Sunny Studio - Autumn Mix & Match

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this Sunny Studio autumn card featuring the mouse family again. This time, they're back with their rakes to pick up the falling leaves and keep the neighborhood neat and tidy.

I cut a 7,75 x 2,75 inches slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Slimline Scalloped Frame die, and created a very simple background. I divided my panel in two sections using washi tape, and started by covering the bottom part with peeled paint distress ink. I mixed that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add green splatters to my grass section. Next I did the sky on the upper part using a cloudy stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. I mixed some broken china distress ink with water and added blue splatters to the sky, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink and splattered white droplets all over my slimline panel.

When my panel was dry, I stamped my greeting from Fall Friends, attached it to an 8 x 3 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a scalloped panel out of aqua cardstock using another Slimline Scalloped Frame die, stuck the white panel to it using liquid glue, and then attached the whole thing to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches green card base using 1mm foam tape again.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Spider Shaker Card

Hi there,

I'm happy to be back with this extra fun and spooky Halloween card showcasing some items from the Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release, including the amazing Spider Shaker die that I adore! I'm not a huge fan of spiders in real life, especially when they're gigantic, but it's impossible to hate them when they're made out of paper and wearing fun wiggly eyes!

I started off by creating the background and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I entirely covered with kitsch flamingo oxide ink. I added picked raspberry oxide ink to the edges to darken my pink background, and to give the illusion that my spooky scene takes place in the woods, I used the Layered Birch Trees stencils along with hickory smoke and black soot oxide inks to add a bunch of trees to my panel. I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some picked raspberry oxide ink with water and added pink splatters, I did the same with black soot oxide ink, and then the same again with copic opaque white ink using a slim brush. 

I cut my Spider Web Cover Plate panel out of light purple cardstock and brought more depth and interest to it using distress inks and texture. I first applied wilted violet distress ink, from the edges towards the center of the spider web, and then added villainous potion distress ink, but only to the edges, to darken my panel even more. For the textures, I started by mixing villainous potion distress ink with water and splattered dark purple droplets on my spider web background. I did the same with black soot oxide ink, with white ink as well, and then with brushed pewter mica spray to bring sparkles to this panel.

I stuck my Spider Web Cover Plate panel to my pink panel using 1mm foam squares, and to make my background even more interesting, I cut a Nature Essentials frame out of textured black cardstock and attached it to my purple panel using 1mm foam squares again. Finally, I attached my panel to a white card base using liquid glue.

Next I created my giant Spider Shaker, following those steps:

1. I cut a Spider Shaker frame out of aqua cardstock, added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges and legs, mixed that same ink with water and added splatters all over the spider, I did the same with black soot distress ink and then with copic opaque white ink,

2. I cut a whole Spider Shaker out of acetate and attached it at the back of my aqua spider frame using liquid glue,

3. Still at the back of the spider, I added foam strips all along her rounded body and on each leg as well,

4. I poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the spider,

5. I cut a whole Spider Shaker out of light green cardstock, added peeled paint distress ink to the edges of the rounded body, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters on my green spider, and did the same with copic opaque white ink

6. I peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached the green spider to the strips to totally close my Spider Shaker.

Next I cut the witch hat using dies from Halloween Mug Additions. I cut the hat out of dark grey cardstock, added a bit of black soot distress ink to the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters to the hat, and then did the same with white ink. I cut the hat detail out of light pink cardstock, added picked raspberry distress ink to darken it a bit, and then added splatters. I attached that pink detail to the hat using 1mm foam squares, tied a black organza double bow and attached it to the witch hat using liquid glue.

I wanted my Spider Shaker to be flying on a broom, so I cut two different pieces to build it. I cut the stick out of light kraft cardstock using a Halloween Mug Additions die, and the fluffy part of the broom out of dark kraft cardstock using a Halloween Holder Additions die. I added vintage photo distress ink to each piece to darken them, mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and added splatters to both pieces, and then did the same with white ink.

I also cut a bunch of spiders using dies from the Spider Web Cover Plate die set, and I wanted them to stand out against my background, so I first cut them out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot to the edges of each spider, as well as white ink splatters. I cut more spiders out of vellum using the same dies, attached a black spider to a vellum spider using 1mm foam squares, shifted the spiders a little bit to get those vellum legs noticeable, and then I gave each spider a pair of wiggly eyes.

I white heat embossed "Boo to you" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die, attached it at the bottom right hand corner of my card, and stuck some spiders, starting with the larger one, using foam squares. I slid the broom behind the Spider Shaker's legs, attached more spiders, stuck the hat on the big spider's head, and finally gave her a pair of giant wiggly eyes.

Sunny Studio - Happy Autumn

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back with this bright and cheerful autumn card featuring a mix and match of Sunny Studio images from different layering stamp sets. It's always so much fun and kind of magical to see those images come to life layer after layer.

To start, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of dark kraft cardstock and cut an opening out of it using the largest Stitched Semi Circle die. Next I took my Woodgrain embossing folder, applied brown ink inside the folder on one side, placed my kraft panel on the other side, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a cool tone on tone brown woodgrain texture. I mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and used a slim brush to add brown splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. While my Stitched Semi Circle woodgrain panel was drying, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a brown polka dot paper from the Critter Country paper pack, added white splatters all over it, and once that panel was dry, I stuck my woodgrain panel to it using 1mm foam squares.

Next I stamped all my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using dye inks from Lawn Fawn and from Altenew, and here is a detailed list of the layering stamp sets I used: • Sunflower Fields - sunflowers • Pretty Pumpkins - pumpkins, leaves, swirling ivy • Watering Can - watering can. And here are the different color combinations I used to create each image:

• sunflowers - butter + sunflower + carrot + fake tan + doe + walnut (LF)

• watering can - lobster + chili pepper (LF)

• aqua pumpkins - kiddie pool + merman + peacock (LF)

• green pumpkin - frayed leaf + forest glades + moss (Altenew)

• yellow pumpkin - butter + lemonade + sunflower (LF)

• orange pumpkin - carrot + fake tan + pumpkin spice (LF)

• leaves - forest glades + moss (Altenew)

• swirling ivy - moss (Altenew)

Once all the stamping was done, I cut the images using the matching dies, splattered white ink all over them, and once they were dry, I attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and liquid glue as well for the swirling ivy. I white heat embossed "Happy autumn" from Crisp Autumn on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die, and stuck it to the card using foam squares again.

Sunny Studio - Critter Campout Mountain Scene

I'm very happy to be back with this lovely little camping scene showcasing the adorable Critter Campout stamp set by Sunny Studio. Soon I'll be sharing autumn themed cards here, and I thought that this stamp set was just perfect to make a smooth transition between summer and fall.

I started off by stamping all my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. I didn't use a bunch of stamp sets to create this card, but still, here is a detailed list of the ones I picked: • Critter Campout - critters, fire, tents, marshmallow sticks • Seasonal Trees - pine trees • Country Scenes - mountains.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then cut a Strathmore bristol smooth panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle. I created a cloudy sky using a stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. Splattered water on the clouds and dried my panel with a paper towel, mixed broken china distress ink with water and added blue splatters to those clouds using a slim brush, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

When my cloudy panel was dry, I attached my images, starting with the mountain landscape from Country Scenes using 1mm foam squares, leaving enough space for my greeting, and then I attached all the remaining images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I stuck my panel to a slightly larger white one, next to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches brown panel and then to a white card base. And I finally stamped my "Together is my favorite place to be" greeting from Critter Campout right above my little scene.

[IG HOP DAY 4] Pretty Pink Posh - Potion Bottle Shaker Cards

I created two cards showcasing the Potion Bottle Shaker, along with other items from this brand new release, as well as products from previous years. Let's start with the single Potion Bottle Shaker card, shall we?

I cut a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of light grey cardstock, and created a potion bottle pattern using the Layered Potions stencils along with distress inks: peeled paint, peacock feathers, picked raspberry, wilted violet, vintage photo and black soot. I splattered water all over my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some black soot distress ink with water and added black splatters on my panel, did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with brushed pewter mica spray.

While my panel was drying, I cut all the decorative pieces out of colored cardstock, added matching distress ink to each element, matching splatters and white ink splatters. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Potion Bottle Shaker - medium spiders, small bats • Halloween Bucket Additions - large spider, large bats • Halloween Holder Additions - spider webs, small spiders • Spooky Mug Additions - ghosts • Big Halloween Cupcake - pumpkins.

Next I worked on my Potion Bottle Shaker, and created it following those steps:

1. Cut a Potion Bottle Shaker frame out of pink cardstock, added pink ink to the edges, pink splatters and white splatters

2. Cut a whole Potion Bottle Shaker out of acetate and attached it at the back of the pink frame using liquid glue

3. Still at the back of the frame, added 2mm foam strips all along the frame, following the shape of the bottle

4. Poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the bottle

5. Cut a whole Potion Bottle Shaker out of light purple pattern paper, applied purple distress ink to the edges, added purple splatters and white splatters

6. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached the purple bottle to the strips to totally close my Potion Bottle Shaker.

I decorated the front of my Potion Bottle Shaker with the cork, the label and a black organza double bow. I cut an Eyelet Ovals panel out of vellum, attached it right in the middle of my Layered Potions panel using liquid glue, and then stuck all my bits and pieces, starting with the Potion Bottle Shaker using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Spooky wishes" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die and attached it below the bottle using foam squares. I also white heat embossed "Happy haunting" from Sentiment Strips Halloween on black cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached that banner above the bottle using foam squares again.

To finish this first card, I gave wiggly eyes to both of my ghosts, made the spiders extra fun with large eyes using Onyx pearls, and applied glossy accents to the large spider on the bottle label to make it super shiny. I attached my Stitched Torn Rectangle panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches shimmery dark grey panel using 1mm foam tape, and then to a white card base using liquid glue.

For my second card, I started off by cutting a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of dark grey cardstock, and added a spooky pattern using the Crackle Background stencil along with black soot distress ink. I splattered water over my panel and dried it using a paper towel, mixed black soot distress ink with water and added black splatters to my panel, did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with brushed pewter mica spray.

I cut all the decorative pieces out of colored cardstock, added matching distress ink to each element, matching splatters and white ink splatters. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Potion Bottle Shaker - large spiders • Halloween Holder Additions - small spiders, spider webs • Halloween Bucket Additions - large bat • Spooky Mug Additions - ghosts, pumpkins • Halloween Mug Additions - shelves.

I worked on two Potion Bottle Shakers following the same steps as my first card, but used different colors, and then attached everything on my Crackle Background panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Boo to you" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die and stuck it to the largest bottle label, I gave wiggly eyes to my ghosts, made the spiders super cute with large eyes using Onyx pearls, and applied glossy accents to the bat on the smallest bottle label to make it shiny. I tied a black organza double bow that I attached to the large bottle, added white stars from the Halloween Friends Confetti mix here and there, stuck my Crackle Background panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches pink shimmery panel using 1mm foam tape, and finally to a white card base using liquid glue.
