Pretty Pink Posh - Hummingbird Floral Shadow Box

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this lovely Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box showcasing the absolutely gorgeous hummingbirds and flowers from Hummingbird Floral. What a stunning set, I love it so much! I've made this card last year, when the hummingbird themed items were released, but somehow I had totally forgotten about it. So it's about time to finally share it with you guys!

It was my first time using the Shadow Box, so I started off right away with it, and cut two main panels out of light brown woodgrain cardstock. I added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink to the edges of each panel, mixed some of that ink with water and added brown splatters all over the panels with a slim brush, and then did the same with white ink.

While both of my Shadow Box panels were drying, I created the background of my box, cut a 4 x 3 inches kraft panel, added some texture to this panel using the Scallops Pierced plate, and then created a floral pattern using the Layered Blooming Vines stencil set along with saltwater taffy, fossilized amber and spiced marmalade oxide inks for the flowers, mowed lawn oxide ink for the greenery, and broken china oxide ink for the small polka dots.

I also cut two grass borders out of green cardstock using other dies from the Shadow Box die set, added a little bit of mowed lawn distress ink to the pointy edges to darken the borders, mixed that same ink with water and added green splatters to each grass border, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the floral panel to the background on the inside using liquid glue, and stuck my grass borders as well. And I wanted to add a decorative frame to the front of my box, so, still using dies from the Shadow Box die set, I cut a scalloped rectangle out of a yellow pattern paper, cut a large opening out of this yellow panel, and then attached my scalloped frame to the box using liquid glue.

I stamped all the images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I used the coordinating dies to cut them, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. Here is a small detailed list of the stamp sets I used : • Hummingbird Floral - hummingbird, large orange flowers, floral clusters, small pink flowers, greenery • Simple Thanks - large greenery, small yellow flowers

Once everything was colored, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Next I attached the images inside the Shadow Box, directly to the grass inserts using foam squares, as well as on the outside of the box, most of them on the front, but I also added a small floral cluster on each side of the box for more cuteness. Finally, I white heat embossed "You're an amazing friend" from Friend Greetings on brown cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and attached it inside the box, directly to the background, using 1mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Penguin Friends Shadow Box

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this lovely Shadow Box featuring the super cute Penguin Friends from the Pretty Pink Posh November 2025 release, as well as dies and stencils from that same release. Love those adorable penguins, and it was fun to make them all match with blue accessories.

I started off by stamping my Penguin Friends on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

For the background of my Shadow Box, I die cut three Winter Trees out of dark grey, light grey and white cardstock, as well as silver glitter cardstock. I added copic opaque white ink splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the cardstock elements, and once dry, attached a cardstock tree to a silver glitter tree using liquid glue, shifting the trees a little bit to get glittery borders under the branches.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of white woodgrain cardstock. I kept one of those panels, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set, and then created a super cute penguin pattern on both of them using the Layered Penguins stencils along with black soot, pumice stone, hickory smoke, rusty hinge, tumbled glass and broken china oxide inks. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on both panels, I did the same with liquid stardust and then the same again with uncharted mariner oxide ink to remind the blue accessories on the Penguin Friends.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, covered it with tumbled glass oxide ink, blended a little bit of broken china oxide on the edges, and then added snowflakes all over the panel using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil along with broken china oxide ink. And next I added the same textures as the ones I added to the Shadow Box panels.

I cut three basic insert pieces out of white cardstock using a Shadow Box die, used the wavy border die from the set to turn my three basic inserts into snowy inserts, and added liquid stardust splatters to each insert.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of navy blue cardstock, again to match with the blue accessories on the Penguin Friends. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the wavy inserts and the snowflake panel using liquid glue, stuck the navy blue frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images and trees on the inside and front of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Snow" from Let It Snow on black cardstock, cut it using the matching die and attached at the top of my box using an acetate strip. I also white heat embossed "Glad we're friends" on black cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greeting 1 die, and finally attached that banner at the bottom of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Gingerbread Friends Shadow Box

I'm happy to be back with this adorable Shadow Box featuring the super cute Gingerbread Friends from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release. And I added a mix & match of new and old images to complete my little holiday scene.

I started off by stamping the images on light kraft cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Gingerbread Friends - gingerbread characters, presents, candy canes, lollipops • Christmas Train - wreath, presents, Christmas tree • Spring Birdhouses - gingerbread house.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of the same light kraft cardstock as the images. I kept one of those panels, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added vintage photo distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a cute gingerbread pattern on both of them using the Layered Gingerbread stencils along with vintage photo, ground espresso and candied apple oxide inks, as well as white pigment ink. I mixed vintage photo distress ink with water and added brown splatters on both panels using a slim brush, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of light kraft cardstock, added vintage photo distress ink to the edges, and then added candy canes all over the panel using the Layered Candy Canes stencils along with white pigment ink first and then candied apple oxide ink. I mixed vintage photo distress ink with water and added brown splatters on the panel using a slim brush, and did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut three basic insert pieces out of light pink cardstock using a Shadow Box die, and used the wavy border die from the set to turn my three basic inserts into wavy inserts. I applied worn lipstick distress ink along the wavy edges of each insert, mixed that same ink with water and added pink splatters to each wavy border, next I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and then with liquid stardust.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the wavy inserts and the candy cane panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside and front of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. 

I white heat embossed "Sending joy & cheer" from Christmas Banner Greetings on dark brown cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greeting 1 die, and finally attached that banner at the bottom of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Dino Shadow Box

I'm happy to be back with the last Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box I created as part of a series of five I've been sharing over the last few weeks. What a fun challenge it was to make those five different little scenes! You can check the four other cards right there:

So, this last Shadow Box features two sweet dinosaurs in their tropical habitat. It was not intended, but as I'm writing this blog post, I'm realising that those dinosaurs remind me of Littlefoot and Cera from The Land Before Time, one of my favorite childhood animated movies.

I started off by stamping all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the matching dies to cut them all, and my Ohuhu markers to color everything. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamps sets I used: • Dinosaur Friends - apatosaurus, palm trees, leaves, grass • Dinosaur Additions - triceratops, volcano • Simple Thanks - large greenery • Jungle Friends - flowers.

Once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, attached the lava splatters above the volcano using a small piece of acetate, and then started working on my Shadow Box.

I cut two Shadow Box panels out of aqua cardstock, kept one of them, and used the rectangle die from the set to cut an opening out of my panel. I added a little bit of peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a leafy pattern on both of them using one of the Layered Leaves & Flowers stencils along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, started by covering it with shabby shutters distress ink, and then added a tree pattern using the Layered Birch Trees stencils along with mowed lawn distress ink. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed a bit of rustic wilderness distress ink with water, and added green splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters.

To ground my little scene, I cut three basic insert pieces out of green cardstock using a Shadow Box die. I used the grass border die from that set to turn two of my basic inserts into grass inserts, and the cloud border die to turn the third one into bushes. I added a little bit of rustic wilderness distress to the top of each insert, mixed that same ink with water and added green splatters on each piece, and then white splatters as well.

Before assembling my box, I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the inserts and the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Hello friend" from Friend Greetings on the same aqua cardstock as the box, cut it with the matching die, added a little bit of peacock feathers distress ink to the edges, as well as matching splatters, and I finally attached my sentiment inside the box, right above the volcano, using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Out Of This World Shadow Box

I'm happy to be back with another Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box card showcasing an Outer Space scene I had so much fun to put together. This card is part of the series of five cards I've been sharing for a couple of weeks, and you can check the other Shadow Box cards right here: Citrus Shadow Box - Beach Fun Shadow Box - Seashells Shadow Box. I started off by stamping the Outer Space images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of aqua cardstock. I kept one of them, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a galaxy pattern on both of them using the Layered Shooting Stars stencils along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock that I colored using, from bottom to top, prize ribbon, chipped sapphire and black soot oxide inks. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters, and then I added shiny stars to my panel using the Cascading Stars stencil along with clear glitter stencil paste.

To ground my scene, I cut three basic insert pieces out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Shadow Box die. I used the wavy die from the set to turn one of the inserts into the Moon floor, and used the scalloped die to turn the two remaining inserts into clouds. I worked on the Moon border first and covered it with hickory smoke oxide ink with a little bit of black soot at the bottom to darken it. I splattered water on the border and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters to the border, and then did the same with white ink.

Next I worked on the cloud borders, and colored them both the same way. I first covered them with peacock feathers oxide ink, and then added a little bit of blueprint sketch oxide ink to the scalloped edges. I splattered water on both pieces and dried them with my paper towel, mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water, added dark blue splatters to each cloud border, and then did the same with white ink.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the Moon insert and cloud inserts, as well as the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For a couple of stars, I used slim strips of acetate to give the illusion that they were up there in the galaxy. I white heat embossed "You are out of this world" from Outer Space on aqua cardstock, cut it with a Sentiment Strips die, and finally attached it on the front of the box using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Seashells Shadow Box

Hey there,

I'm thrilled to be back with another Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box card showcasing beautiful seashells, corals, and cute fish. Those boxes are so quick and easy to put together, it is super fun to make them!

As very often, I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Seashells - seashells, large starfish, large coral • Seashell Wreath - small starfish, small coral, small seashells • Baby Animals + Birthday Dogs & Cats - fish.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of aqua cardstock. I kept one of them, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a coral pattern on both of them using the Layered Coral stencils along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I started by covering it with peacock feathers oxide ink, and then I added a wavy pattern using the Wave Edges stencils along with blueprint sketch oxide ink. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water, and added dark blue splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters.

To ground all my Seashells and underwater themed items, I cut three basic insert pieces out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Shadow Box die, and used the wavy border die from the set to turn my three basic inserts into sand inserts. I first covered them with antique linen oxide ink, added a little bit of vintage photo at the bottom, and then blended the colors. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and added brown splatters to each sand border, and then added white splatters as well.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the sand inserts and the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For some of the fish, I used slim strips of acetate to give the illusion that they were swimming among the seashells and corals. I white heat embossed "You are spe-shell" from Seashells on yellow cardstock to match with the starfish, cut it with the matching die, and finally attached it inside the box using 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Beach Fun Shadow Box

Hello there,

I'm back with this new Pretty Pink Posh Shadow Box card featuring a family of cute hedgehogs having a great time at the beach: building a sandcastle, bouncing in the waves or enjoying cool popsicles, they plan to do all the fun activities!

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Beach Fun - parasol, large ball, flip flops, sunglasses, seashells, starfish, large bucket, surfing board, shovel • Summer Icons - popsicle, small ball • Summer Fun - small bucket (with sand inside), swimming hedgehogs • Hedgehog Friends - hedgehog.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of aqua cardstock. I kept one of them, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a fun pattern on both of them using the Summer Words stencil along with the same distress ink. I mixed that ink with water, used a slim brush to add splatters to my panels, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I started by covering it with mustard seed oxide ink, and then I added a sunray pattern using the Line Bursts stencil along with spiced marmalade oxide ink, placing the stencil in a way that the circle shape is in the top left corner of my panel. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some fossilized amber oxide ink with water, and added yellow splatters to my panel using my slim brush, as well as white splatters.

To ground my cute little scene, I cut three basic insert pieces out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Shadow Box die. I turned two of them into sand inserts using the wavy die from the set, and turned the third one into a wave insert using the cloud die upside down. For the sand inserts, I first covered them with antique linen oxide ink, added a little bit of vintage photo at the bottom, and then blended the colors. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and added brown splatters to each sand border, and then added white splatters as well. For the wave insert, I first covered it with peacock feathers oxide ink, added some blueprint sketch oxide ink at the bottom, and blended the colors. I splattered water on the insert and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some chipped sapphire oxide ink with water and added dark blue splatters to my wave insert, and then I did the same with white ink.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the sand inserts, the wave insert and the back panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside, outside and sides of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Life is better at the beach" from Beach Fun on dark blue cardstock, cut it into a banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and finally attached that banner at the very top of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.
