Hi there,
I'm super happy to be back with this lovely Spring card showcasing several items from the Pretty Pink Posh February 2026 Release. A fun and colorful shaker card that makes you feel that Spring has finally arrived!
I started off by working on the card base and cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I masked the stitched and eyelet edges off with washi tape and covered the entire panel with spun sugar oxide ink. Next I used Layered Watering Can stencil set along with broken china, shaded lilac, mowed lawn, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber oxide inks to create a lovely background. This background ends up mostly covered by all the elements on the card, but it still adds colors and cuteness behind the bunny, watering can and flowers.
I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel. I did the same with worn lipstick distress spritz and then with spiced marmalade distress spritz for a touch of sparkles. I removed the washi tape, let my panel dry, and then attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches blue panel using 1mm foam tape.
Next I worked on the Watering Can Shaker, and build it like any of the other Pretty Pink Posh Shakers I've created in the past:
1. First I cut a Watering Can Shaker frame out of a multicolored stripe pattern paper,
2. I cut a whole watering can out of vellum, and attached it at the back of the frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of the frame, I attached foam sticky strips all along the frame, following the shape of the watering can,
4. I poured a bunch of Bunny Hop shaker beads on the vellum,
5. I cut another whole watering can out of the same blue cardstock as the card base, and attached it to the foam strips to totally close my Watering Can Shaker,
6. I cut the watering can handle out of purple cardstock, added white splatters to it, and once dry, stuck it to my Watering Can Shaker using 1mm foam squares,
7. Finally I cut the watering can head out of the same blue cardstock again, added white splatters to it, and stuck it using 1mm foam squares.
Next I cut all the bits and pieces I needed to complete my card out of colored cardstock, white cardstock, pattern papers and vellum. I added white splatters to the tulips, leaves, branches, butterflies, bunny, paws and bows. Added liquid stardust splatters to the daisies, vellum butterflies and bows. Added fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the daisies center pieces, and vintage photo distress spritz splatters to the butterflies bodies. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:
• Stitched Spring Flowers - tulips, daisies, leaves, branches • Springtime Holder Additions - butterflies • Bunny Holder - bunny • Bear Holder - bunny snout • Big Easter Cupcake - bunny paws • Valentine Bucket Additions - heart cheeks • Easter Bunny Mugs - bows.
I assembled the flowers, leaves and butterflies using foam squares and liquid glue, assembled the bunny's face and gave him a pair of googly eyes, and then I attached everything to my card using foam squares, starting with the flowers behind the bunny, next the bunny, the Watering Can Shaker, the Stitched Spring Flowers cluster at the bottom, the butterflies and then the bunny's paws.
I white heat embossed "Hello Spring" from Spring Blooms on yellow cardstock, cut it using the matching die and attached it to the watering can using foam squares again. To finish my card, I applied glossy accents to the bunny's nose and white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart cheeks.
