Sunny Studio - Roly Poly Penguins

Hello there,

I'm back with this fun Sunny Studio holiday card featuring the cute Roly Poly Penguins in a red, black and white color palette. How nice it was to color those sweet penguins again!

I started off by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a Joyful Holiday snowflake pattern paper, I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over my panel, and I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. Next I cut a Comic Strip Speech Bubble frame out of an All Is Bright red & white stripe pattern paper, and attached it to my snowflake panel using 1mm foam squares. I cut another Comic Strip Speech Bubble panel out of white cardstock, kept three of the inside pieces, turned them into snow borders using a Ribbon & Lace Borders die, added sparkling splatters to those pieces, and then stuck them to my panel using 1mm foam squares again.

On the top right hand square section, I stamped "It's penguining to look a lot like Christmas" from Penguin Pals. First, I white heat embossed "penguining" in the center of the square, and then stamped "it's" and "to look a lot like Christmas" in black. Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. The penguins are from Roly Poly Penguins, and the snowflakes are from Holiday Hugs.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, attached everything to my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and finally stuck my panel to a white card base.

Pretty Pink Posh - Gingerbread Mugs

I'm very happy to be back with this Gingerbread Mugs card I had a blast working on! Those Gingerbread Mugs from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release are so stinking cute, I just love them!

I started off by cutting a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light kraft cardstock and went for quite a simple background using the Circle Grid stencil along with candied apple oxide ink and white pigment ink, applying each color every other time to get this nice red and white grid. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my panel, I did the same with lumberjack plaid oxide ink for red splatters, and then the same again with liquid stardust for sparkles. When it was dry, I attached my panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel using foam tape, and finally to a white card base.

Next I cut two Gingerbread Mugs out of dark kraft cardstock. I applied gathered twigs distress ink to both of them, just on the edges to make them less flat, I mixed that same ink with water and added brown splatters on my mugs and then did the same with white ink.

I cut all the decorative bits and pieces out of colored cardstock, white cardstock and pattern paper, and here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Gingerbread Mugs - whipped cream, candy canes, marshmallows, buttons • Christmas Bucket Additions - snowflakes, peppermint candies, gift, gummies • Christmas Cake Pops - bows • Valentine Holder Additions - heart cheeks.

To the white pieces I added liquid stardust splatters, to the pattern paper pieces I added white splatters, and to the colored cardstock pieces I applied matching distress ink to the edges, added white splatters and matching distress ink splatters. And to some of them, such as the candy canes, marshmallows and candies, I added liquid stardust splatters.

I wanted to tone down my red and white Circle Grid background a little bit, so I cut a large Eyelet Circle panel out of vellum, and attached that circle to my card using liquid glue. Next I assembled and attached everything to my card, starting with the Gingerbread Mugs using 1mm foam squares and then all the bits and pieces using liquid glue and foam squares. When it was done, I gave each of my Gingerbread Mugs a pair of wiggly eyes, I picked peppermint confetti from the Holiday Gingerbread Mix and attached one in the center of the snowflake and one in the middle of each peppermint candy. I also applied opaque white grit paste at some places for a nice and cool frosty look, and finally I worked on my sentiment. I white heat embossed "Sending joy & cheer" from Christmas Banner Greetings on light pink cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greeting 1 die, and finally stuck that banner at the bottom of my card using foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Christmas Bells & Poinsettias

I'm thrilled to be back with this bright Christmas card. When it comes to holiday cards, I love all the styles, whether it be with die cuts only, cute critters or elegant themes, I like them all! For today's card, I went for an elegant themed card featuring new stuff from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release like the Christmas Bells and previously released items like the Poinsettia Corners. I think that these two are just the perfect match!

As very often, I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then colored everything using my Ohuhu markers in a traditional red, green and gold color palette. The images I colored are from two stamp sets only: the bells and mini clusters on each side at the bottom are from Christmas Bells, and the poinsettias are from Poinsettia Corners. When the coloring was done, I added a dot of glossy accents to each holly berry, and when I color images, I like to use a white gel pen to add details and highlights to each of them, but this time I didn't feel it, so instead, and once the berries were dry, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters to the images.

For the background, I cut a large Eyelet rectangle panel out of light kraft cardstock and created a holiday pattern on top using the Layered Winter Foliage stencils along with vintage photo, candied apple and rustic wilderness oxide inks. I added white splatters all over the panel, mixed vintage photo distress spritz with water and added sparkling droplets to my panel. When it was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark brown panel using 1mm foam tape, and then the whole thing to a matching card base.

I stuck my images to the card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, leaving enough space at the bottom for my sentiment. I white heat embossed "Merry & Bright" from Winter Greetings on the same dark brown cardstock as the back panel, cut it with the matching die, and finally attached it to the card between the small clusters using foam squares again.

Sunny Studio - Rustic Winter Shaker Card

I'm so happy to be back with this monochromatic holiday card showcasing the beautiful Rustic Winter die set. I've had this set from Sunny Studio in my stash for years but for some reason never used it, and that was a huge mistake because it is amazing, I love those delicate and pretty deers!

I started off by cutting all the bits and pieces out of dark grey, light grey, white and silver glitter cardstock. I added liquid stardust splatters to the white pieces, copic opaque white ink splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the dark grey and light grey pieces, and then assembled everything. I layered the deers, pine trees, birch trees and bow on top of silver glitter pieces, but shifted them a little bit to get a pretty silver border around each element. The deers and birch trees are from Rustic Winter, the pine trees are from Distinctive Door Holiday Add-On, and the bow is from Wicker Basket.

Next I worked on my shaker background and cut a Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of a Joyful Holiday snowflake pattern paper using the second largest die from the set. I used the second Stitched Semi Circle die to cut an opening out of my snowflake panel, cut an acetate panel slightly larger than the opening, created a frosty effect on the edges using copic opaque white ink and a sponge dauber, and once dry, I attached this piece of acetate at the back of my panel to create a window.

To turn this opening into a snow globe, I temporarily taped the second Stitched Semi Circle die to a piece of dark grey cardstock using washi tape, cut the semi circle shape following the outside edges of the die, and then run the panel through my die cutting machine, with the die still attached, to cut a thin frame that I stuck to the front of my snowflake panel around the acetate window using liquid glue. I cut a white panel using the second Stitched Semi Circle die again, cut a wavy border out of this panel, added liquid stardust splatters to it, and once dry, I stuck that border at the bottom of the acetate window using liaquid glue. I cut a fishtail banner out of light grey cardstock using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set, white heat embossed "Peace, love & joy to the world" from Build A Greeting Holidays on it, and attached that banner right below the window using 1mm foam squares.

For the inside of my shaker, I first cut a Classic Sunburst black & grey panel using the second largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, and added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to it. On that black & grey panel, I attached another white wavy border, making sure it would be higher than the one on the front panel, and then stuck seven birch trees from Rustic Winter. I attached two layers of foam strips all around the edges of my inside panel, poured tiny crystal stones on the trees, peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips, and then stuck my front panel to the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel. I attached my shaker panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches black panel, next to a white card base, and then I stuck the deers, pine trees and bow using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. To decorate each top corner of the card, I cut Lacy Snowflakes out of the same cardstock as the other pieces, added the same details and textures, and assembled them using liquid glue. Finally I glued a White Snowflake confetti in the center of each snowflake and bow as well.

Sunny Studio - Holiday Tags

I'm back with a trio of Christmas tags I made with a mix & match of images from different sets. I really like making tags all year round, and the last ones go back to the 4th of July, so it was extra fun to put these together after all this time.

I started off by cutting three tag panels using the largest Scalloped Tag Square die and three different pattern papers from the Polka Dot Parade paper pack. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters on the three panels, and then did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. I cut three more tag panels out of white cardstock, and attached a polka dot panel to a white panel using liquid glue.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all with the coordinating dies and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers in a non-traditional holiday color palette. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cozy Christmas - Christmas trees, presents • Reindeer Games - Santa • North Pole - nice list, Santa • Santa Claus Lane - presents, sack, Santa • Snowmen In Sweaters - snowflakes.

Once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to my images using a white gel pen, added a dot of glossy accents to each light in the Christmas trees to make them shine, and then attached my images on each tag using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, creating three super cute little scenes.

I used the Build A Greeting Holidays stamp set to stamp my sentiments: "Happy Holidays", "Merry Christmas" and "Season's Greetings". I added silver twine through the hole at the top of each tag, and then glued sparkling double bows to finish them nicely.

[IG HOP DAY 3] Pretty Pink Posh - Penguin Mugs

I'm happy to be back with this lovely winter themed card showcasing items from the Pretty Pink Posh November 2025 release. How amazing is this release with all the extra cute penguin themed products? Definitely one of my favorite releases ever!

I started off by making the background and cut a Pierced Snowflakes panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I covered it with hickory smoke oxide ink and blended a little bit of black soot oxide ink on the edges to darken my panel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel, next I did the same with black soot oxide ink, and then the same again with brushed pewter mica spray to bring sparkles and shine to my background. And finally I used the Twinkle stencil along with silver paste to add even more sparkles to my panel.

I set my panel aside to dry, and cut all the bits and pieces I needed to create my mugs. I cut them out of white, light grey, black, orange and brown cardstock, silver glitter and white glitter cardstock, vellum, and a cute snowflake pattern paper. As always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: Penguin Mugs - mugs, scarves, feet, beaks, marshmallows, whipped cream, beverage pieces Christmas Bucket Additions + Christmas Holder Additions - snowflakes Easter Mug Additions - rounded pieces on the scarves.

I added brown and white splatters to the beverage pieces, white splatters to the scarves and mug handles, liquid stardust splatters to the white snowflakes, and brushed pewter and white splatters to the vellum whipped cream. When everything was dry I assembled the mugs and snowflakes using foam squares and liquid glue, and then I attached my Penguin Mugs on my card using foam squares again.

I did my greeting in two parts. I used the Let It Snow Shadow die set to cut the word "Snow" out of black cardstock and its shadow out of dark grey cardstock. I attached the word to its shadow using liquid glue, and then attached the whole thing in the top left hand corner of my panel using foam squares. Next I white heat embossed "one else like you" from Let It Snow on black cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 1 die, and then stuck the banner in the bottom right hand corner of my panel using foam squares again.

For the final details, I picked some snowflake confetti from the Winter Wonderland mix and glued one in the center of each snowflake, and I also applied a coat of glossy accents to the word "Snow" to make it very shiny.

Sunny Studio - Let's Chill Shaker Card

I'm back with this new shaker card featuring the super cute Penguin Pals and adorable seals from Let's Chill. Love how those lovely Sunny Studio winter critters match so perfectly.

I started off by creating the shaker panel. I cut the frame out of a blue polka dot paper from the Polka Dot Parade paper pack using the main Comic Strip Everyday die, attached it to an acetate panel using liquid glue, and added foam strips at the back of the frame all along the four edges and behind the middle lines as well. Next I poured White Snowflake confetti and chunky glitter inside each window, splattered white ink on a light blue gingham 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel from the Gingham Pastels paper pack, and once dry, I attached this light blue panel to the foam strips to totally close my shaker panel.

I cut another Comic Strip Everyday panel out of white cardstock, kept the inside pieces and cut slim pieces out of them to make snow borders. I mixed a bit of liquid stardust with water, added sparkling splatters to each snow border and then attached them all to my shaker panel using liquid glue. And finally I stuck my panel to a white card base using liquid glue as well.

Next I stamped the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, cut them all using the matching dies and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers. When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, white blizzard nuvo drops to the snow on the trees, I stamped "Sending you winter hugs" from Bear Hugs directly on the acetate using black stazon ink, which is an ink that doesn't smear on acetate or vellum, and finally attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

[VIDEO HOP] Pretty Pink Posh - November 2025 Release - Penguin Shaker & Winter Trees

Today's card is part of the Pretty Pink Posh November 2025 Video Hop, so make sure to scroll down to the end of this post and check the process video for more details about this hop.

This brand new release is full packed with adorable winter themed items, super cute penguin stamps and dies, several amazing stencils and more die sets to help us decorate and complete our cards!

I started off by cutting a Pierced Snowflake panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and created a snowy background with the brand new Snowflake stencil. My inspiration for this card's color palette was the Black Tie shaker beads, so that's why, except for the beak and feet, I went for a full black, grey, white and silver color palette.

So I stenciled my panel with hickory smoke and black soot oxide inks, kept the stencil in place, and then added lots of details and textures. I used brushed pewter mica spray to add metallic grey splatters to my panel, I also added white splatters using copic opaque white ink, and then mixed black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters all over my panel. Removed the stencil and set my panel aside to dry. Next I cut a Snowy Hill Border out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and used the same inks to add details and textures.

Next I worked on my Winter Trees. I cut five trees out of silver glitter cardstock, five more trees out of white, dark grey and light grey cardstock, added liquid stardust splatters and white splatters to each of those cardstock trees, and, once dry, I attached each of them to a silver tree, shifting them a little bit to the top in order to get silver borders on each tree. And when attaching those trees, I applied liquid glue only in the middle so I could lift up the branches later and this way add more dimension to the trees.

Next I created my cute Penguin Shaker following those steps:

1. I cut the frame out of black cardstock, and a whole penguin panel out of acetate that I stuck at the back of the frame using liquid glue,

2. Still at the back of the frame, I attached foam strips along the edges of the penguin, and made the edges of those foam strips non sticky using my powder tool,

3. I poured a bunch of Black Tie shaker beads inside the penguin, cut another whole penguin panel out of a snowflake pattern paper, and attached that panel to the foam strips to close my Penguin Shaker,

4. Next I decorated the front of my shaker and gave life to my penguin by gluing his white belly and face, the beak, a pair of googly eyes and his feet, the scarf from Fall Mug Additions, black glittery heart cheeks from Valentine Bucket Additions, a cute hat from Penguin Holder, and finally I applied glossy accents to the beak and feet to make them super shiny.

Next I stuck everything to my Snowflake panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, starting with the Snowy Hills Border, next some Winter Trees on each side, my cute Penguin Shaker, and then a couple more trees.

For the greeting, I used stamps from Let it snow. I white heat embossed "Snow" on dark grey cardstock and cut it with the matching die. I embossed in silver "glad we're friends" on white cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached both pieces to my card using small pieces of foam squares. And finally, I added a snowflake confetti from the Winter Wonderland mix at the top of each tree.
