Pretty Pink Posh - Beach Fun Shadow Box

Hello there,

I'm back with this new Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box card featuring a family of cute hedgehogs having a great time at the beach: building a sandcastle, bouncing in the waves or enjoying cool popsicles, they plan to do all the fun activities!

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Beach Fun - parasol, large ball, flip flops, sunglasses, seashells, starfish, large bucket, surfing board, shovel • Summer Icons - popsicle, small ball • Summer Fun - small bucket (with sand inside), swimming hedgehogs • Hedgehog Friends - hedgehog.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of aqua cardstock. I kept one of them, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a fun pattern on both of them using the Summer Words stencil along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I started by covering it with mustard seed oxide ink, and then I added a sunray pattern using the Line Bursts stencil along with spiced marmalade oxide ink, placing the stencil in a way that the circle shape is in the top left corner of my panel. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some fossilized amber oxide ink with water, and added yellow splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters.

To ground my cute little scene, I cut three basic insert pieces out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Shadow Box die. I turned two of them into sand inserts using the wavy die from the set, and turned the third one into a wave insert using the cloud die upside down. For the sand inserts, I first covered them with antique linen oxide ink, added a little bit of vintage photo at the bottom, and then blended the colors. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and added brown splatters to each sand border, and then added white splatters as well. For the wave insert, I first covered it with peacock feathers oxide ink, added some blueprint sketch oxide ink at the bottom, and blended the colors. I splattered water on the insert and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water and added dark blue splatters to my wave insert, and then I did the same with white ink.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the sand inserts, the wave insert and the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Life is better at the beach" from Beach Fun on dark blue cardstock, cut it into a banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and finally attached that banner at the very top of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Citrus Shadow Box

I'm very happy to be back with this new Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box card, which is the first of a series of five I'll be sharing in next few days/weeks, featuring some bright and juicy lemons, ready to be picked to make some refreshing lemonade and delicious lemon pies.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Citrus - lemons, leaves, flowers • Spring Birdhouses - branches • Simple Thanks - large greenery • Jungle Friends - ivy.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of aqua cardstock. I kept one of them, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a lemon pattern on both of them using the Layered Citrus stencils along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I started by covering it with squeezed lemonade oxide ink, and then I added a dot pattern using the Medium Polka Dots stencil along with mustard seed oxide ink. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some fossilized amber oxide ink with water, and added dark yellow splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters.

I cut three basic insert pieces out of green cardstock using a Shadow Box die, and used the grass border die from the set to turn my three basic inserts into grass inserts. I added rustic wilderness distress ink at the top edge of each insert, mixed that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add green splatters to each grass border, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the grass inserts and the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. To stick the branch and ivy inside the box, I just cut a basic insert out of acetate, trimmed it in half lengthwise, attached both acetate inserts inside the box, right at the top, and stuck the branch and ivy using 3mm glue dots.

I white heat embossed "Wish I could give you a squeeze" from Citrus on aqua cardstock, trimmed it into a banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and finally attached that banner at the bottom left side of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - From The Strawberry Patch

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back, live from my Sunny Studio Strawberry Patch! I picked some bright and juicy strawberries, put them all in my Build A Bowl colander, and now I'm heading to the kitchen to cook them into jam and pies.

I started by creating the background using pattern papers along with the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die. For the sky, I picked a paper from the Summer Splash pack. I added a little bit of salty ocean distress ink to the edges, mixed that same distress ink with water, added blue splatters to my cloudy panel using a slim brush, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. For the grass, I picked a paper from the Dots & Stripes pastels pack and cut a border using a die from the Picket Fence die set. I applied mowed lawn distress ink to the edges of the grass border, mixed that same ink with water, added green splatters to the grass border, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

To add more interest to my little scene, I cut a Picket Fence out of white woodgrain cardstock, added pumice stone distress ink at the top of each pointy plank and texture using the same ink, and then white splatters.

While my pieces of paper were drying, I cut the elements out of textured grey cardstock to create a colander using the Build A Bowl die set. I added hickory smoke distress ink to the edges of each piece, as well as white splatters, and then glued them all to assemble my colander. I also created a bunch of strawberries using the Strawberry Patch die set. I used matching distress inks to add more depth to each element, added white splatters and then set everything aside to dry.

I stamped my "I couldn't ask for a sweeter friend" sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings stamp set at the very top of my cloudy panel, and next I assembled the background. First I attached the cloud panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape. I stuck the grass border using 1mm foam tape as well, and then attached the fence using liquid glue, tucking the bottom parts right behind the grass sprigs.

I filled the inside of the colander with strawberries and leaves using liquid glue, added more on top using foam squares, and then attached the colander to my panel using foam squares again. I added a couple more strawberries and leaves on both sides of the colander, and finally attached my panel to a white card base.

Pretty Pink Posh - Sand Bucket Shaker Card

I'm super happy to be back with this extra cute and colorful summer shaker card showcasing items from the Pretty Pink Posh June 2025 Release. What an amazing release it is, with all the beautiful summer themed products! I'm really enjoying working with all those new goodies!

For today's card, I started off by cutting a large Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I covered it with salvaged patina oxide ink, and then added seashells all over it using the Seashell Background stencil along with peacock feathers oxide ink. As always I added texture to my panel, starting with water splatters that I dried with a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel, I did the same with peacock feathers and prize ribbon oxide inks, and also added sparkling droplets using liquid stardust. When my panel was totally dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape, and then the whole thing to a white card base.

Next I cut two more Stitched Torn Rectangle panels out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and used Shoreline Border dies to cut a border out of each panel: a small one and a bigger one. I blended antique linen and vintage photo oxide inks on both panels, and added water splatters, white ink splatters and brown splatters to create a sandy texture.

I cut five different Stitched Seashells and the shovel, which is part of the Sand Bucket Shaker die set, out of colored cardstock, applied matching distress inks to the edges of each element, mixed the same inks with water and added splatters to them, and did the same with copic opaque white ink. Set them all aside to dry, and built my Sand Bucket Shaker, following those steps:

1. Cut a Sand Bucket Shaker frame out of blue cardstock using the main die and the die that cut the bottom part off (added texture, which is totally optional)

2. Cut a whole bucket out of acetate, and stuck the bucket frame on top using liquid glue

3. Flipped the bucket over, and added foam strips all along the edges of the bucket and on the upper section as well

4. Poured a bunch of Beach Town mix and Spring Breeze shaker beads inside the bucket

5. Cut a whole Sand Bucket Shaker out of a light green pattern paper (added texture)

6. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached that green bucket to the foam strips to close the Sand Bucket Shaker

To decorate the front of the bucket, I cut a whole Sand Bucket Shaker out of a blue gingham pattern paper, trimmed the upper part off, added white splatters to it, and then attached it to the bucket using 1mm foam squares. I also cut the bucket handle out of white cardstock, added texture to it using pumice stone oxide ink and white ink, and once dry, stuck it to the bucket using foam squares again.

Next I assembled everything on my card, starting with the largest Shoreline Border that I attached using 1mm foam squares. I stuck my Sand Bucket Shaker, tilting it a little bit to the left, and tucked three Stitched Seashells inside of it. I attached the starfish outside of the bucket for more interest, added the small Shoreline Border to give the illusion that the bucket is tucked in the sand, and added the shovel and one more Stitched Seashells to decorate the bottom of my card.

I went for three greetings, white heat embossing them all on colored cardstock: "You are spe-shell" is from Seashells and I cut it using the matching die, "Happy summer" and "Wishing you sunny days" are from Sentiment Strips: Summer and I trimmed them using Sentiment Strips dies. I attached each sentiment on my card using foam squares, and to finish it, I added sparkles to the Stitched Seashells using white blizzard nuvo drops.

Pretty Pink Posh - Sandcastle Shaker Card

Hello there,

 I'm back to take you to the beach and have some fun building a giant sandcastle using items from the Pretty Pink Posh June 2025 Release! As always, I created a very textured background and added a few seashells in the corners, but this Sandcastle Shaker is totally self-sufficient and is definitely the star of the show, or should I say the star of the beach!

I started off by cutting a Chevron Pierced panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I placed the Watercolor Oval stencil on top, and covered the middle of my panel with antique linen oxide ink to create sand. I applied a little bit of vintage photo oxide ink on the edges to darken the sand a little bit, mixed the colors with my blending tools, and then added a subtle pattern to this sand section using the Mini Polka Dots stencil along with vintage photo oxide ink. At that point I knew that most of the sand would be hidden behind a vellum panel, but the polka dot pattern is cute and we still can see it through the vellum. I splattered water on the panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water and used a small brush to add brown splatters all over the sand section, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I removed the Watercolor Oval stencil, and once the sand was dry, I temporarily taped the mask that comes with the Watercolor Oval stencil to the sand section using pieces of rolled-up washi tape at the back of the mask. I covered the rest of the panel with salvaged patina oxide ink, and created a seashell pattern using the Layered Seashells stencils: with stencil #1, I applied peacock feathers oxide ink with a very light hand, and with stencil #2 I applied the same ink but with a heavier hand to make the seashell details stand out. Just like the sand section, I added texture to my seashell border, starting with water splatters. Next I mixed some peacock feathers oxide ink with water and used my slim brush to add more splatters to the seashells, and I did the same with white ink. To finish my background, I wanted to add a foam effect along the sand edges, so I first used a sponge dauber and applied copic opaque white ink on those edges, and then I used the rounded end of a brush to add more ink. And when my panel was dry, I attached it to a light blue card base.

I used Seashell Border dies to cut six seashells out of colored cardstock, picked matching distress inks and applied ink to the edges of each seashell, mixed those distress inks with water and added splatters to the seashells. I did the same with white ink, set them aside to dry, and then worked on my Sandcastle Shaker. Here are the steps I followed to build it:

1. Cut a Sandcastle Shaker frame out of kraft cardstock using the main die and the small insert dies

2. Applied vintage photo distress ink to the edges of the castle, and added white and brown splatters

3. Cut a whole Sandcastle Shaker out of acetate, and attached the castle frame on top using liquid glue

4. Flipped the castle over, added foam strips all around it and on the middle sections as well, creating four different "rooms"

5. Poured Chocolate shaker beads inside each "room"

6. Cut a whole Sandcastle Shaker out of beige pattern paper, splattered white ink all over it

7. Peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips

8. Attached the beige castle to the foam strips to totally close the Sandcastle Shaker

I decorated the front of my sandcastle with brown gingham roofs and white glitter flags on top of each roof. Next I cut a large Eyelet Circle panel out of vellum, added white splatters all over it, stuck my Sandcastle Shaker on top right in the middle using 1mm foam squares, attached the vellum panel to my card using 1mm foam squares again, and added seashells on the corners.

For my greetings, I started by cutting the Summer Script twice: out of dark aqua cardstock and out of white cardstock. I attached the dark aqua word on top of the white word using liquid glue, shifting them a little bit to create a white border, and then stuck my Summer Script to the Sandcastle Shaker using liquid glue as well. Next I white heat embossed "Sending good vibes" from Sentiment Strips: Summer on light blue cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached that banner to the castle using foam squares.

Finally, I applied glossy accents to the Summer Script to make it super shiny, with kind of a wet effect, and added sparkles to the seashells using white blizzard nuvo drops.

Sunny Studio - Happy Summer Slimline Card

I'm so happy to be back with this Sunny Studio busy card! Since summer is officially here, I thought it would be nice to take you to the beach, drink some refreshing cocktails and have fun in the ocean. As very often, the scene I had in mind had many images in it, so I went for a slimline design to create my card.

I started off by stamping all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, and then colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Tiki Time - bar, torches, cocktails, leaves, toucans • Seasonal Trees - palm tree, coconuts • Tropical Birds - flowers • Paris Afternoon - table & parasol, chairs • Beach Bus - surfboard • Ocean View - seashell • Beach Babies - two characters, balloon • Kiddie Pool - four characters, droplets • Beach Buddies - sunglasses, snorkeling mask.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, set them aside for later, and cut a 3 x 8 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel. I masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, divided it in three sections using washi tape again, and used oxide inks to create my beach landscape:

• in the upper section, I created a cloudy sky using a stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and broken china. I mixed some broken china oxide ink with water, and used a slim brush to add splatters to my sky,

• on the middle section, I blended antique linen and vintage photo to create sand, and added brown splatters using vintage photo oxide ink,

• on the lower section, I did the ocean using broken china and uncharted mariner, and added dark blue splatters using uncharted mariner oxide ink.

Next I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel. And to give the illusion of sea foam between the sand section and the ocean section, I applied white ink on that area using a sponge dauber, and added even more ink using the rounded end of a brush.

When my panel was dry, I white embossed "Happy summer" from Beach Babies at the very bottom, and then I attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I cut a scalloped panel out of aqua cardstock using a Slimline Scalloped Frame die, attached it to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches white card base using 1mm foam tape, and finally stuck my beach scene panel using foam tape again.

Sunny Studio - Rainbow Ice-Creams

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with a super duper extra colorful birthday card showcasing Two Scoops. I've had this Sunny Studio stamp set in my stash for a very long time, and I knew that when I'd use it, it would be on a rainbow themed card. So here we are!

I started off with all the stamping, and the Two Scoops layering stamps are super easy to line up, so even if it looks like the stamping took a million years, it actually did not, it actually was pretty quick. Here is a detailed list of the Lawn Fawn premium dye inks I used to stamp everything, from light to dark:

• pink - ballet slippers + peachy keen + guava

• orange - peach fuzz + carrot + fake tan

• yellow - butter + lemonade + sunflower

• green - celery stick + freshly cut grass + jalapeno

• aqua - kiddie pool + merman + peacock

• purple - fresh lavender + grape jelly + sugarplum

• cones - pizza crust + doe

Once the stamping was done, I cut the images using the matching dies, mixed some copic opaque white ink with water, and used a slim brush to add white splatters to each image. I also picked matching distress inks, mixed each of them with water, added more splatters to the ice-creams, and then I did the same with matching distress spritz for sparkling details.

Next I cut a slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame die set, and used distress inks to create watercolored splashes, giving the illusion of melting ice-cream. I mixed each ink with water, and from left to right, I applied the colors with a fluffy brush: worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, mowed lawn, peacock feathers and wilted violet. I let the paper dry, and then added more ink to get different shades on each splash of colors.

I added water splatters all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel, I mixed the same distress inks with water and used a slim brush to add matching splatters, next I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and then with matching distress spritz for shine and sparkles.

Once my watercolored panel was dry, I attached it to a slightly larger slimline aqua panel using liquid glue, and then worked on the rainbow scalloped panel. I started by cutting multiple strips out of colored cardstock using a strip die from the Ribbon & Lace Borders die set. I attached each strip of paper to a large piece of cardstock in this order: pink, orange, yellow, green, aqua and purple, and then used the scalloped die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame die set to cut my rainbow strips panel. I attached this panel to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches white card base using 1mm foam tape, and then stuck my watercolored panel on top using foam tape again.

For my greeting, I cut two fishtail banners using a die from the Notebook Photo Corners die set: a pink one and a gold glitter one, and I white heat embossed "Hope you have a sweet birthday" from Summer Sweet on the pink one. I stuck the pink banner on top of the gold glitter one, shifted them for a little bit of more fun, using 1mm foam squares, and finally attached my banner at the bottom right hand corner of my card using foam squares again.
