Lawn Fawn Little Bundle - Pastel Babygros (mass production)

samedi 27 août 2016

Hey there!

For these five cards, I got inspired by this cute polka dot pattern papers. The pale colors immediately made me think of baby cards. So glad I had this stamp set from Lawn Fawn to create them!

First I cut scalloped circles in five polka dot papers and stitched circles in watercolor cardstock. Then I used my Misti tool to stamp babygros and hangers on the watercolor circles. This tool is the best when it come to make multiple identical projects!

I painted the babygros using distress inks, making sure the colors was matching the polka dot papers. And then I stamped a little heart in the middle of each babygros.

I die cut five stitched rectangles in the same polka dot papers, and five other stitched rectangles in white cardstock. Then I die cut stitched scalloped borders in those white rectangles.

Again I used my Misti tool to stamp my sentiments of my polka dot rectangles.

I glued each polka dot sentiment at the bottom of each white scalloped cardstock using my grid mat to make sure everything was perfectly straight. I glued each scalloped polka dot circles with regular adhesive, and each babygros on top of them with foam dots.

And finally I adhered my five pannels on white bases.

SSS August Card Kit - Thinking of You

vendredi 26 août 2016

Hey there!

Here are three simple cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp August card kit. They were inspired by Nichol Spohr.

First I die cut rectangles and stars at the same time in three different pattern papers included in the kit. Then I placed double sided tape at the back of each pattern paper to cover the star shape.

After that I used the star die again and cut the shape in three other papers: a craft one, a red one and a white one, and adhered all the little stripes in place. The craft stripes on the white star pattern paper, the red stripes on the blue star pattern paper and finally the white stripes on the craft star pattern paper.

I used my misti tool to stamp my sentiment with versamark ink on each pannel and then heat embossed with gold and white powder.

I glued fun foam in the back of each piece to add some dimension and finally adhered each one on card bases.

SSS August Card Kit - Rainbow Galaxy

samedi 20 août 2016

Hello there!

Here is a new card using some product from the Simon Says Stamp August card kit.

First I white heat embossed the images on watercolor paper. Then in order to create a bright rainbow effect I applied and blended together several distress inks. To add a little more details to my galaxy I sprayed some water that I dried almost immediately with a paper towel.

Then I treated some black paper with a powder tool to avoid any static electricity, white heat embossed my sentiment and cut one end to make a little banner.

Adhered my rainbow galaxy pannel on the wood paper included in the kit. And glued everything on a white cardstock base where I stamped the second part of my sentiment with black ink.

Finally I added a bunch of sequins to make everything more sparkling.

SSS Rockin' Roller Coaster die - Rollercoasters & Shimmering clouds

mercredi 17 août 2016

Hello there!

I was looking at my Rollercoasters & Fireworks twilight card yesterday and thought "Maybe I could make the day version of it!" So here it is.

First I die cut the rollercoaster in white paper, then I applied and blended distress inks to create a nice bright sky, making it lighter as I was getting to the top of the card.

I die cut two different sizes of clouds and painted them with clear glitter to make them a little more interesting.

Created my sentiment using my Misti tool with silver embossing powder and black ink. I glued everything in place and adhered the pannel on white cardstock. Glued everything on a white base and added some sequins to finish the card.

SSS August Card Kit - Rollercoasters & Fireworks

dimanche 14 août 2016

Hello there!

I started by die cutting the rollercoaster and the little train in black cardstock. Then I applied and blended together four different shades of distress inks on watercolor paper to create a nice twilight sky.

Then, to create sparkling fireworks, I applied versamark ink with the stencil from the Simon Says Stamp august 2016 card kit and brushed some gold perfect pearls. It was my first time using this product and I must say that I really like it!

I glued the rollercoaster and the little train in place. Used my Misti tool to stamp my sentiment. I adhered my pannel on black cardstock and then the whole thing on a white base. And finally I glued some clear sequins to add a last touch of sparkle.

Avery Elle Be a Unicorn - Magical Birthday

Hello there!

Here is a new card using the "Be a Unicorn" stamp set by Avery Elle. Had so much fun using these cute images for the first time!

First I painted stripes on watercolor paper using pink distress ink, and then cut it with a scalloped border die. I stamped the images on another piece of watercolor paper with waterproof black ink, colored them deliberately roughly and die cut them using the coordinating dies.

Added my sentiment using my Misti tool to be sure to get a crisp result on the watercolor paper and then adhered my images on the striped paper: the rainbow with regular adhesif and the unicorn with foam dots.

Adhered the whole scene on some pink watercolored paper from my stash. Stamped a few stars and a heart, glued some clear droplets here and there, and added glossy accents on the unicorn's horn to finish my card.

Supplies I used:
- the "Be a Unicorn" stamp set from Avery Elle
- distress inks from Tim Holtz: candied apple, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, mowed lawn, salty ocean and weathered wood for the rainbow - dried marigold, vintage photo, weathered wood and picked raspberry for the unicorn
- watercolor paper from Canson
- clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh
- scalloped rectangle stackables from Lawn Fawn
- pink watercolor paper from American Crafts
- white cardstock from Neenah
- black die ink from Hero Arts
