Sunny Studio - Spooky Shaker Card

vendredi 26 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm back with a spooky shaker card for Sunny Studio featuring the sweetest black kitties having fun celebrating Halloween. Last week was all about goth elegance, well today is about cheekiness and cuteness!

As very often I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, and then colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers and Ohuhu markers, picking dark shades of grey for the kitties, spiders and hats, oranges for the pumpkins and pinks for the spooky balloons.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cat Antics - cats (on the right + upside down) • Party Pets - cats (left + middle + flying), balloons • Too Cute To Spook - pumpkins, spider webs, spiders, jack o' lantern faces • Bewitching - hats.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then moved on to my shaker background. I first cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Preppy Prints purple panel and cut a large Stitched Semi Circle opening out of it. I mixed black soot oxide ink water and added black splatters to my purple panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink and with wilted violet distress spritz for some sparkles. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches acetate panel, attached it at the back of my purple panel using liquid glue and then stamped "Trick or Treat" from Too Cute To Spook on the front, directly on the acetate using black Stazon ink, which is an ink that doesn't smear on acetate or vellum.

At the back of my purple panel, I attached 2mm foam strips all around the Stitched Semi Circle window, following the rounded shape, added strips on the very edges of the panel, and poured a bunch of Black Bat confetti on the acetate. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Classic Sunburst pink panel, added black and white splatters all over it, and when it was dry I attached it to the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel. To finish my card base, I cut a black frame using the main Tropical Trees die, attached it using 1mm foam squares, and finally stuck all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

[IG HOP DAY 3] Pretty Pink Posh - Christmas Bucket Shaker & Snowman

mercredi 24 septembre 2025

Hello there,

Join Pretty Pink Posh for a brand new collection of holiday products. You'll discover an assortment of shakers, additions to popular die sets, and many much-requested gingerbread products. These products are sure to spark your creativity for the holiday season!

Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along for more Christmas inspiration!

As very often, I mixed and matched new items with previously released ones to create my card and, besides the super cute design, this is what I like the most about Pretty Pink Posh: you can pick one thing from a set, another one from another set, and so on, and everything will match perfectly.

I started off with the card base and cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light kraft cardstock. I run my panel through my die cutting machine along with the Pierced Snowflakes plate die to add a nice texture to my panel, and then added even more snowflakes using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil with opaque white grit paste. Next I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my snowflake panel, and then I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. When my panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark kraft panel using foam tape and then to a white card base using liquid glue.

Next I worked on my bucket shaker, and these are the steps I followed to build it:
1. I cut a bucket frame out of red cardstock using Candy Bucket dies, and added white splatters to my bucket frame,
2. I cut a whole bucket out of acetate, and stuck it at the back of my red bucket frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of my bucket, I attached foam strips all along the edges, following the shape of the bucket,
4. I poured a million Candy Cane shaker beads on the acetate,
5. I cut another whole bucket out of a light pink pattern paper, added white splatters to it, and when it was dry, I stuck it to the foam strips to totally close my bucket shaker,
6. I cut another whole bucket out of a poinsettia pattern paper, cut the upper part off, added white splatters to it, and then attached that slim poinsettia strip to my bucket shaker using 1mm foam squares.

Next I worked on the Snowman Shaker, and since I already had a shaker element with the bucket, I decided to go for a simple snowman with no shaker material, and this is how I built it:
1. I cut a Snowman Shaker frame out of white cardstock to make the base,
2. I cut another snowman out of light brown woodgrain cardstock, trimmed the arms off, added a bit of gathered twigs distress ink to both pieces, as well as white splatters and brown splatters, and I attached each arm to my snowman base using liquid glue,
3. I cut another snowman frame out of white cardstock, cut the arms off, added liquid stardust splatters to the snowman, attached it to the same light pink pattern paper I used for the inside of the bucket, and added white splatters to the light pink area,
4. I attached the snowman from #3 to the snowman base using liquid glue to complete my cute snowman.

I cut all the bits and pieces to decorate my little scene out of colored cardstock, white cardstock and pattern paper. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Christmas Bucket Additions - candy canes, peppermint candies, gummies, large carrot nose, large wooden arms, snowflakes, snow bank  Christmas Holder Additions - ear muffs  Snowman Shaker - small carrot nose  Valentine Bucket Additions - large heart cheeks  Fall Mug Additions - scarf  Valentine Cake Pops - small heart cheeks.

To the white pieces I added liquid stardust splatters, to the pattern paper pieces I added white splatters, and to the colored cardstock pieces I applied matching distress inks to the edges, added white splatters, matching distress ink splatters and liquid stardust splatters to some of them such as the gummies, ear muffs and heart cheeks.

Next I attached everything to my Eyelet Rectangle panel, starting with the bucket at the very bottom using 1mm foam squares. I tucked the snow bank at the top of the bucket and then the snowman, and I added all the decorative pieces using a mix of liquid glue and foam squares. I gave both the snowman and bucket a pair of wiggly eyes, as well as a mouth using Onyx Pearls, I picked peppermint clay confetti from the Holiday Gingerbread Mix and attached one in the center of each snowflake and peppermint candy, and I applied a bit of opaque white grit paste at some places to give the whole card a frosty look.

I added my sentiment at the very end. I white heat embossed "Joyful holiday wishes" from Christmas Banner Greetings on light pink cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 1 die, and finally attached my banner to the card using foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Monochromatic Halloween Peonies

vendredi 19 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this monochromatic Halloween card featuring black peonies and spiders. I mostly like to create Halloween cards with cute critters, but when I colored the Pink Peonies from Sunny Studio back in April (you can check the card right here) I knew I would color them again in black to make a monochromatic card.

I started off by stamping my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the coordinating dies and then colored them using my Graph'it brush markers in shades of grey: dark shades for the peonies and spiders, and lighter shades for the leaves. The peonies and leaves are from Pink Peonies, the spiders and spider webs are from Too Cute To Spook, and I usually add details to my images with a white gel pen, but this time I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters to the flowers and leaves, and only added white gel pen details to the spiders.

I cut a 5,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, ran it through my die cutting machine along with my Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die, covered the entire panel with hickory smoke oxide ink, and used the Diagonal Stripes stencil along with black soot oxide ink to add a nice pattern to my panel. Next I mixed black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters to my panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink and then with iron gate mica spray for sparkling details. And once my panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches black panel.

Next I cut a large Scalloped Oval Mat 1 panel out of black cardstock, used the largest Stitched Oval 2 die to cut an opening out of it and this way created a scalloped frame. I used the largest Stitched Oval 2 die again to cut a Subtle Grey Tones woodgrain panel, added black splatters to it, attached both the black frame and grey panel together using tape at the back, and stamped "Happy Halloween" from Too Cute To Spook right in the middle of that panel. I added 1mm foam tape at the back, attached it to my Buffalo Plaid Diagonal panel, and then stuck all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

[VIDEO HOP] Pretty Pink Posh - September 2025 Release - Candy Cane Shaker Mix & Match

jeudi 18 septembre 2025

Hi there,

I am thrilled to be part of the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release video hop. The new holiday collection is absolutely amazing, with lots of shakers, additions to a couple of already existing sets, and a mini collection inside the collection with super cute gingerbread items.

Because my project is part of a video hop, please scroll down to the end of this post and check the process video for more details about this hop.

I started off by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25 inches kraft panel. I taped it to my sticky mat, and used the Layered candy canes stencils to create a cute and fun background. First, with the stencil A, I applied white pigment ink. Next, I lined up the stencil B on top of my panel and applied candied apple oxide ink all over the stencil. I added a little bit of texture to my panel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and then used a slim brush to add lots of splatters all over my panel. And to match with the candy canes, I mixed lumberjack plaid oxide ink with water and added red splatters to my panel.

Next, I die cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers. And I always like to add more interest and depth to my die cut elements, so I used matching distress inks to do that and this way bring a little something to each of those pieces. I added white splatters to all my die cut pieces, cardstock and pattern papers.

Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Christmas Holder Additions - snowflake  Christmas Bell Shaker - berries  Winter Foliage - poinsettia, branches, leaves.

Next I created two Candy Cane Shakers, and here is the process for one:

1. Cut a Candy Cane Shaker frame out of red cardstock, added matching distress ink to the edges, matching splatters and white splatters,
2. Cut a whole Candy Cane Shaker panel out of acetate and attached it at the back of the red frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of my red Candy Cane Shaker panel, I attached foam strips all around the candy cane, following its shape, and also on each of the small sections in the middle of the cane,
4. I poured a little bit of Candy Cane shaker beads inside each of the small sections,
5. Cut a whole Candy Cane Shaker panel out of light pink pattern paper, added white splatters to it, and once dry, I attached that light pink cane to the foam strips to totally close my Candy Cane Shaker,
6. I repeated those steps to create the second candy cane.

Next I cut a frame out of a beautiful poinsettia pattern paper from the Letters To Santa 6x6 paper pack by Carta Bella using a Nature Essentials die, and cut another one out of white cardstock. I layered and stuck both pieces on top of each other using 1mm foam squares, but shifted them a bit to get a pretty white border on each side of the frame. Attached the frame to my kraft panel using 1mm foam squares again, the two Candy Cane Shakers right in the center of the frame, and then assembled and stuck the poinsettia pieces and the greenery.

I tied a double bow that I attached right in the middle of the snowflake using liquid glue, glued berries to the branches on each side of the poinsettia, and to make those berries stand out and bring more shine to my card, I applied glossy accents on each of those small red pieces.

For my greeting, I started by white heat embossing "Merry" from Christmas Candles on light pink cardstock. Cut it with the matching die, and then attached it at the top left hand side corder of my panel using foam squares. Next I white heat embossed "Merry Christmas" from Christmas Banner Greetings on the same light pink cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 1 die, and then stuck it at the bottom right hand corner of my panel using foam squares again. And as a final touch, I applied opaque white paste with a brush at some places to give my card a frosty look.

Pretty Pink Posh STAMPtember 2025 Collab - Posh Roses

mercredi 17 septembre 2025

Hello there,

This year, Pretty Pink Posh is collaborating again with Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember, and has designed the gorgeous and exclusive Posh Roses stamp set. Love those beautiful roses and how versatile they are, they can be used for so many occasions! How about pink roses for Spring, or red ones for Valentine? And what do you think of black roses for a goth like Halloween? That one would be so cool! I went for a pretty traditional color palette, with bright yellow roses and khaki green leaves, I love how those colors compliment each other so well.

I started off by stamping the roses and leaves on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I cut them with the matching dies, and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers: YR33 + Y2 + Y1 for the roses, and G300 + GY42 + GY8 for the leaves.

When the coloring was done, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water on my work surface and used a slim brush to add white splatters all over my images. I did the same with fossilized amber distress spritz and then set my images aside to dry.

Next I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle kraft panel and stenciled a Fancy Lattice on top using opaque white paste. I didn't want it to be super perfect, so at some places I purposely didn't go to the very edges of my panel. Let the paste dry, and then attached my Posh Roses and leaves using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, making sure to leave enough space in the center to put my greeting.

Speaking of which, I used the Friend Shadow dies. I cut the shadow out of vellum and the word "Friend" out of gold mirror cardstock. Stuck the gold piece to the vellum piece using liquid glue, and then attached my word to the panel using liquid glue again, but only a few dots at the back of the word. Finally I white embossed "Many thanks" from Posh Roses on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the matching die and then attached it using a couple of foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Hocus Pocus Shaker Card

lundi 15 septembre 2025

Hello there,

How exciting it is to be back with this bright and sparkling shaker card! If you've been following me and my work for a while, you know that one of my favorite things is to mix and match new items with older ones, and this is what I did on today's card: the Cat Holder and a few other pieces are from the Pretty Pink Posh August 2025 Release, the Cauldron Shaker was released a few years ago, and everything matches perfectly, don't you think?

First thing first: the background. I cut a large Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and created a dark spooky background. At the bottom, I applied rustic wilderness oxide ink to create a grass border, and then, going up, I applied prize ribbon and chipped sapphire oxide inks. Next I used the Spooky Trees stencil to add trees to my background. I placed the stencil on my panel, and from top to bottom, I applied black soot and chipped sapphire oxide inks, stopping the inking right above the grass border. As always I added texture to my panel, starting with water droplets that I dried with a paper towel. Next I mixed black soot oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add more splatters to the tree section, I did the same with rustic wilderness oxide ink on the grass section, and then the same again with copic opaque white ink and brushed pewter mica spray that I splattered all over the panel.

When my panel was dry, I attached it to 5,5 x 4,25 inches light mint panel and then to a white card base, and I built my Cauldron Shaker, following those steps:

1. I cut a Cauldron Shaker frame out of purple cardstock, added wilted violet distress ink to the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added purple splatters to my cauldron frame, and did the same with white ink,
2. To make the inside of the cauldron, I took the inside piece I didn't use at step #1, placed it on aqua cardstock, traced the shape using a pencil, cut that shape about 2mm out of the pencil line, and erased the pencil line. I applied peacock feathers distress ink to the edges of my piece of paper, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters, and white ink splatters as well,
3. I used my aqua cauldron shape as a template to cut the same shape out of acetate, and I stuck that piece of acetate at the back of my purple frame using liquid glue,
4. Still at the back of the cauldron frame, I added foam strips all along the curvy edges,
5. I poured a bunch of Spellbound shaker beads inside the cauldron, peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and then attached my aqua piece of paper to the foam strips to close my Cauldron Shaker.

I cut all the Cat Holder pieces out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot distress ink to the edges of each element, mixed that same ink with water, splattered black droplets all over those pieces using a slim brush, and did the same with white ink. And I wanted him to have a cute chubby face, so I cut his head a second time, trimmed it in a curvy way, added the same ink and texture, and assembled the basic shape (with no accessories and details) of my kitty using 1mm foam squares.

Next I cut all the accessories and details that go on and next to my Cat Holder, starting with the broom using Halloween Holder Additions dies. I cut the stick out of light kraft cardstock and the fluffy part of the broom out of dark kraft cardstock, added vintage photo distress ink to each piece to darken them, mixed some ground espresso distress ink with water and added splatters to both pieces, and then did the same with white ink. I cut a Jack o' Lantern out of orange cardstock and a whole one out of dark brown cardstock using a Halloween Holder Additions die. I applied ripe persimmon distress ink to the edges of the orange pumpkin, mixed that same ink with water, added splatters to the pumpkin, and then did the same with white ink. I attached the orange pumpkin to the brown one using 1mm foam squares, and then put the Jack 'o Lantern in the kitty's paws using liquid glue. I cut two hearts out of light pink cardstock using a Valentine Holder Additions die, added texture using picked raspberry distress ink and white ink, and stuck them to the cat's face using 1mm foam squares. I gave him a pair of wiggly oval eyes, as well as black eyebrows using Easter Mug Additions dies, and to make him even cuter, I tied a black organza triple bow around his neck, glued a tiny spider in its center, and applied glossy accents to that spider, as well as to the kitty's nose. I cut one extra Cat Holder out of black glitter cardstock, attached my cute cat to it using 1mm foam squares and by shifting them to get a nice glittery border around the cat.

Before attaching everything to my card, I cut three spider webs out of vellum using a Halloween Holder Additions die, and three spiders out of dark grey cardstock, added black soot distress ink to the edges of each spider, as well as white ink splatters, and when they were dry, I gave them eyes using Onyx pearls. The bubbly potion and detached bubbles were cut out of aqua cardstock using Halloween Mug Additions dies and I gave those pieces the same texture as the inside of the cauldron. Next I quickly put everything on my card to see where I wanted the spider webs to go, I stuck them using liquid glue, and then attached all the elements using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I white heat embossed "Hocus Pocus" from Halloween Greetings on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die, and attached it to the Cauldron Shaker using 1mm foam squares. I also white heat embossed "Let's spook up some fun" from Sentiment Strips: Halloween on green cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, applied a bit of mowed lawn distress ink to the edges, and then attached that banner to my card using 2mm foam squares. As the final details and to make my little scene extra magical, I glued fine and chunky glitter to the bubbles.

Sunny Studio - Squirrel Friends Autumn Card

jeudi 11 septembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm very happy to be back with the extra cute and warm Sunny Studio Squirrel Friends, all gathered to pick acorns and have fun in the woods.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Squirrel Friends - squirrels, acorns, stump • Little Birdie - branches • Silly Sloths - leaves • Bunnyville - grass.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I moved on to the background. I cut a rounded panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, and created a bright background using stencils from my stash along with distress inks: a grass border using peeled paint distress ink, and a cloudy sky using scattered straw and fossilized amber distress ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones brown panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my brown gingham panel into a rounded frame. I attached that frame to my cloudy panel using 1mm foam squares, stamped "You're a little nutty & I love it!" from Squirrel Friends, and then attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I stuck my rounded scene to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark brown panel, and then to a brown card base.
