Sunny Studio - Happy Owlidays Shaker Tags

jeudi 4 décembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm back with a new set of holiday tags/ornaments featuring the super cute owls from Happy Owlidays, another set I've had for years but never used on a project, and it was fun to color those three beautiful wreaths and adorable owls.

I started off by creating my three shaker tags, they're all identical, and here are the different steps:

1. I cut a large Scalloped Tag Circle panel out of light brown woodgrain cardstock, and cut a opening out of it using a 2,5 inches circle die from my stash to turn my panel into a circle frame,
2. I applied vintage photo distress ink to the edges of my frame, mixed that same ink with water and added brown splatters to the frame, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink,
3. I cut a whole Scalloped Tag Circle panel out of acetate, attached it at the back of my frame and then attached foam strips all around the frame to create space for my shaker accessories,
4. I poured White Snowflake confetti, sparkling sequins and tiny sugar crystals inside the tag,
5. I cut a whole Scalloped Tag Circle panel again out of a Joyful Holiday red & white snowflake pattern paper, peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached my snowflake panel to totally close my shaker tag,
6. And to finish the back of my tag nicely, I cut one last Scalloped Tag Circle panel out of red cardstock, and stuck that tag panel at the back of my shaker tag using liquid glue.

Next I stamped my Happy Owlidays images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then stuck them on each shaker tag using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

For my three greetings, I used the Brilliant Banner 4 die set, which matched perfectly the shape of my tags. I cut three front pieces and three back pieces out of red cardstock and white heat embossed "Happy Owl-idays" from Happy Owlidays on each front piece. Next I stuck each front piece to a back piece using 1mm foam squares, and then attached each banner at the bottom of each shaker tag using foam squares again.

Finally, I added a handle to each tag/ornament using twine with gold thread details, tied three bows using dark red ribbon and attached a bow at the top of each tag using liquid glue.

Sunny Studio - Holiday Tags

samedi 15 novembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm back with a trio of Christmas tags I made with a mix & match of images from different sets. I really like making tags all year round, and the last ones go back to the 4th of July, so it was extra fun to put these together after all this time.

I started off by cutting three tag panels using the largest Scalloped Tag Square die and three different pattern papers from the Polka Dot Parade paper pack. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters on the three panels, and then did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. I cut three more tag panels out of white cardstock, and attached a polka dot panel to a white panel using liquid glue.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all with the coordinating dies and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers in a non-traditional holiday color palette. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cozy Christmas - Christmas trees, presents • Reindeer Games - Santa • North Pole - nice list, Santa • Santa Claus Lane - presents, sack, Santa • Snowmen In Sweaters - snowflakes.

Once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to my images using a white gel pen, added a dot of glossy accents to each light in the Christmas trees to make them shine, and then attached my images on each tag using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, creating three super cute little scenes.

I used the Build A Greeting Holidays stamp set to stamp my sentiments: "Happy Holidays", "Merry Christmas" and "Season's Greetings". I added silver twine through the hole at the top of each tag, and then glued sparkling double bows to finish them nicely.

Sunny Studio - 4th of July Shaker Tags

jeudi 12 juin 2025

Hello there,

I'm back today with more 4th of July inspiration using a fun Sunny Studio mix and match on shaker tags. I hope these will inspire you!

As very often, I started off by stamping my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my Ohuhu markers using the red, white and blue color palette. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Summer Sweets - icecreams, popsicles, milkshakes • Big Panda - sunglasses • North Pole - stars • Balloon Rides - banners.

Next I created three shaker tags. They all may be different in colors, the three of them were made the same way, so here is how I did the blue one, for example:

1. Cut a Scalloped Tag Circle out of blue cardstock, and used a 2,5 inches circle die from my stash to cut an opening out of it, leaving with a blue circle frame
2. Cut a whole Scalloped Tag Circle out of acetate, and attached my blue frame on top using liquid glue
3. Flipped my panel over, and added 2mm foam strips all along the edges of the scalloped edges, following the rounded shape
4. Poured some Americana confetti on the acetate
5. Cut a whole Scalloped Tag Circle out of a Surprise Party starry blue paper
6. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached the starry blue panel to the strips to close the shaker tag
7. Cut one last Scalloped Tag Circle out of the same blue cardstock as 1. and stuck it at the back of the tag to make the back of my tag as nice as the front

I created the red shaker tag and the white shaker tag following the same steps, and the white starry paper in the white tag is from the Subtle Grey Tones paper pack.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then attached them on each tag using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I created three identical greetings using stamps from Beach Bus. I white heat embossed "Happy" on aqua cardstock and trimmed it into slim banners, I white heat embossed "Summer" on black cardstock, cut them using the matching die, and then attached a "Happy Summer" sentiment on each tag using foam squares again.

Next I tied matching twine to each tag to make handles, created three double bows out of a pretty gingham red ribbon (I wish I had the same in blue and white to make a perfect match) and attached a bow at the top of each tag using liquid glue. Finally I applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the icecreams, popsicles and milkshakes, and glossy accents to the stars to bring shine and sparkle to those tags.

Pretty Pink Posh - Easter 2025 Release - Fringe Egg & Build An Egg

dimanche 16 mars 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this adorable set of shaker card and tag showcasing several products from the Pretty Pink Posh Easter 2025 Release. What a cute and fun release it is, I really had a blast mixing and matching cardstock and pattern papers to create my projects and I hope that these will inspire you. The brand new collection will be available on March 19th.

I started off with the card and cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light brown woodgrain cardstock. I added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the edges, I mixed that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on the panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and once the panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white leafy panel, and then to a white card base.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces I needed to build my three Easter eggs using Build An Egg dies. Each egg has a kraft base, and for the decorative pieces, I combined colored cardstock and pattern papers. I attached those decorative pieces on each kraft egg using liquid glue, cut four extra eggs out of pattern papers using dies from Easter Bucket Additions and Easter Mug Additions, I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added splatters to each egg, and then set them all aside to dry.

I cut several bows in different sizes out of a floral pink pattern paper and out of pink cardstock. For the large one I used a Present Shaker die, for the medium one I used an Easter Bucket Additions die, and for the smaller ones I used a Beautiful Bows die. I used 1mm foam squares to assemble them, and shifted them a little bit to get a nice pink border behind each floral pink bow. I added white splatters to each bow, and set them aside to dry. To create the daisy, I used another die from Easter Bucket Additions, I cut the petals out of white cardstock and the center piece out of yellow cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, assembled the petals with 1mm foam squares and stuck the center piece with liquid glue.

While all the above was drying, I worked on the shaker bucket, and I built it the same way I always build my shaker tags:

1. Cut a Candy Bucket frame out of brown cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, and let it dry

2. Cut a whole Candy Bucket out of acetate, and attached it at the back of the bucket frame using liquid glue

3. Still at the back of the bucket, added foam strips all around the opening and on the upper part of the bucket as well

4. Poured Sugar Pop shaker beads inside the bucket

5. Cut another Candy Bucket out of yellow cardstock, and stuck it to the foam strips to totally close the shaker bucket

To decorate the top of my bucket, I cut another Candy Bucket out of white cardstock, and used a Doily Border die to cut a pretty decorative piece out of this white bucket. I added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, let the border dry, and then attached it to the shaker bucket using 1mm foam squares. Next I cut two Grass Borders out of green cardstock, added matching distress ink to the edges and splatters, and attached those borders inside the bucket: the first one close to the top edge of the bucket with liquid glue, and the second one higher than the first one with 1mm foam squares to leave enough space for the eggs between each Grass Border.

I attached the bucket to my Eyelet Rectangle panel using liquid glue, the three Build An Egg eggs using foam squares, and the smaller eggs on each side of the bucket using foam squares as well. I attached each bow and the daisy using foam squares, white heat embossed "Easter Blessings" from Easter Greetings on kraft cardstock, cut it using the matching die, added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the edges, and then attached it at the bottom of the bucket using foam squares. Finally I picked two white hearts and a pink one from the Valentine Hearts confetti mix, and stuck a heart in the center of each medium and small bow.

*****

Next I created the Fringe Egg ornament, and started off by stamping a bunny from Bunny Friends, as well as two flowers from Easter Greetings on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut those three images using the matching dies, and colored them using my Graph'it brus markers and Ohuhu markers. I also white heat embossed "Hoppy Easter" from Easter Greetings on yellow cardstock, and added a little bit of fossilized amber distress ink on the edges.

I cut each piece of my Fringe Egg twice in order to create a nice border between each fringe and add more interest to the egg: the fringes on the front out of pattern papers and the fringes in the back out of matching colored cardstock. I stuck each patterned fringe to its matching fringe using liquid glue, shifting them a little bit to create a nice border below the patterned fringes, and then I assembled the four pieces using 1mm foam squares. I cut another egg out of brown cardstock using the larger Fringe Egg die, and a handle out of the same cardstock using a Build A Stocking die. I attached the handle at the top of the brown egg, and then attached that egg at the back of my Fringe Egg using liquid glue.

I cut an Eyelet Oval panel out of vellum, attached the bunny, flowers and greeting to it using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck the vellum panel to the front of my Fringe Egg using 2mm foam squares. To decorate the top of the ornament, I attached a large bow and a daisy, just like the ones I added to the shaker bucket, added twine to the handle, and finally some highlights and details to the bunny and flowers using a white gel.

Pretty Pink Posh - Easter 2025 Release - Bunny Holder & Carrot Shaker

samedi 15 mars 2025

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this new lovely set of card and shaker tag showcasing multiple items from the Pretty Pink Posh Easter 2025 Release. As always, I had lots of fun combining new products with previously released ones, and I absolutely adore this super duper cute bunny! The brand new collection will be available on March 19th.

I started off with the card, cut a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of kraft cardstock, and added a fun tulip and carrot pattern to it using the Springtime Borders stencils along with oxide inks: spun sugar, worn lipstick and mowed lawn for the tulips, rusty hinge and rustic wilderness for the carrots, and fossilized amber and white pigment ink for the daisies. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over my panel, and set my piece of paper aside to dry.

I cut two other Stitched Torn Rectangle panels out of two different pattern papers, cut a Grass Border out of each panel, and added white splatters to each border.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers, added more depth and splatters to each element using matching distress inks, as well as white splatters, and let everything dry.

Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Bunny Holder - bunny, small carrots  Easter Holder Additions - basket, small carrots, daisies, leaves, bow  Easter Bucket Additions - large carrots  Fall Mug Additions - scarf  Spooky Mug Additions - fences  Snowman Shaker - hat  Big Easter Cupcake - sign, heart cheeks, eyebrows

For my greetings, I first white heat embossed "Some bunny loves you!" from Easter Greetings on yellow cardstock, I cut it using the matching die, and added matching distress ink on the edges. I also white heat embossed "Hoppy Easter" from Easter Signs on the sign.

When everything was dry, I assembled and attached everything on my panel using liquid glue and foam squares. I added twine around the hat and tied a bow, gave the bunny a pair of wiggle eyes, applied glossy accents to his nose, and glued a heart confetti to each bow for a last touch of cuteness. And I finally attached my Stitched Torn Rectangle panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches plaid panel, and then to a card base.

*****

Next I created the Carrot Shaker tag, following those steps:

1. Cut a Carrot Shaker frame out of some orange pattern paper, and a whole Carrot Shaker panel out of acetate
2. Attach the frame to the acetate panel using liquid glue
3. Flip the panel over and add foam strips at the back of the frame all along the curved edges of the carrot
4. Pour Sugar Pop shaker beads inside the frame
5. Cut another Carrot Shaker panel out of yellow cardstock
6. Cut the handle out of green cardstock using a Build A Stocking die and attach it to the yellow panel, right at the top of the carrot
7. Stick the yellow panel to the foam strips to totally close the Carrot Shaker tag

Once the base of the tag was done, I added decorations. I cut the tops of the Carrot Shaker out of two different green pattern papers, attached them to the tag using liquid glue and foam squares, and added twine and tied a bow. I had some extra daisies and leaves from the card, so I attached them to the tag as well. I white heat embossed "Easter Greetings" from Easter Greetings on pink cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges, and stuck the greeting to the tag using foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Hello" and "Happy Easter" from Upright Greetings: Easter on kraft cardstock, trimmed both greetings using Sentiment Strips dies, added matching distress ink on the edges of each strip, attached them both to the shaker tag handle, and added ribbon and a bow to decorate the top of the tag. And finally I glued a heart confetti in the center of the twine bow.

Pretty Pink Posh - Fringe Present & Present Shaker Duo

vendredi 7 mars 2025

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back with this new set of card and tag showcasing die sets from the Pretty Pink Posh February 2025 Release! This release is absolutely amazing, and I had a blast working on very colorful projects with all the new products, finding inspiration in the gorgeous Party Time shaker beads mix.

I started off with the card, and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I entirely covered with spun sugar oxide ink first. Next I used the Layered Garlands stencil to add a colorful pattern to my panel with seedless preserves, worn lipstick, lumberjack plaid, lucky clover, mowed lawn and salty ocean oxide inks. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some copic opaque white ink water and used a slim brush to add more splatters to my panel, and then I did the same with fossilized amber distress spritz and with black soot oxide ink to add more shine and contrast.

Next I cut the four sections of my Fringe Present, as well as the bow, out of colored cardstock. I added dots to each piece of the present using the Medium Polka Dots stencil along with matching distress inks, and stars to the bow using the Starry Background stencil. I added splatters of copic opaque white ink to all those elements, and while everything was drying, I cut a star out of gold glitter cardstock using a Onesie Shaker die and a large Eyelet Square out of vellum. I also cut the Happy Birthday Shadow pieces out of gold mirror cardstock and vellum, and assembled my greeting.

I assembled the four Fringe Present pieces using 1mm foam squares, attached the present to the vellum Eyelet Square panel using 1mm foam tape, and then stuck the whole piece to my Layered Garlands panel using foam tape again. The bow, star and greeting were attached using 1mm foam squares, I lifted the fringes with my fingers, and then moved on to the tag.

*****

I absolutely love to create see-through shaker tags, I always follow the same steps, so here is how I built it:
1. Cut a Present Shaker frame out of colored cardstock and a whole Present Shaker panel out of acetate
2. Attach the frame to the acetate panel using liquid glue
3. Flip the panel over and add foam strips at the back of the frame all along the four edges
4. Pour Party Time shaker beads inside the frame
5. Cut another Present Shaker out of acetate and stick it to the foam strips
6. Cut the handle using a Build An Ornament die and attach it to the acetate, right at the top of the tag
7. Cut another Present Shaker frame and stick it to the acetate panel to finish the back of the tag nicely

Next I cut all the pieces to decorate the present. I cut the bow using another Present Shaker die, as well as Streamers out of colored cardstock. I added the same pattern to the bow as the one on the Fringe Present card using the Starry Background stencil, and added copic opaque white ink splatters to the bow, streamers and present frame. I cut a gold glitter star using a Onesie Shaker die, cut the For You pieces out of gold mirror cardstock and vellum, and assembled my greeting. I attached the bow at the top of my Present Shaker and the golden star on top using foam squares, added gold ribbon and twine to the handle, and finally stuck my greeting on the Streamers using liquid glue.
