Pretty Pink Posh - Halloween Stockings

vendredi 31 octobre 2025

Hello there, happy Halloween!

I'm thrilled to be back with this slimline card showcasing a mix & match of Pretty Pink Posh items from different years. I've had this Halloween stockings idea since last year but didn't have the time to create it, so I'm glad I was able to finally make it this year.

I started off by stamping all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them using the coordinating dies and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers in a traditional Halloween color palette: black, purple, green and orange. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  Halloween Word Scenes - "Eek"  Batty About You - bats  Halloween Icons - spider webs, spiders, witch hats  Boo To You - candy corn, spider webs  Holiday Stockings - stockings, candy canes, lollipops  Spring Birdhouses - branches.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Next I cut a panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Slimline Peekaboo Windows die, masked the stitched edges off with washi tape and created the sky. First I covered the entire panel with prize ribbon oxide ink, and then used two stencils from the Spooky Sky stencil set: the cloud stencil along with chipped sapphire oxide ink, and the bat stencil along with black soot oxide ink. Next I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters for contrast, and did the same with liquid stardust for a sparkling sky.

When the panel was dry, I attached all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and white heat embossed "You're fangtastic" from Batty About You right below "Eek". For the card base I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches black & grey stripe panel, attached it to a card base, and finally stuck my spooky panel using 1mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Spooky Shaker Card

vendredi 26 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm back with a spooky shaker card for Sunny Studio featuring the sweetest black kitties having fun celebrating Halloween. Last week was all about goth elegance, well today is about cheekiness and cuteness!

As very often I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, and then colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers and Ohuhu markers, picking dark shades of grey for the kitties, spiders and hats, oranges for the pumpkins and pinks for the spooky balloons.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cat Antics - cats (on the right + upside down) • Party Pets - cats (left + middle + flying), balloons • Too Cute To Spook - pumpkins, spider webs, spiders, jack o' lantern faces • Bewitching - hats.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then moved on to my shaker background. I first cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Preppy Prints purple panel and cut a large Stitched Semi Circle opening out of it. I mixed black soot oxide ink water and added black splatters to my purple panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink and with wilted violet distress spritz for some sparkles. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches acetate panel, attached it at the back of my purple panel using liquid glue and then stamped "Trick or Treat" from Too Cute To Spook on the front, directly on the acetate using black Stazon ink, which is an ink that doesn't smear on acetate or vellum.

At the back of my purple panel, I attached 2mm foam strips all around the Stitched Semi Circle window, following the rounded shape, added strips on the very edges of the panel, and poured a bunch of Black Bat confetti on the acetate. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Classic Sunburst pink panel, added black and white splatters all over it, and when it was dry I attached it to the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel. To finish my card base, I cut a black frame using the main Tropical Trees die, attached it using 1mm foam squares, and finally stuck all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Monochromatic Halloween Peonies

vendredi 19 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this monochromatic Halloween card featuring black peonies and spiders. I mostly like to create Halloween cards with cute critters, but when I colored the Pink Peonies from Sunny Studio back in April (you can check the card right here) I knew I would color them again in black to make a monochromatic card.

I started off by stamping my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the coordinating dies and then colored them using my Graph'it brush markers in shades of grey: dark shades for the peonies and spiders, and lighter shades for the leaves. The peonies and leaves are from Pink Peonies, the spiders and spider webs are from Too Cute To Spook, and I usually add details to my images with a white gel pen, but this time I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters to the flowers and leaves, and only added white gel pen details to the spiders.

I cut a 5,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, ran it through my die cutting machine along with my Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die, covered the entire panel with hickory smoke oxide ink, and used the Diagonal Stripes stencil along with black soot oxide ink to add a nice pattern to my panel. Next I mixed black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters to my panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with iron gate mica spray for sparkling details. And once my panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches black panel.

Next I cut a large Scalloped Oval Mat 1 panel out of black cardstock, used the largest Stitched Oval 2 die to cut an opening out of it and this way created a scalloped frame. I used the largest Stitched Oval 2 die again to cut a Subtle Grey Tones woodgrain panel, added black splatters to it, attached both the black frame and grey panel together using tape at the back, and stamped "Happy Halloween" from Too Cute To Spook right in the middle of that panel. I added 1mm foam tape at the back, attached it to my Buffalo Plaid Diagonal panel, and then stuck all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Hocus Pocus Shaker Card

lundi 15 septembre 2025

Hello there,

How exciting it is to be back with this bright and sparkling shaker card! If you've been following me and my work for a while, you know that one of my favorite things is to mix and match new items with older ones, and this is what I did on today's card: the Cat Holder and a few other pieces are from the Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release, the Cauldron Shaker was released a few years ago, and everything matches perfectly, don't you think?

First thing first: the background. I cut a large Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and created a dark spooky background. At the bottom, I applied rustic wilderness oxide ink to create a grass border, and then, going up, I applied prize ribbon and chipped sapphire oxide inks. Next I used the Spooky Trees stencil to add trees to my background. I placed the stencil on my panel, and from top to bottom, I applied black soot and chipped sapphire oxide inks, stopping the inking right above the grass border. As always I added texture to my panel, starting with water droplets that I dried with a paper towel. Next I mixed black soot oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add more splatters to the tree section, I did the same with rustic wilderness oxide ink on the grass section, and then the same again with copic opaque white ink and brushed pewter mica spray that I splattered all over the panel.

When my panel was dry, I attached it to 5,5 x 4,25 inches light mint panel and then to a white card base, and I built my Cauldron Shaker, following those steps:

1. I cut a Cauldron Shaker frame out of purple cardstock, added wilted violet distress ink to the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added purple splatters to my cauldron frame, and did the same with white ink,
2. To make the inside of the cauldron, I took the inside piece I didn't use at step #1, placed it on aqua cardstock, traced the shape using a pencil, cut that shape about 2mm out of the pencil line, and erased the pencil line. I applied peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of my piece of paper, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters, and white ink splatters as well,
3. I used my aqua cauldron shape as a template to cut the same shape out of acetate, and I stuck that piece of acetate at the back of my purple frame using liquid glue,
4. Still at the back of the cauldron frame, I added foam strips all along the curvy edges,
5. I poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the cauldron, peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and then attached my aqua piece of paper to the foam strips to close my Cauldron Shaker.

I cut all the Cat Holder pieces out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot distress ink to the edges of each element, mixed that same ink with water, splattered black droplets all over those pieces using a slim brush, and did the same with white ink. And I wanted him to have a cute chubby face, so I cut his head a second time, trimmed it in a curvy way, added the same ink and texture, and assembled the basic shape (with no accessories and details) of my kitty using 1mm foam squares.

Next I cut all the accessories and details that go on and next to my Cat Holder, starting with the broom using Halloween Holder Additions dies. I cut the stick out of light kraft cardstock and the fluffy part of the broom out of dark kraft cardstock, added vintage photo distress ink to each piece to darken them, mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and added splatters to both pieces, and then did the same with white ink. I cut a Jack o' Lantern out of orange cardstock and a whole one out of dark brown cardstock using a Halloween Holder Additions die. I applied ripe persimmon distress ink to the edges of the orange pumpkin, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters to the pumpkin, and then did the same with white ink. I attached the orange pumpkin to the brown one using 1mm foam squares, and then put the Jack 'o Lantern in the kitty's paws using liquid glue. I cut two hearts out of light pink cardstock using a Valentine Holder Additions die, added texture using picked raspberry distress ink and white ink, and stuck them to the cat's face using 1mm foam squares. I gave him a pair of wiggly oval eyes, as well as black eyebrows using Easter Mug Additions dies, and to make him even cuter, I tied a black organza triple bow around his neck, glued a tiny spider in its center, and applied glossy accents to that spider, as well as to the kitty's nose. I cut one extra Cat Holder out of black glitter cardstock, attached my cute cat to it using 1mm foam squares and by shifting them to get a nice glittery border around the cat.

Before attaching everything to my card, I cut three spider webs out of vellum using a Halloween Holder Additions die, and three spiders out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot distress ink to the edges of each spider, as well as white ink splatters, and when they were dry, I gave them eyes using Onyx pearls. The bubbly potion and detached bubbles were cut out of aqua cardstock using Halloween Mug Additions dies and I gave those pieces the same texture as the inside of the cauldron. Next I quickly put everything on my card to see where I wanted the spider webs to go, I stuck them using liquid glue, and then attached all the elements using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I white heat embossed "Hocus Pocus" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die, and attached it to the Cauldron Shaker using 1mm foam squares. I also white heat embossed "Let's spook up some fun" from Sentiment Strips: Halloween on green cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, applied a bit of mowed lawn distress ink to the edges, and then attached that banner to my card using 2mm foam squares. As the final details and to make my little scene extra magical, I glued fine and chunky glitter to the bubbles.

Pretty Pink Posh - Spider Shaker Card

mercredi 3 septembre 2025

Hi there,

I'm happy to be back with this extra fun and spooky Halloween card showcasing some items from the Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release, including the amazing Spider Shaker die that I adore! I'm not a huge fan of spiders in real life, especially when they're gigantic, but it's impossible to hate them when they're made out of paper and wearing fun wiggly eyes!

I started off by creating the background and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I entirely covered with kitsch flamingo oxide ink. I added picked raspberry oxide ink to the edges to darken my pink background, and to give the illusion that my spooky scene takes place in the woods, I used the Layered Birch Trees stencils along with hickory smoke and black soot oxide inks to add a bunch of trees to my panel. I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some picked raspberry oxide ink with water and added pink splatters, I did the same with black soot oxide ink, and then the same again with copic opaque white ink using a slim brush.

I cut my Spider Web Cover Plate panel out of light purple cardstock and brought more depth and interest to it using distress inks and texture. I first applied wilted violet distress ink, from the edges towards the center of the spider web, and then added villainous potion distress ink, but only to the edges, to darken my panel even more. For the textures, I started by mixing villainous potion distress ink with water and splattered dark purple droplets on my spider web background. I did the same with black soot oxide ink, with white ink as well, and then with brushed pewter mica spray to bring sparkles to this panel.

I stuck my Spider Web Cover Plate panel to my pink panel using 1mm foam squares, and to make my background even more interesting, I cut a Nature Essentials frame out of textured black cardstock and attached it to my purple panel using 1mm foam squares again. Finally, I attached my panel to a white card base using liquid glue.

Next I created my giant Spider Shaker, following those steps:

1. I cut a Spider Shaker frame out of aqua cardstock, added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges and legs, mixed that same ink with water and added splatters all over the spider, I did the same with black soot distress ink and then with copic opaque white ink,
2. I cut a whole Spider Shaker out of acetate and attached it at the back of my aqua spider frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of the spider, I added foam strips all along her rounded body and on each leg as well,
4. I poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the spider,
5. I cut a whole Spider Shaker out of light green cardstock, added peeled paint distress ink to the edges of the rounded body, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters on my green spider, and did the same with copic opaque white ink
6. I peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached the green spider to the strips to totally close my Spider Shaker.

Next I cut the witch hat using dies from Halloween Mug Additions. I cut the hat out of dark grey cardstock, added a bit of black soot distress ink to the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters to the hat, and then did the same with white ink. I cut the hat detail out of light pink cardstock, added picked raspberry distress ink to darken it a bit, and then added splatters. I attached that pink detail to the hat using 1mm foam squares, tied a black organza double bow and attached it to the witch hat using liquid glue.

I wanted my Spider Shaker to be flying on a broom, so I cut two different pieces to build it. I cut the stick out of light kraft cardstock using a Halloween Mug Additions die, and the fluffy part of the broom out of dark kraft cardstock using a Halloween Holder Additions die. I added vintage photo distress ink to each piece to darken them, mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and added splatters to both pieces, and then did the same with white ink.

I also cut a bunch of spiders using dies from the Spider Web Cover Plate die set, and I wanted them to stand out against my background, so I first cut them out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot to the edges of each spider, as well as white ink splatters. I cut more spiders out of vellum using the same dies, attached a black spider to a vellum spider using 1mm foam squares, shifted the spiders a little bit to get those vellum legs noticeable, and then I gave each spider a pair of wiggly eyes.

I white heat embossed "Boo to you" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die, attached it at the bottom right hand corner of my card, and stuck some spiders, starting with the larger one, using foam squares. I slid the broom behind the Spider Shaker's legs, attached more spiders, stuck the hat on the big spider's head, and finally gave her a pair of giant wiggly eyes.

[IG HOP DAY 4] Pretty Pink Posh - Potion Bottle Shaker Cards

jeudi 14 août 2025

Hello there,

Pretty Pink Posh has a brand new collection of Halloween products. Whether you like cute items, shakers, or classic designs, you're sure to find something you'll love. Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along for more spooky cute inspiration!

I created two cards showcasing the Potion Bottle Shaker, along with other items from this brand new release, as well as products from previous years. Let's start with the single Potion Bottle Shaker card, shall we?

I cut a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of light grey cardstock, and created a potion bottle pattern using the Layered Potions stencils along with distress inks: peeled paint, peacock feathers, picked raspberry, wilted violet, vintage photo and black soot. I splattered water all over my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some black soot distress ink with water and added black splatters on my panel, did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with brushed pewter mica spray.

While my panel was drying, I cut all the decorative pieces out of colored cardstock, added matching distress ink to each element, matching splatters and white ink splatters. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Potion Bottle Shaker - medium spiders, small bats  Halloween Bucket Additions - large spider, large bats  Halloween Holder Additions - spider webs, small spiders  Spooky Mug Additions - ghosts  Big Halloween Cupcake - pumpkins.

Next I worked on my Potion Bottle Shaker, and created it following those steps:
1. Cut a Potion Bottle Shaker frame out of pink cardstock, added pink ink to the edges, pink splatters and white splatters
2. Cut a whole Potion Bottle Shaker out of acetate and attached it at the back of the pink frame using liquid glue
3. Still at the back of the frame, added 2mm foam strips all along the frame, following the shape of the bottle
4. Poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the bottle
5. Cut a whole Potion Bottle Shaker out of light purple pattern paper, applied purple distress ink to the edges, added purple splatters and white splatters
6. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached the purple bottle to the strips to totally close my Potion Bottle Shaker.

I decorated the front of my Potion Bottle Shaker with the cork, the label and a black organza double bow. I cut an Eyelet Ovals panel out of vellum, attached it right in the middle of my Layered Potions panel using liquid glue, and then stuck all my bits and pieces, starting with the Potion Bottle Shaker using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Spooky wishes" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die and attached it below the bottle using foam squares. I also white heat embossed "Happy haunting" from Sentiment Strips Halloween on black cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached that banner above the bottle using foam squares again.

To finish this first card, I gave wiggly eyes to both of my ghosts, made the spiders extra fun with large eyes using Onyx pearls, and applied glossy accents to the large spider on the bottle label to make it super shiny. I attached my Stitched Torn Rectangle panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches shimmery dark grey panel using 1mm foam tape, and then to a white card base using liquid glue.

*****

For my second card, I started off by cutting a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of dark grey cardstock, and added a spooky pattern using the Crackle Background stencil along with black soot distress ink. I splattered water over my panel and dried it using a paper towel, mixed black soot distress ink with water and added black splatters to my panel, did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with brushed pewter mica spray.

I cut all the decorative pieces out of colored cardstock, added matching distress ink to each element, matching splatters and white ink splatters. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Potion Bottle Shaker - large spiders  Halloween Holder Additions - small spiders, spider webs  Halloween Bucket Additions - large bat  Spooky Mug Additions - ghosts, pumpkins  Halloween Mug Additions - shelves.

I worked on two Potion Bottle Shakers following the same steps as my first card, but used different colors, and then attached everything on my Crackle Background panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Boo to you" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die and stuck it to the largest bottle label, I gave wiggly eyes to my ghosts, made the spiders super cute with large eyes using Onyx pearls, and applied glossy accents to the bat on the smallest bottle label to make it shiny. I tied a black organza double bow that I attached to the large bottle, added white stars from the Halloween Friends Confetti mix here and there, stuck my Crackle Background panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches pink shimmery panel using 1mm foam tape, and finally to a white card base using liquid glue.

Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release - Fringe Pumpkin

jeudi 7 août 2025

Hello there,

The brand new products from the Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release are now available at Pretty Pink Posh, and I'm happy to be back with this extra bright spooky card showcasing the Fringe Pumpkin that I turned into Jack 'o Lantern using previously released dies. I absolutely adore the whole Fringe collection from Pretty Pink Posh, and I was super happy to see this large Fringe Pumpkin die set in the new release!

I started off by creating my colorful Jack 'o Lantern using the Fringe Pumpkin die set. I first cut the four pieces out of colored cardstock: khaki green, aqua, pink and purple. I added more depth to each element by adding matching distress inks to the edges, as well as a fun pattern using the Mini Polka Dots stencil along with the same matching distress inks. I mixed those inks with water and added splatters to each piece, and then I did the same with copic opaque white and with black soot distress ink.

I wanted to add more contrast to my Fringe Pumpkin, so I cut the pieces again: the first and third one out black glittery cardstock, and the second and fourth ones out of black cardstock. I stuck a colored cardstock piece to a glitter black or black piece using liquid glue, assembled each of my Fringe Pumpkin pieces using 1mm foam squares, and then fluffed the fringes up for more fun. I cut the stem out of brown cardstock, added matching distress ink to the edges and textures as well, and I attached it at the back of my pumpkin, right at the top using liquid glue.

And to make my Fringe Pumpkin super spooky, I cut a Jack 'o lantern face out of black cardstock using Candy Bucket dies, stuck the pieces on the pumpkin using 2mm foam squares, and applied glossy accents to each element to make that face pop even more against the colorful fringes. To finish my Fringe Pumpkin, I tied a triple bow using black organza ribbon, and attached it right at the top using liquid glue.

Next I worked on my background and first cut an Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light pink cardstock. I added a bit of picked raspberry distress ink to the scalloped edges, and then textures: I mixed some picked raspberry distress ink with water and used my slim brush to add pink splatters to those edges for a tone on tone look, and then I did the same with black soot distress and with copic opaque white ink for contrast.

Next I cut a 4,5 x 3,25 inches panel out light grey cardstock and created a Jack 'o Lantern background using the Layered Pumpkins stencils along with the same color palette as my Fringe Pumpkin. And the Fringe Pumpkin may be covering most of my background, we definitely still see the evil pumpkins, and I really love how they all look with those fun colors. Here are the distress inks I used to create them: peeled paint, peacock feathers, picked raspberry and wilted violet for the "bodies", ground espresso for the stems and leaves, and black soot for the faces. I mixed some black soot distress ink with water and added black splatters all over my panel, I did the same with white ink and then the same again with brushed pewter mica spray for sparkles.

Once everything was dry, I assembled my pieces, starting with my Eyelet Rectangle panel that I attached to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape, and then the pumpkin panel on top using that same foam tape again. I cut two Eyelet Oval panels out of vellum, stuck them both using liquid glue, and then attached my Fringe Pumpkin on top using 1mm foam squares, leaving enough space at the bottom for my Halloween Greeting that I white heat embossed on black cardstock, cut using the matching die, and finally attached right below the pumpkin using foam squares again.
