Sunny Studio - Valentine Treat Boxes

jeudi 29 décembre 2022

Hi there,

I'm so glad to be back on Sunny Studio's blog to share my last & final project of the year, showcasing the ever so cute Puppy Love critters on Valentine treat boxes!

I built five simple rectangle boxes, and I wanted them to be colorful, so I picked papers from the Flirty Flowers paper pack to create a rainbow of boxes. I also wanted the recipient of the box to have a peek at what's on the inside, so I used a die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 die set to cut an opening in the middle of each lid. And to close each opening, I used acetate.

I stamped the Puppy Love cuties on white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them using the coordinating dies, and as always I colored everything using my alcohol markers. And I colored the hearts so that they match the boxes.

Next I white heat embossed five "You're pawsome" greetings from Puppy Love on black cardstock, trimmed them into slim banners, and then I attached the puppies and the sentiments on the boxes using foam squares.

Finally I added white highlights on the images using a white gel pen, and applied Stardust Glitter on each heart to match the sugary and yummy fruit jelly treats inside the boxes. And that's it, super easy and very cute, love those adorable puppies! Thank you so much for stopping by, and see you next year!

Sunny Studio - Frozen Christmas Tags

jeudi 22 décembre 2022

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back on Sunny Studio's blog today with this set of three frosty tags! Once again, I went through my entire Sunny Studio collection to pick the different elements, and to create a frozen wintery look, I went for a teal + white + silver combo.

I started off by cutting three tags using a turquoise dotted pattern paper from the Dots & Stripes Pastels paper pack and the main die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 die set. I also cut three smaller pieces out of a darker colored cardstock and another die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 die set. I embossed those three darker pieces using the Woodgrain embossing folder, and then to give all those elements more interest, I added white pigment ink on the edges, as well as copic opaque white ink to emphasize the frozen look.

I cut three white toppers using another die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 die set, and assembled a few things: I attached a small woodgrain panel in the center of each tag using double sided tape, and then a white topper at the very top of them using foam squares.

Next I stamped and cut all the elements to decorate the tags. I white heat embossed three poinsettias from Classy Christmas on vellum and cut them using the coordinating dies. I also cut a bunch of white, silver and white glittery leaves using dies from Pristine Poinsettia and Spring Greenery. And then I assembled and created a small cluster on each tag.

I cut three additional tags using the main die from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 die set and attached one at the back of each tag to give them a nice finishing touch. And then I added the last details.

I cut three tiny silver circles using a die from the Comic Strip Everyday die set, glued one in the middle of each poinsettia, and added a clear droplet on top of each silver circle to bring more shine. I silver embossed three "Merriest Wishes" greetings from Reindeer Games on circle tags I cut using a die from the Sliding Window die set, and added white ink on those small tags to match the whole frosty look, and finally I attached those circle tags along with silver bells at the top of each tag using twine and ribbons.

Lawn Fawn - Foiling with Regular Dies - Happy New Year Gold & Black Card

mardi 20 décembre 2022

 Hello there,

I'm back with my last Lawn Fawn video of the year, let's celebrate 2023 a little bit early with some cute kitties, balloons and champagne!

As very often I started off with the coloring. I stamped my the images using Jet black ink, used the coordinating dies to cut them all and colored everything using my alcohol markers in gold, grey and black.

Next I gold foiled a Black licorice piece of paper using the Snowy backdrop, and then cut it into a 5,5" x 4,25" panel. I also cut my Simple diagonal stripes floor, and finished it nicely with a Picket fence stripe. I attached those elements at the bottom of my gold foiled panel using double sided tape, and then gold heat embossed my "Happy New Year" greeting on a Simple wavy banner.

I cut two Cheers scripty words: a gold glitter one and a vellum one. I layered both pieces on top of each other, and then attached all the elements and images on my panel using foam squares. And as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

Sunny Studio - Joyful Holiday Double Slider Surprise Card

jeudi 15 décembre 2022

 Hi there,

I'm so glad to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with more inspiration showcasing some of the Fall & Winter 2022 products, as well as some older sets. I mixed & matched a lot of images, and used papers from the Joyful Holiday paper pack to set a cute & fun interactive scene.

I started off by stamping the images on white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and then colored everything using my alcohol markers. These are the sets I picked my images from:

Reindeer Games - four reindeers
Cozy Christmas - Christmas tree & present
Santa Claus Lane - presents, sack & stocking
North Pole - north pole sign & two elves

Next I moved on to the interactive feature. I cut all the different panels using some of the gorgeous Joyful Holiday papers, and built the card (the whole process is included in the video down below, so feel welcome to check it out!) To make the sky I picked a multicolored dotted pattern paper, and to make the snowy ground, I picked a white & light grey gingham pattern paper.

Once the interactive panel was done, I attached the images, and then I layered some panels to create the card base: I stuck a 5,5" x 4,25" red Joyful Holiday panel on a card base, next a white woodgrain panel on top, and then a soft pink panel on top, and finally I attached my interactive panel using foam tape.

I also cut the handles out of a green gingham Joyful Holiday paper, and attached them on both sides of the card, and then I worked on my greeting. I white heat embossed the banner from Little Birdie on vellum, as well as my "Merry Christmas" greeting from Bear Hugs inside the banner, cut it using the coordinating die, and then attached it below the Christmas tree using clear foam squares. And last but not least, I added a dot of glossy accents on each light in the Christmas tree to make them pop & shine.

Sunny Studio - Winter Wreath Shaker Card

jeudi 8 décembre 2022

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back today on Sunny Studio's blog with this new shaker card showcasing the beautiful Winter Wreaths stamp set. As very often I went for non-traditional colors, and I started off by stamping the wreath using blue ink. I used blue shades to stamp the poinsettias, and a light grey ink to stamp the bow. And I added embossed details in silver on those elements to bring some shine.

Next I created the window. I cut a white Comic strip speech bubble panel, a second one out of scrap paper, and an acetate panel. I temporarily taped the second frame to the acetate panel, and used white ink along with a sponge dauber to create a frosty look on the acetate. And I also added splatters of that same white ink all over the acetate.

Next I worked on the shaker panel. I first attached the white frame to the acetate using double sided tape. At the back of the panel, I added foam strips on the four edges and on the slim strips as well. I made the inside foam edges non sticky using my powder tool, added White Snowflake Confetti and iridescent confetti inside each small window, and closed the shaker panel using a pattern paper from the Very Merry paper pack.

I heat embossed my "Happy Holidays" greeting from Holiday Greetings in silver on black cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die and attached it below the wreath using foam squares. And finally I added a few clear droplets here and there to bring more shine to the card.

Sunny Studio - Snowman Kisses Rainbow Shaker Card

jeudi 1 décembre 2022

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with this super bright winter shaker card showcasing the super cute Snowman kisses stamp set. I love those little dudes, when I saw them I immediately pictured them with rainbow colors, it suits them so beautifully! And I really wanted them to be the stars of the show so I didn't use a whole lot of additional supplies, just the banner from Balloon rides, and the tree from Holiday Express.

I started by coloring the four snowmen from the set using my alcohol markers with light aqua shades on their bodies to create a frozen look, and rainbow colors on their outfits.

Next I created the shaker panel. I first cut a frame out of a Rainbow bright pattern paper using the main die from the Comic strip everyday die set. I attached a piece of acetate at the back of that frame, and still at the back of the frame, I added foam strips on the four edges and slim parts. I poured shaker accessories inside each window: some Snowflake confetti, and a bunch of iridescent confetti. And to close my shaker panel, I first attached a vellum panel, and then another Rainbow bright panel.

I cut another Comic strip everyday panel out of white cardstock, but kept the inside pieces only to create small snow borders, I stamped my "Warm wishes & snowman kisses" greeting from Snowman kisses on one of those snow borders, and then attached them at the bottom of each window on the shaker panel. Next I stuck the images on the shaker panel using foam squares, and finished my card by adding white highlights and details to the images.

Sunny Studio - Dashing Dachshund Black Friday Free Gift w/ Purchase

jeudi 24 novembre 2022

Hey there,

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so happy to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with this pop-up card showcasing the ever so cute and fun Dashing Dachshund mini stamp set, which is the Black Friday free gift with purchase this year. Make sure to check Sunny Studio's blog daily during Black Friday week for more Dashing dachshund inspiration by the design team!

So, my card features three lovely pups running in the snowy grass. I didn't use a whole bunch of extra images to make my card, just the tree from Holiday Express to set a lovely scene.

I started off by building the pop-up card. I cut the back panel, the front + side pieces and the grass borders out of white cardstock, the decorative pieces out of three different papers from the Joyful Holiday paper pack, and white heat embossed my "Dachshund through the snow" greeting from Dashing Dachshund on the long decorative strip that goes on the front.

I stamped the images on white paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink: three dachshunds, three sweaters, as well as three hats + many trees, and I stamped each sweater a second time on pattern papers from the Joyful Holiday paper pack. I colored the images using my alcohol markers, and for the sweaters I used light grey shades to bring a little bit of shadows to those images.

Once the coloring was done, I fussy cut each sweater, stuck them on the non-colored sweaters, and then attached them on the dachshunds.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I attached the images inside the box. And to do a nice and clean job, with no oozing glue on the grass borders, I first attached each image to an acetate strip, and then stuck the acetate strips inside the box at the back of the grass borders. Feel welcome to check the video to visualize the process more easily ^^

Lawn Fawn - Hot Foil Vellum Overlay

 Hey there,

I'm back today on Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this cute and simple little scene that I made more interesting by adding a silver foiled vellum overlay panel on the front to hide the lower part of the scene and this way surprise the recipient of the card.

I stamped the images first using Jet black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers.

I cut a 5,5" x 4,25" bristol panel, and divided it in several parts to create a landscape. On the upper part I did the sky using salvaged patina, peacock feathers and blueprint sketch oxide inks. On the lower part, I did the road using hickory smoke oxide ink, and the snowy sides using salvaged patina oxide ink.

I cut a vellum panel longer than the Snowflake background hot foil plate, I silver foiled it, and then trimmed the sides and bottom. I scored the top part, leaving 1/4" above that score line, and then folded the score line, and before attaching this vellum panel to the landscape panel, I stuck the images on that background panel using foam squares, liquid glue and glue dots.

Next I assembled the card. I added double sided tape on the inside top section of the vellum overlay. I also cut two Simple stitched hillsides: one with my greeting and two bows that goes at the bottom of the vellum overlay, and an identical one that goes at the back. I attached the vellum overlay to the landscape panel, and finally to a white card base.
