Craftin Desert Divas - Sweet Daisies - Shaker Card

lundi 19 juin 2017

Hello there!

This card was inspired by the gorgeous pastel colors on the Craftin Desert Divas June Mood Board Monthly Challenge, especially the picture showing four colorful bottles. And as I was thinking about making a shaker card, I thought these pretty daisies could comfort somebody and make him or her smile.

I first started by measuring and cutting my windows. Then I cut a piece of clear acetate and attached it at the back of my window panel.

I colored my flowers using alcohol markers, and fussy cut them. To make room for my shaker material, I doubled my foam tape, cut it in half to make thiner strips and attached it at the back of my window panel.

I glued a piece of pattern paper on a white piece of cardstock, made sure to avoid any stickiness from the double sided foam using an antistatic tool, placed some sequins in each window, and closed the whole thing by attaching my pattern paper panel at the back of the windows.

I attached my flowers on the windows using double sided tape and some foam squares to make the petals raise a little bit. I die cut a banner stamped my sentiment on it, and placed at the middle of my panel.

I glued the whole panel on a white card base, and added some clear glitter to the petals to finish the card.

Craftin Desert Divas - Up in the clouds

mercredi 14 juin 2017

Hey there!

Here is my first card as an official member of the Craftin Desert Divas Digital Team! I'm so happy to be a part of this amazing and talented crafty team! Thanks again for letting me join you Tara!

So, this first card is quite simple, but I love it, this little flying bear is the cutest! There will be a night version very soon!

I first started by printing my image on a white cardstock and colored it using alcohol markers. I was kind of practicing and didn't really know if I was going to keep the final result so I didn't record it, but the markers I used are listed in the supplies list down below.

Next I created my sky using three shades of inks, and applied a layer of white embossing paste using a cloud stencil to finish my sky. Once the paste was dry, I attached my panel to a multicolor diagonal pattern paper, and then attached the whole thing to a white card base. I glued some clear droplets and applied a touch of glossy accents on his goggles to finish the card.

Under The Sea Card Series - Mermaid Family

mercredi 7 juin 2017

Hey there!

Here is a new card for my Under The Sea Series! I played with colors that I rarely use, and I really enjoyed it! Hope you'll like it!

To create my three little panels, I first started by placed making tape where I wanted the paper to stay white. Next I applied distress inks to create the bottom of my ocean, and then I splattered a lot of water using my distress sprayer to complete the ocean effect.

I stamped the images on some alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colored them using my spectrum noir markers. I wanted to create a little mermaid family so I colored them using the same colors. I also stamped the seaweeds at the bottom of my panel using a green distress ink, and my sentiment on the right side.

It wasn't planned but while making the card, I decided to create a big wave accross the three little panels using the little school of fish stamp. I glued my images, added some clear glitter on their tail, attached my panel on a white card base and adhered clear droplets to match the theme and finish the project.
