Hello there,
I'm super happy to be back with this adorable Spring card showcasing Pretty Pink Posh products, mostly from the February 2026 Release. This card features the cutest little chick taking care of his tulips and daisies on a rainy day, but lucky him, he has a lovely pink umbrella to keep his feathers dry.
I started off by creating the rainy background, and cut a 5,5 inches square panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I temporarily taped the center piece of the Watercolor Circle stencil set right in the middle of my panel using rolled-up pieces of washi tape, applied shaded lilac oxide ink to the edges of my panel, and darkened the inside edges a little bit by applying some wilted violet oxide ink.
I removed the center piece of the Watercolor Circle stencil set, temporarily taped the edge piece of the stencil set, applied tumbled glass oxide ink in the center of my panel, and then removed the stencil.
Next I taped the Raindrops stencil on top of my panel, and added raindrops using wilted violet oxide on the purple edges and broken china oxide ink on the middle section of my panel. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters all over the panel, and did the same with liquid stardust. And then I did the same on the purple section with wilted violet distress spritz and the same again on the blue section with tumbled glass distress spritz. When my panel was dry, I attached it to a 4,75 inches square white card base using 1mm foam tape.
I cut all the bits and pieces out of white cardstock, vellum, colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added white splatters to the chick, umbrella, vellum clouds, tulips, daisies center pieces, leaves and flowerpots, added liquid stardust splatters to the white clouds, light pink umbrella pieces and daisies, and added fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the daisies center pieces. I let everything dry, and then assembled all the elements using 1mm foam squares.
Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Chick Holder - chick, beak, feet • Springtime Holder Additions - umbrella, flowers, leaves, flowerpots • Stitched Clouds - clouds • Bunny Holder - chick belly • Valentine Bucket Additions - heart cheeks.
I gave the chick a pair of large googly eyes, and then attached everything to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Spring Has Sprung" from Easter Banner Greetings on blue cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 3 die, and attached that banner to my card using foam squares again. Finally I applied glossy accents to the chick's beak and feet, and white blizzard nuvo drops to his heart cheeks.
