille is the cutest little mouse who has a serious obsession with flowers and leaves! She can often be spotted frolicking through the forest, armed with a tiny basket, on a mission to find the perfect plants to create the most beautiful bouquets, wreaths, and even adorable veggie ornaments! So, if you ever stumble upon a trail of petals and veggies during one of your strolls, keep an eye open : you may catch sight of our adorable Chatouille.

I printed Chatouille and two flower baskets on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock, as well as two fences from Button, Teacup and Truffle, I cut the images using my scan 'n cut machine, and colored them using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers.

For my background, I cut a 5,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I stenciled using distress inks. On the upper part, I created a cloudy sky using a cloud stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers distress inks. And on the lower part, I created a hill border using a hillside stencil from my stash along with peeled paint and forest moss distress ink.

I stuck my panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches brown panel using double sided tape, and then the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For my greeting, I cut a wavy banner out of dark brown cardstock, white heat embossed "Wishing you a very sweet day" and attached it Chatouille using foam squares. And as always I finished my card with highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Freakin' Cute Stamps - Citrouille

dimanche 10 novembre 2024

Hello there,

I'm back with the second card I've made as a guest designer for Freakin' Cute Stamps. This one features the adorable Citrouille, and just like my first card I made with Pedro, I used brown, yellow, green and turquoise shades to match with the current autumn season.

Here is a quick intro about the lovely Citrouille:

If you're in need of some gourdgeous decorations, Citrouille's place is where it's at! Born in a patch of pumpkins, Citrouille possesses an uncanny knack for sniffing out the most charming squash specimens to spruce up your space.

I printed Citrouille on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock, as well as two fences from Button, Teacup and Truffle , cut the images using my Scan 'n Cut machine, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

For my greeting, I cut a wavy banner out of dark brown cardstock, white heat embossed "Wishing you a very sweet day" and attached it below Citrouille using foam squares. And as always I finished my card with highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Sunny Studio - Thank You Cards Trio

jeudi 7 novembre 2024

Hi there,

I'm so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this trio of colorful Thank You cards showcasing the Buffalo Plaid Straight die and Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die. I used the cute turkeys from Turkey Day only one time last year, so I thought it would be nice to bring them back during this year's autumn season. And as you may already know, I looove to stamp and color images on kraft cardstock, especially on fall cards, so these cards were another occasion for me to have some fun, and I hope these will inspire you to try to do some coloring on kraft, if you haven't already.

And speaking of which, I started off by stamping my images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers using a red, orange, yellow, green and brown color palette.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Turkey Day - turkeys, pumpkins, cup, leaves, slice of pie • Beautiful Autumn - oak leaf, acorn • Fall Friends - acorn • Happy Harvest - sunflowers.

Next I cut three panels out of kraft cardstock using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 die, and I stenciled them using the Diagonal & Straight Stripes stencils along with a different color palette for each panel. On the first panel, I used vintage photo, fossilized amber and peeled paint oxide inks. On the second panel, I used fossilized amber, rusty hinge and lumberjack plaid oxide inks. And on the third panel, I used vintage photo, lumberjack plaid and rusty hinge oxide inks. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on my panels, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut three 4,5 x 3,25 inches Stitched Rectangles out of dark brown cardstock, and attached a panel on each dark brown panel using 1mm foam squares, and then each panel on a 5 x 3,75 inches Gingham Jewel Tones panel using liquid glue.

I attached my images on each panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, tied some twine at the bottom of each panel, right below the images, and then worked on the greetings. I stamped three different sentiments from Words Of Gratitude on brown cardstock using black versafine ink, and trimmed them into slim banners. Next I white heat embossed "Thanks" from Big Bold Greetings three times on dark brown cardstock, cut them using the matching die, and then attached all those pieces of my cards using 1mm and 2mm foam squares again.

Freakin' Cute Stamps - Pedro

vendredi 1 novembre 2024

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back as a guest designer for Freakin' Cute Stamps, a lovely new brand of digital stamps designed by the amazingly talented Lounon aka Craft Me Craft Moi. To celebrate the opening of Freakin' Cute Stamps, join a bunch of crafters in a great Instagram Hop for a chance to win ten digital stamps of your choice. So make sure to check my post over on IG to get all the details about this hop!

I've created three matching autumn cards to support the launch of Freakin' Cute Stamps, and the first one features the adorable Pedro digital stamp. Here is a quick intro about this cute little guy:

Pedro is so happy and proud to present his brand new home! With the assistance of his friends, he constructed it from the ground up. Now that the final coat of paint has dried, it's time to plan a pawsome housewarming celebration!

I printed Pedro and his cute little house on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock, as well as two fences from Button, Teacup and Truffle and pumpkins from Coccyx to set my scene. I cut the images using my scan 'n cut machine, and colored them using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers.

For my greeting, I cut a wavy banner out of dark brown cardstock, white heat embossed "Wishing you a very sweet day" and attached it above the house using foam squares. And as always I finished my card with highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Lawn Fawn - Thankful Autumn Card - Coloring On Kraft Cardstock

mardi 29 octobre 2024

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this lovely slimline autumn card showcasing You Crow Girl from the Fall & Winter 2024 Release, as well as a bunch of Fall images from different sets. I also stamped and colored my images on Kraft cardstock, which is something I like to do all year long, but especially during the Fall season because I think it emphasize this whole sweet and cozy Autumn atmosphere.

I started off by stamping my images on Kraft cardstock using Jet Black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu alcohol markers, using mainly greens, oranges, yellows and browns to fit the Autumn theme.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  You Crow Girl - scarecrow, flower, small crow, clothes details  Happy Harvest - scarecrow, sunflowers, pumpkins, large crows  Eggstraordinary Easter - grass  Let's Go Nuts - acorn  Jump For Joy - leaves.

Next I worked on the pumpkin, and started off by cutting a Stitched Pumpkin Frame out of Canned Pumpkin cardstock. I used other dies from that same set to cut the stem out of Paper Bag cardstock and a leaf out of Algae cardstock, and used another die from Outside In Stitched Pumpkin to cut the second leaf. I used a die from Cute Candy Canes to cut the bow out of a Falling Leaves 6x6 paper, and a die from Hearts & Stars Skinny Tag to cut a heart out of the same paper. And I added a little bit more depth to those pieces using distress inks and sponge daubers.

For the greeting, I used the Giant Outlined Thanks dies. I cut the base out of Paper Bag cardstock, cut the outline out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock and attached it to the base using liquid glue. I cut another outline out of Textured Canvas Beige cardstock, kept the letters only, and tucked them on the woodgrain outline letters.

Next I cut an Outside In Stitched Pumpkin out of a Falling Leaves 6x6 paper, stuck my Stitched Pumpkin Frame to it using liquid glue, and then I attached everything to a slimline card base using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. A card base I created using a Large Slimline With Sliders die along with Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock, and a Scalloped Slimline With Hearts: Landscape die along with a Falling Leaves 12x12 papers.

I attached my Giant Outlined Thanks right on the pumpkin using liquid, white heat embossed "For all you do" from Thanks Thanks Thanks on Chocolate Bar cardstock, trimmed it into a banner using the smallest Everyday Sentiment banner die, and stuck it to the pumpkin as well. And as always, I finished my card with highlights and details using a white gel pen.
