Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #31 - Enchanted Forest

jeudi 28 juin 2018

Hey there,

Today I'm back with a new card for the "Flowers, Floral & Foliage" Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! At first I thought I didn't have a set that has flowers in it, but then I remembered I had of this gorgeous "Fairy Friends" set that include cute big flowers. I combined it with the "Bayou Backdrop" die set.

I first started by stamping all my images on neenah 80lb white cardstock using alcohol marker friendly black ink and my misti tool to be able to stamp them twice and get a nice impression. I cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I took a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" piece of bristol smooth cardstock and applied two shades of purple/blue distress inks on it, going dark at the bottom and light to the top. Sprayed water on that panel, dried it using paper towel, and added tiny droplets of the darker shade for more interest.

I die cut several pieces to build the background: two grass borders and one ivy frame. Did the same coloring process for these elements as the background: inks, sprayed water and tiny blue droplets.

Then I assembled everything: attached both grass borders at the bottom of my panel. White heat embossed my sentiment in the middle of it. Attached two white frames to create some kind of dimension. Tucked and glued my images between the grass borders using glue dots. Attached the panel to a white card base. Attached the ivy frame on my panel using thin double sided tape. Glued two cute fairies and applied clear shimmer to their wings. And finally I added some white details to the ivy leaves.

Summer Card - Float & Relax - Massive Masking

vendredi 22 juin 2018

Hello there,

How about taking some vacation far away in a place where it's always sunny and where life is peaceful? Look at this cutie, having a good time in the pool... I personnally wouldn't say no to that ^^

First thing I did was cutting several elements from masking paper to create the background: the pool, the edges of the pool and the sidewalk area. Using these masks, I applied distress inks on my bristol panel. I added small circles to the sidewalk part using white ink and a stencil, and water splatters to the pool.

I die cut other elements to complete the scene: two palm trees and a sun that I colored using distress inks. Attached them to the panel using liquid glue and glue dots.

Stamped my sentiment, colored the image using alcohol markers and attached it on the pool. Added white lines around it to create the illusion of little waves. Applied clear glitter to her hair and tail and glossy accents to the rubber ring and her sun glasses to finish the card.

Summer Card - Surfing at Sunset - Massive Masking

mardi 19 juin 2018

Hello there,

Here is a new summer card I've made featuring a lot of masking and ink blending, and a cutie from the new "Waves" stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas. Hope you'll like it!

I first started by cutting several pieces from masking paper: the hills, the ocean and the sun, and colored my background using them and several distress inks. Added white details to the ocean edge, and brown dots to the sand.

Next I stamped my image on neenah solar white cardstock, fussy cut it and colored it using my alcohol markers. Attached it at the bottom right of my panel using foam adhesive squares.

I drew some birds on the sky, and stamped my sentiment: first part using black ink and second part using gold embossing powder. And finally I attached my panel to a white card base.

Under The Sea Card Series - Mermanimals

samedi 16 juin 2018

Hello there,

I'm back to share with you this colorful card inspired by the CDD Mood Board and using the new "Mermanimal" stamp set. I absolutely adore this new set, it's so cute!

I first started by cutting six identical circles off a masking paper rectangle. Next I applied this "holed" masking paper on a bristol smooth rectangle, and colored each circle using a bunch of distress inks.

To add more interest to these circles, I splattered water on top of them and dried it using paper towel.

Next I stamped my images on neenah solar white cardstock, fussy cut and colored them using alcohol markers, making sure to use the same tons as my circles. I also stamped my sentiment on the bottom left circle, and then attached my images on their matching circle.

Added white dots to their cheeks, clear glitter to their tails, some clear drops here and there, and attached the panel to a white card base to finish the project.

Summer Card - A Little Splash - Massive Masking

jeudi 14 juin 2018

Hello there,

It's day 4 of Sneak Peek Week for Craftin Desert Divas June Release so I'm sharing this card featuring the new "100% Magical" stamp set that I mixed with an "old" island die set to create a cute scene. Hope you'll like it!

I wanted something different compared to what I usually do so I first started by masking the edges of a bristol smooth panel, and next I inked the different parts: sky, ocean, island, using masking paper.

Once everything was colored, I draw some waves on the ocean using a thin brush and water, dried them with a paper towel, and accentuated them using a white gel pen.

I thought the unicorn would be a little bit alone on the island, so I die cut and colored using distress inks several elements to build a palm tree. Attached it on the left of the panel using liquid glue and glue dots.

Colored my image using alcohol markers and attached it on the island next to the palm tree. I drew some birds in the sky using a black gel pen, stamped my sentiment along the right edge of the ocean, attached the panel to a white card base, applied glossy accents to the diving mask and clear glitter to her hair to finish the project.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #30 - Treasure Hunt 2

mercredi 13 juin 2018

Hello there,

Here is the second "Treasure Hunt" card I've made for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #30. The first one was about pirates digging in the sand to extract a chest, this time it's about scuba divers discovering a chest full of golden coins in the deep of the ocean. Hope you'll like it ^^

I first started by creating the background, and for that I die cut two hill borders that I colored using two shades of teal distress inks. Sprayed some drops of the darker color on top of them.

Then I colored a bristol smooth panel using three different shades of blue distress inks, going dark at the bottom to light at the top. Sprayed water that I dried with a paper towel. Created the rays of light using a stencil and white ink.

I stamped all my images on neenah solar white cardstock using black alcohol marker friendly ink and cut them using the coordinating dies. Attached them on my panel using glue dots, white heat embossed my sentiment, applied clear glitter to the golden coins, glossy accents to their masks, and added here and there clear drops to give the illusion of bubbles.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #30 - Treasure Hunt 1 - Pop-Up Card

Hey there,

Today I'm sharing with you a pop-up card I've made for the last Lawn Fawnatics Challenge using several stamp sets and die sets from Lawn Fawn. I often like to browse through my LF supplies, searching for sets that could go together and make a cute scene.

I first started by stamping all my images using black alcohol marker friendly ink on neenah solar white cardstock. I used my misti tool in order to be able to stamp them twice and get crisp lines. Then I colored everything using my alcohol markers.

Next I took bristol smooth cardstock and die cut several elements to build the scene: a mountain border, two ocean borders and a pop-up border. From the same cardstock, I also cut two rectangles for the sky and for the sand. I colored all these pieces using distress inks.

On the inside top part of a kraft card base, I attached the sky and the mountain border, on the inside bottom part, I attached the sand and the two ocean borders, and finally I attached the pop-up element. Attached all the images using glue dots, stamped my sentiment and two little birds to finish the card.

Under The Sea Card Series - Unimermaid - Shaker Card

Hello there,

Today is day 3 of Sneak Peek Week for Craftin Desert Divas June Release, and so I'm back to share with you this shaker card I made using lots of sequins and beads, and the new "Mermanimal" stamp set.

I first started by creating the front panel. And for that, I took a rectangle of white cardstock and used a scallop die to create a wave border and a rectangle die to create the window. I secured the scalloped frame at the back and attached a clear acetate piece, also at the back, to make the window.

Still at the back of the window panel, I attached stripes of double sided foam tape to create dimension and room for my shaker elements. Created the background using blue distress inks, placed sequins and beads in the window and closed the shaker with the blue distress ink panel. And then I attached that shaker panel to a pattern paper base.

I stamped my image on neenah solar white cardstock, fussy cut it and colored it using alcohol markers. Added clear glitter to her hair and white dots to her tail.

I die cut a reef border, colored some of the corals using same colors as the unimermaid hair, cut and glue them at the bottom of the window. Stamped my sentiment on the acetate using stazon black ink, attached my image in the middle of the window using foam adhesive squares and applied clear glitter to the corals to finish the card.

Summer Card - Surfing The Waves

mardi 12 juin 2018

Hello there,

It's day 2 of Sneak Peek Week for Craftin Desert Divas June Release so today I'm taking you to the beach to watch surfers playing in the waves. These cuties are from the new "Waves" stamp set, and I also used a wave die set from previous release.

Recently I've been searching the internet for inspiration for my projects, so here is the picture I took as an example to create this card:

So, I first started by die cutting some elements: two wave borders from bristol smooth cardstock, and circles with different sizes from masking paper for the sun.

Adhered the circle masks on my bristol panel, and used three different shades of orange/yellow distress inks to create the sun. Next I splattered water on it and dried it with paper towel.

I used three different shades of blue distress inks to color the waves, making the front one lighter than the one in the background. I also splattered water on them. Next I attached the light one on the dark one using foam adhesive squares, stamped my sentiment, and then glued the whole wave element on my panel right under the sun.

I stamped my image on neenah solar white cardstock, fussy cut it and then colored the image using alcohol markers. I love this stamp, it's my favorite from the set! Next I attached it in the waves using foam adhesive squares. Added clear drops here and here to finish the card.
