[IG HOP DAY 1] Pretty Pink Posh - Chickie Easter Mix & Match

lundi 24 mars 2025

Hello there,

Spring is in the air, and Pretty Pink Posh has a new Easter collection. This collection features eggs, bunnies, tulips, butterflies, and more to inspire all your upcoming Easter projects! And I'm thrilled to be back with this super duper adorable Easter card showcasing two cute chicks and some pretty pink daisies. As always I went all mix & match to build my little scene, and I love how sweet and fun it turned out.

Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along for inspiration that will inspire your birthday projects all year long!

I started off by working on the card base, and cut a 4,5 x 3,25 inches panel out of kraft cardstock. I added a nice texture to it using the Pierced Leafy Vines Plate, and a daisy pattern using the Springtime Borders stencils along with spun sugar, worn lipstick and fossilized amber oxide inks. This stencil set comes with carrots and tulips patterns too, but I didn't want to add those to my panel, so I just masked those sections off with washi tape in order to create my rows of pink daisies. I mixed some vintage photo distress ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of brown woodgrain cardstock, and added vintage photo and ground espresso distress inks to the edges to darken them a little. I mixed some vintage photo distress ink with water and added splatters to the scalloped edges of my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. Once my panels were dry, I attached the pink daisy panel to the Eyelet Rectangle panel using liquid glue, next to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light beige panel, and then to a white card base.

Next I cut two Grass Borders as well as all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added a bit of matching distress ink to the edges of the cardstock pieces, white splatters to all the elements, and once everything was dry, I assembled all the pieces on my card using foam squares and liquid glue.

As always here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Candy Bucket - bucket  Easter Bucket Additions - daisies, large chick, large bec  Valentine Bucket Additions - large heart cheeks  Big Easter Cupcake - small chick body, small heart cheeks  Bunny Holder - small chick belly  Easter Mug Additions - small bec, eyebrows  Party Hats - comb  Beautiful Bows - bows.

I gave each chick a pair of wiggly eyes, applied glossy accents to their bec, and glued a yellow heart confetti from the Colorful Hearts clay confetti mix in the center of each bow. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Joyful Easter Wishes" from Sentiment Strips: Easter on yellow cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, added a bit of matching distress ink to the edges of the banner, and finally attached it at the bottom of my panel using foam squares.
