Sunny Studio - Sealiously Sweet Interactive Card

vendredi 30 juin 2023

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with this new summer card featuring three cuties from Sealiously Sweet. I wanted the one on the rubber ring to float and move on the water, so I followed the same process as the Penguin Party card I made back in November to create today's card.

I started off by cutting my panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and I stenciled it using oxide inks: squeezed lemonade + dried marigold + kitsch flamingo for the sky, antique linen + vintage photo for the sand, and salvaged patina + peacock feathers + blueprint sketch for the ocean. And once the panel was dry, I white heat embossed my "Have an awesome summer" greeting from Sealiously Sweet at the bottom.

I built the whole mechanism, attached my interactive panel on a slightly bigger pink panel, and then the pink panel on a slightly bigger Dots & Stripes pastels yellow pattern paper, and then I moved on to the coloring. I picked three lovely seals and some water splatters from Sealiously Sweet, the coconuts and palm tree from Seasonal Trees and the one from Sending Sunshine, the flowers from Chickie Baby, the tiny shovel from Beach Babies, the sun from Balloon Rides, and the fish from Penguin Pals.

I stamped all those images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers and Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. Once all my images were done, I attached them all on my panel using 1mm foam squares, and finally added highlights and details using a white gel pen.

Lawn Fawn - Make a Wish Hot Foil Birthday Cards

jeudi 29 juin 2023

Hello there,

I'm back on Lawn Fawn YouTube channel & blog with this duo of birthday cards showcasing several new products from Summer release. Birthday cards are the ones I need the most throughout the year to send to family and friends, but I always find myself not having enough. So I created those two cards that share the same design, they're pretty quick to make, only the colors are changing, and there are only a very few images to color, which is quite unusual for me, right?

I started off by stamping my images from Simply Celebrate More Critters on Transotype perfect coloring paper using jet black ink, I colored the cute critters using my Graph’it brush markers + Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers, and then cut them using the coordinating dies.

Next I moved on to the backgrounds. I gold hot foiled two Strathmore bristol smooth panels using the Confetti Background Hot Foil Plate, and colored them using oxide inks. I used squeezed lemonade + dried marigold + kitsch flamingo + picked raspberry on the first panel, and then squeezed lemonade + twisted citron + pine needle + chipped sapphire on the second panel.

Next I die cut two Let’s celebrate backdrops out of white cardstock, as well as a bunch of colorful decorative pieces that I attached on each backdrop using liquid glue. Once each backdrop was decorated, I attached them on the hot foil panels using 1mm foam squares, and then die cut two woodgrain frames that I stuck on each panel as well.

I die cut four Giant Make a Wish greetings: a light blue one, a light yellow one, and two white ones. I attached the white ones at the back of the colored ones to create an outline, I added gold glitter stars and attached those giant greetings in the upper part of my panels using 2mm foam squares. I also white heat embossed two "It's your birthday" sentiments from Offset Sayings Everyday on chocolate bar banners, attached those banners at the bottom of my panels, and then stuck my critters above those banners using foam squares again. And as always I finished both card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Pretty Pink Posh - Fresh Berries Scallop Box Card

lundi 26 juin 2023

Hi there,

I'm glad to be back to share with you the last card I made using products from the Pretty Pink Posh June release, but not necessarily my very last PPP card... ;-) Today's card features the new Fresh Berries stamp set, and I created a cute basket using the Scallop Box Card die set to put all my yummy fruits in.

As very often I started off by stamping all my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers. I colored a bunch of images from Fresh Berries, and also picked leaves from Jungle Friends.

Next I pulled out the Scalloped Box Card die set. I cut all the card base elements out of kraft cardstock, and all the decorative pieces out of a pink floral pattern paper. I built the card base and attached the different decorative elements using 1mm foam squares, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then I attached them all inside the card using 3mm glue dots.

I created my greeting in two parts. I first white heat embossed the words "Love you" from Fresh Berries on black cardstock and trimmed it into a slim banner. Next I white heat embossed the words "Berry much" from Fresh Berries again on red cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die, and then I attached both greeting elements on the front of the box card using 1mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Critter Campout 3D Card

vendredi 23 juin 2023

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back on Sunny Studio's blog today with this new 3D card showcasing the little guys from Critter Campout. It was my first time coloring them, and I had a lot of fun creating this camping in the woods scenery for them.

I started off with the coloring. I stamped all my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers and Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. And in addition to the little campers from Critter Campout, I picked the pine trees from Seasonal Trees, the tree trunk from Happy Harvest, and the grass sprigs from Bunnyville.

Once everything was colored, I cut all the 3D elements using the Slim Scenescape Builder + Slim Scenescape Rainbow Add-On die sets by Mama Elephant, and built the card base. I wanted to have a night sky in the back, so I used blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire and black soot oxide inks to make a dark background. I also cut three grass borders using the grass die from Picket Fence, and colored those borders using mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks.

I attached five trees on the back panel using 1mm foam squares, and then the remaining images on the grass borders using 3mm glue dots. To decorate both sides of the card I used a plaid pattern paper from the Critter Country paper pack, and finally I white heat embossed my "Life with you is an adventure" greeting from Critter Campout on the front.

Sunny Studio - Special Day Wedding Shaker Card

jeudi 15 juin 2023

Hey there,

I'm thrilled to be back on Sunny Studio's blog today with this adorable wedding shaker card showcasing one of the gorgeous cakes from Special Day, as well as some cute wedded bunnies and guests from Bunnyville.

As very often I started off by stamping my images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it Brush markers. And in addition to the images from Special Day and Bunnyville, I picked the banner from Balloon Rides, the bow from Passionate Penguins and the grass from Garden Critters.

Once the images were colored, I moved on to the background, and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored using stencils and oxide inks. On the upper part I created the sky using a cloudy stencil along with salvaged patina + peacock feathers oxide inks. And on the lower part I created grass borders using grass stencils along with shabby shutters + mowed lawn oxide inks.

Next I cut a Stitched Arch window out of my panel, folded an A2 size white card base, and attached the middle part of my panel on that card base using the rest of the panel as a guide. At the back of the rest of my panel I stuck a piece of acetate to create the window, and then added foam tape all around the arch to create dimension and room for my shaker accessories. I rubbed my powder tool all along the foam strips to make them non sticky, poured some polymer clay heart confetti and iridescent confetti on the card base, and finally attached my window panel on the card base to close the shaker.

Before sticking the images on the card, I created the greeting. I cut a dark kraft banner as wide as the arch window, white heat embossed my "Wishing you a big slice of happiness" sentiment from Special Day on top of it, and attached this banner below the arch window to create some sort of a globe. Next I attached all my cute images, and finished the card by adding highlights and details using a white gel pen.

Pretty Pink Posh June Instagram Hop

mardi 13 juin 2023

Hi there,

Summer is right around the corner and Pretty Pink Posh has a brand new collection of products inspired by the scrumptious fresh fruits that are in season. And I'm back today with this adorable card showcasing the Watermelon stamp set + coordinating dies, as well as the Layered Watermelon stencils. I also added flowers from the Citrus stamp set, and a cute kitty from an older set, Cuddly Cats.

Please check my post on Instagram to get all the details about this hop.

So I started off by stamping the images from Watermelon + Citrus + Cuddly Cats on Transotype perfect coloring paper, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and stenciled it using the Layered Watermelon stencils + distress oxide inks: worn lipstick, festive berries, shabby shutters, mowed lawn and black soot.

I cut a 5,25 x 4 inches vellum panel, and stamped the words "Hi sweet friend" and "You're one in a" from Watermelon using black stazon ink. I also white heat embossed the word "Melon" on dark coral cardstock, cut it using the coordinating die, and then attached it on the bottom right hand corner using 1mm foam squares.

I stuck the images on the vellum panel using 1mm foam squares again, and then to attach the vellum panel to the stenciled panel and make the glue invisible, I added liquid glue at the back of the images only. And as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Pretty Pink Posh June Release Blog Hop

vendredi 9 juin 2023

Hello there,

Pretty Pink Posh has released a super cute and cheery new collection on June 7th, and I'm thrilled to be part of a blog hop that celebrates it! This release is so perfect for the summer season, to make colorful and bright cards. So refreshing!

Please visit each crafter along the hop, and comment on their blog post for a chance to win a prize!

Three (3) $30 gift certificates are up for grabs (one winner each day) Winner will be picked randomly along the blog hop.
Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 6/14/2023. Winner will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

I will share several projects throughout the next weeks, and I'm starting today with a set of four citrus thank you cards featuring some of the brand new products:

Each card was made using the same process: a stenciled background + colorful images + a big sentiment. So I started off by stamping the images from the Citrus stamp set several times to get enough for my four cards. I cut them using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers.

And to make my cards even more cute, I stamped and colored four kitties from Cuddly Cats.

Next I cut four 4,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panels, and created backgrounds that coordinate with my images using the Layered Citrus stencils and distress oxide inks.

To match the oranges, I used dried marigold + spiced marmalade oxide inks. To match the limes, I used shabby shutters + mowed lawn oxide inks. To match the lemons, I used squeezed lemonade + mustard seed. And to match the grapefruits, I used ripe persimmon + fossilized amber oxide inks.

Next I cut four 4 x 3-6/8 inches vellum panels. At the very top of each panel I stamped "Thank you" from Fresh Berries, and at the very bottom "Wish I could give you a squeeze" from Citrus. I used black Stazon ink to stamp those greetings because this ink dries quickly and it doesn't smear.

To complete my "Thank you" greetings, I used the Friend Script die. I cut the word "Friend" four times out of white cardstock, and cut the outline pieces out of colored cardstock to match the images. I stuck each white "Friend" on an outline piece, and then attached each element on the vellum panels using 1mm foam squares. And next I attached my images using 1mm foam squares.

To attach the vellum panels on the stenciled panels and make the glue invisible, I added liquid glue at the back of the vellum panels, but just behind the images and greetings. And then I stuck each panel on 4,5 x 4,25 inches matching card bases. And as always I finished my cards by adding highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

I hope you like this lovely Citrus set of cards. I will be back very soon with more cards featuring products from the Pretty Pink Posh June release. See you next time!

Sunny Studio - Berry Bliss Infinity Shaker Card

jeudi 8 juin 2023

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with this infinity shaker card showcasing some delicious strawberries from Berry Bliss.

I first started with the strawberries, and I used premium dye inks by Lawn Fawn to stamp them. I stamped the first layer using Ballet Slippers ink, the second one using Peachy Keen ink, and the third one using Guava ink. Next I added greenery on top of each strawberry and stamped some extra leaves using Crisp Autumn. I used Celery Stick ink to stamp the first layer, and Freshly Cut Grass ink to stamp the second one, and for the leaves I used Jalapeno ink to stamp the third layer. I cut all the images using the coordinating dies, and then moved on to the shaker panel that I created using the same process as my Autumn Tree card.

I first cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Spring Sunburst panel, and also cut a plastic storage sleeve to get one single sheet of plastic. Added thin double sided tape all along the four edges of my plastic sheet, placed my panel in the middle and cut the four corners off the plastic sheet, creating tabs on each side of my panel. I folded and attached three of those four tabs, added a mix of polymer clay confetti and iridescent confetti inside the plastic pocket, and then folded and attached the remaining tab to close my infinity shaker panel.

I attached the strawberries at the bottom of the shaker panel using 1mm foam squares, and next I created my "Hi sweetie" greeting using the Hayley Lowercase Alphabet. I cut each letter twice: out of gold glitter cardstock and out white cardstock. I glued the gold glitter letters on top of the white ones, and finally I stuck everything on my panel right above the strawberries.

Sunny Studio - Thank You Teacher Notebook Card

jeudi 1 juin 2023

Hi there,

I'm thrilled to be back on Sunny Studio's blog with those three mini cards showcasing the Notebook Photo Corners + Notebook Tabs die sets. Love those notebook designs, and with the end of the school year coming soon (in France it's early July) I think those sets are just perfect to make "Thank You" cards for our amazing teachers. And what a better set than Super Duper to celebrate them?

I started off by cutting the different pieces in three:
- three Notebook Photo Corners pages out of Subtle Grey Tones pattern papers
- three Notebook Tabs out of colored cardstock
- three simple black panels
- three colored panels out of Heroic Halftones pattern papers
- three Thank You Words out of silver mirror cardstock + three others out of black cardstock

I attached a black panel on each colored panel using double sided tape, and then stuck a notebook page in a crooked way using double sided foam tape. I layered the silver mirror "Thanks" on the black ones, stuck those words in the upper part of each panel, and stamped "Teacher" from Super Duper below each word.

Next I stamped three cute characters, stars and "Wow" signs from Super Duper, as well as three books from Grad Cat on white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut the images using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'It Brush markers with blue, red and yellow to match the Heroic Halftones pattern papers.

Once the coloring was done, I attached the images on the cards using 1mm foam squares. Next I stamped a "You're my hero" greeting from Super Duper on each tab, and stuck a tab on each card. And as always I finished my cards by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.
