[IG HOP DAY 3] Pretty Pink Posh - Spring Floral & Vase Shaker Card

mercredi 14 mai 2025

Hello there,

There is a new collection at Pretty Pink Posh featuring hummingbirds, teacups, florals, and more! This collection of products will take your paper crafts to new heights, and I'm super happy to be participating in this Instagram Hop Day #3 with this daffodil themed shaker card showcasing a mix & match of the new products, with a few items previously released.

Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along for inspiration that will inspire your floral and friendship projects all year long!

I started off by working on the background, first cut a Scallops Pierced panel out of kraft cardstock, and added daffodils to my panel using the Layered daffodils stencil set along with fossilized amber and spiced marmalade oxide inks for the flowers and rustic wilderness oxide ink for the leaves. I splatters water all over my panel and used a paper towel to dry it, mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters to my panel, I did the same with vintage photo oxide ink for contrast, and then with fossilized amber distress spritz for gold sparkles.

Next I cut a large Eyelet Circle panel out of vellum, added white ink splatters and fossilized amber distress spritz splatters, and set both of my panels aside to dry.

I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added more depth and interest to each colored cardstock piece by applying matching distress ink on the edges. I also used those matching distress inks mixed with water to add splatters to each colored cardstock element. And then, I added white ink splatters to all the pieces (colored cardstock + pattern papers) I set everything aside to dry, and worked on my Vase Shaker, following those steps:

1. Cut a Vase Shaker frame out of dark pink pattern paper and added white ink splatters to it
2. Cut a whole Vase Shaker out of acetate, and stuck it at the back of the frame using liquid glue
3. Still at the back of the Vase Shaker, added foam strips all along the edges, following the shape of the vase
4. Poured a bunch of Enchanted shaker beads inside the vase
5. Cut a whole Vase Shaker out of light pink pattern paper, added white ink splatters and matching distress ink splatters to it
6. Peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips, and stuck this light pink vase to the strips to totally close the Vase Shaker
7. Cut the decorative piece out of white cardstock, added splatters to it, and attached it at the bottom of the vase using 1mm foam squares

Next I attached the Eyelet Circle vellum panel right in the middle of my Layered Daffodils panel using a couple of 1mm foam squares in the center, and then assembled and stuck all the bits and pieces using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

As always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: Spring Floral - daffodils, leaves Spring Mug Additions - butterflies Beautiful Bows - bow.

I white heat embossed "Forever friend" from Friend Greetings on brown cardstock and added a little bit of matching distress ink to the edges, attached my greeting to the vase using foam squares, glued a white heart from the Valentine Heart clay confetti mix on the bow, attached my panel to a white card base, and finished it by applying glossy accents to the butterflies bodies and antennae.
