Altenew - Ice cream card

mardi 28 juin 2016

Hello there!

Summer is finally here and what is better than ice cream to fight the heat?

I heat embossed three times the ice cream cone image from the Way Too Sweet stamp set on watercolor paper and painted them using distress inks.

Then I created an awning using papers by Toga and border dies by Lawn Fawn. Finally added a cute sentiment, and some sequins.

Simon Says Stamp - Vellum flowers

Hello there!

I've been thinking about vellum + distress inks for a few days when I realised that this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp would be perfect to give it a try.

I heat embossed the flowers and leaves with translucent powder, applied some distress ink and fussy cut the images.

Simon Says Stamp - Watercolor flowers

mardi 21 juin 2016

Hello there!

Love this Simon Says Stamp stamp set so much that I couldn't help myself making three cards using the same products.

For the first two, I white heat embossed the images on watercolor paper and colored them using some distress inks.

For the third one, I also white heat embossed the images. Then I just loaded the paper with water, and applied my favorite distress inks here and there to create a nice watercolor background.

I used black chevron paper (well we can't really see that it's a chevron pattern) on each card to add some contrast. Gold heat embossed the sentiments on black paper, and finally add some sequins because we never have enough sequins!

I'm really into Simon Says Stamp stamp sets and watercolors these days. Created this simple card using the gorgeous Sketch Ranunculus set to make a pretty little pink bouquet.
