Hello there,
All the products from the Pretty Pink Posh May 2025 Release are now available, and I'm super happy to be back with this cute and colorful card showcasing some of the brand new items: the Stitched Hummingbirds die set, the Floral Wreath Builder die set and the Layered Blooming Vines stencil set. Those hummingbirds are absolutely gorgeous, right?
I started off by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25 inches textured panel out of kraft cardstock using the Pierced Leafy Vines plate. And I created a beautiful floral background using the Layered Blooming Vines stencil set along with oxide inks: first rustic wilderness for the greenery, next fossilized amber, saltwater taffy and spiced marmalade for the flowers, and then broken china for the small dots. I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel, mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters all over the piece of paper, and once my panel was totally dry, I attached it to a white card base using liquid glue and set it aside for later.
I cut all the pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers, and as always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Stitched Hummingbirds - hummingbirds • Floral Wreath Builder - wreath, leaves, flowers • Valentine Cake Pops - heart cheeks.
To the cardstock pieces only, I added a little bit of matching distress ink to the edges, and then mixed some of the same matching ink with water to add splatters to each element. And then I splattered white ink all over the bits and pieces (cardstock + pattern paper) using my slim brush.
I assembled the wreath first and cut two sections out of it to create corners that I attached to my card using 1mm foam squares. Next I built the flowers and stuck them to those wreath corners using foam squares again, and then I assembled the birds and stuck them to the card, leaving enough space in the middle for my sentiment. I white heat embossed "You're my favorite" from Friend Greetings on brown cardstock, cut it using the matching die, added a little bit of matching distress ink to the edges, and then attached my greeting using 2mm foam squares. To finish my card, I gave each Stitched Hummingbird a Pacific Blue pearl as an eye, and added glossy accents to the beaks to make them shine.
