Sunny Studio - Wedded Bliss Mini Slimline Shaker Card

jeudi 28 avril 2022

Hey there,

Sunny Studio Summer release is finally available at sunnystudiostamps.com and I'm super happy to be back with a shaker card showcasing the adorable Wedded bliss mini stamp set. This wedded penguin couple is just so cute!

As always I started off with the coloring. I stamped the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Besides the Wedded bliss penguin couple, I stamped one of the Balloon rides banners three times, as well as a bunch of hearts from Fabulous flamingos. And to create my cute penguin cherub, I picked a penguin from Passionate penguins, and stamped a bird from Little birdie two times to use his wings only.

Next I created the shaker background. I cut a 6 x 3" panel out of a Flirty flowers pattern paper, and I cut a Stitched arch out of that panel. I white heat embossed my sentiment "Wishing you wedded bliss" from Wedded bliss at the top of my mini slimline panel, and then I attached the inside arch window remaining piece on a 6 x 3" card base using the open arch window panel as a guide.

I flipped the panel over and added liquid glue all along the arch window, I attached a piece of clear acetate at the back of my panel, and then, to create room for the shaker accessories, I added two layers of foam strips all along the arch window.

I made the foam strips edges non sticky using a powder tool, cleaned the acetate with a microfiber cloth, I also added more foam strips above the window and next I added a mix of jewels inside the window, and finally I placed my card base on the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel. And next I attached the images using 3mm glue dots.

And that's it, we have a super cute mini shaker card with a happy and elegant penguin couple and a cheeky penguin cherub throwing hearts at them. Don't hesitate to watch the process video for information. Thanks for stopping by and see you next week!

Sunny Studio - Mother's Day & Father's Day Mini Cards

jeudi 14 avril 2022

 Hello there,

I'm back on Sunny Studio blog today with two super cute mini slimline cards featuring a bunny mom with her bunny kids and a panda dad with his panda kids.

I started by stamping the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I stamped the bunny from Critters on the go, as well as the bear on the scooter two times. I turned one of the bears into a panda, and used the bunny head to turn the other bear into a bunny. I also stamped the bunny heads and bear heads from Balloon rides, the cart from Harvest mice and some tiny bows from Spring showers.

I colored all the images using my alcohol markers. And to make the pandas, I first divided the bear bodies and heads into several parts using a pencil, next I used a black memento pen to trace over those lines, and I colored the legs, arms, ears and eyes in black, leaving the remaining parts white.

After the coloring, I created two identical mini slimline backgrounds. I cut two 6 x 3 inches bristol panels and created a cloudy sky on each panel using a cloud stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks.

Next I cut a 6 x 3 inches panel out of a green pattern paper from the Spring Fling paper pack, and used the grass border die from Picket fence to cut two grass borders out of this green pattern paper. And I attached a grass border on each panel using foam squares.

I cut some letters using the Chloe alphabet die set to make the words "Mom" and "Dad", I also stamped the second part of my sentiment on each panel, "Thanks for always being there" from Words of gratitude, and then I attached the images using a combination of glue dots and foam squares to stick the biggest images and liquid glue for the smallest ones such as the tiny bows.

Lawn Fawn - Sheep & Balls of Yarn Platform Pop-Up Card

Hey there,

I'm so happy to be back on Lawn Fawn YouTube channel with this new platform pop-up card featuring a cute little sheep inside a basket full of balls of yarn.

I started by creating the basket using a pattern paper from the Sweater weather 6x6 paper pack. And I also added Stitched scalloped borders all around the basket to give the illusion of a lacy doily. Please check the process video down below to watch the whole process ^^

Next I created colorful balls of yarn using pattern papers from the Flower market 6x6 paper pack. I also cut some colorful strings using Really high five coordinating dies, and cut more balls of yarn using a die from the Tiny gift box cat add-on. And I stuck all those pieces inside the platform pop-up basket using 3mm glue dots.

I used the Tiny gift box goat and llama add-on to create the sheep, and I wanted him to have a collar with a heart so I used a die from the Scalloped box card pop-up die set to cut a strip, and to make him very fluffy I used a die from Lift the flap meadow. And I also cut the heart for his collar using a die from the Stitched Cupcake die set. I assembled all the pieces, and then glued the sheep inside the basket.

And finally I created my sentiment. I cut some Henry's ABCs letters to make the word "Wool" out of a Knit picky pattern paper to stay in the fabric theme, and I used several stamp sets to make the second part of my sentiment: the word "Always" from Thanks a bushel, "Be" from Peacock before 'n afters, "my" from Holiday Helpers and "Friend" from the How you bean Christmas cookies add-on. I white heat embossed those words on a Black licorice Everyday sentiment banner that I stuck below the word "Wool" to read "Wool always be my friend".

Sunny Studio - Out On A Limb Magical Fairy Scene

jeudi 7 avril 2022

Hey there,

I'm back today on Sunny Studio blog with a magical slimline card featuring an enchanted tree I created using Out on a limb. I also brought more magic to my card by adding three cute fairies from Garden Fairy, and I started off by stamping those images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink and coloring them using my alcohol markers. I cut them all, and moved on to the background.

I cut an 8,5 x 3,5" bristol panel, taped a hill stencil at the bottom and created a night sky using blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire and black soot oxide inks. I applied the colors from the lightest at the bottom to the darkest towards the top of the panel, and as always I went back and forth with my blending tools to get a nice blending. Next I added a whole lot of texture and details to make this night sky all shiny with many stars. And to finish it, I added tumbled glass oxide ink on the bottom part.

Next I created the enchanted tree. I cut all the pieces out of different colored cardstock, and added shadows to each element using distress inks.

To sum up, the tree trunk + leaves are from Out On A Limb, I used clouds coordinating dies from Balloons Rides to make the foliage, butterflies coordinating dies from Bunnyville, and created flowers using dies from Pristine Poinsettia + Botanical BackdropOnce all the pieces were done, I assembled the tree on my night sky panel using liquid glue and foam squares.

I like to create custom sentiments, so I did it again on today's card. I created the word "Fairy" using the Chloe Alphabet die set, and picked some words from different sets to built my phrase: we have "Sending You" + "Wishes" from Happy Harvest, "Kisses" + "&" from Harvest Mice, and "Magical" from Garden Fairy. I stamped the words and attached the letters at the bottom of my card to read "Sending you fairy kisses & magical wishes", and then I stuck the fairies and wands.

At the end I stamped a few grass sprigs from Harvest Mice on the bottom part using blueprint sketch oxide ink, I added white details and highlights on the images and die cuts, and finally added some clear glitter on the fairies wings.
