Lawn Fawn - 4th of July with the Mouse Family

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog today with this lovely 4th of July themed slimline card featuring the mouse family. The last time we saw them, they were busy in their garden, harvesting tomatoes, and today they're back with some new fun adventures.

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Jet Black ink. I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Graph’it brush markers and my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers, using mostly a red, white and blue color palette to match my 4th of July theme.

Here is a detailed list of the products I used: • Woosh, kites for two mice, kites, clouds, grass, heart and "Fly high" tiny sentiment • Treat Cart for one of the treats and spoons • Fly High for the hot air balloons, banners and mouse • Crazy Antics for the mice, blanket, picnic basket and tiny ants • All The Speech Bubbles for three speech bubbles and "Hello friend" tiny sentiment.

Next I cut a Scalloped Slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and used stencils along with oxide inks to color it. On the lower part, I created two grassy hills using a Hillside stencil along with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks. On the upper part, I did the sky using tumbled glass, salty ocean and prize ribbons oxide inks. And I added cloud details using the Cloudy stencil along with Yeti ink.

Once my panel was dry, I white heat embossed my "Wishing you a happy day" greeting from Woosh, Kites at the very bottom, and then I attached all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added a little bit of white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart to make it shine.

Next I cut a Large Slimline panel out of the watermelon slushy paper from the Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime 12x12 collection, attached it to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches card base, and finally attached my scalloped panel using liquid glue.
