Hello there, happy Thanksgiving!
I'm thrilled to be back with this duo of Christmas pastel card I created using multiple items from my Pretty Pink Posh stash. It was really fun to cut all the bits and pieces out of different colored cardstock, and assemble them to create those pretty baubles. As very often, I mixed and matched products from different sets, so make sure to check the list down below to get all the details.
I started off by cutting two Eyelet Rectangle panels out Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I masked the scalloped edges on both panels using washi tape, and applied a base first using spun sugar oxide ink on one panel, and salvaged patina oxide ink on the other. To make those panels prettier, I used the Medium Polka Dots stencil to add the same pattern on both panels, but with different colors using kitsch flamingo oxide ink on the pink panel, and peacock feathers oxide ink on the blue panel.
Next I added texture to my panels, starting with water droplets that I dried with a paper towel. I mixed some kitsch flamingo oxide ink with water, added splatters on the pink panel using a slim brush, and did the same on the blue panel using peacock feathers oxide ink. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters on both panels, and then did the same with liquid stardust. I removed the washi tape, and set my panels aside to dry.
Next I cut all the Build An Ornament and Love From Afar elements out of colored cardstock and holographic cardstock, keeping everything to a specific color palette: pink, white, green and aqua. I assembled two Earth baubles and four colorful shaped baubles, and to match with the backgrounds, I splattered white ink on them as well. I also cut white strings using a Party Balloons die, white glitter snowflakes using Winter Mug and Big Christmas Cupcake dies, two banners and two turquoise glitter hearts using Love From Afar dies.
I stuck each banner to an Earth bauble using liquid glue, and next I attached everything on the panels using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I stuck each Eyelet Rectangle panel to a card base, and finally added a mix of Bubblegum, Sea foam and Limeade pearls in the middle of each snowflake for more shine and pastel details.
