Hi there,
I'm super happy to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this super cute card showcasing a mix & match of items, some from the February 2025 Release, and some from previous releases. And because I wanted to feature a lot of tall trees on my project, I went for a Shutter Card design, which was tall and wide enough to fit all I wanted to put in my little scene.
I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Jet Black ink. I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • It's A Bird - mice, birds, small sentiment • Heart Tree - birds • Rawrsome - dinosaurs, volcano • Kanga-rrific Add-On - grass, dandelions, rocks, trees • All The Speech Bubbles - speech bubble.
I cut my Shutter Card panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and worked on the inside first using stencils and oxide inks. From bottom to top: the Slimline Grassy stencil with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness, a Slimline Hillside stencil with shabby shutters and mowed lawn, and with antique linen and vintage photo, a Slimline Grassy Hillside stencil with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness, and a Slimline Cloudy stencil with salvaged patina and peacock feathers.
I stamped my greeting from Rawrsome at the very top of my Shutter Card panel using black versafine ink, attached the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Next I folded each side of the panel on the score lines, and worked on the outside of my card.
I cut a Small Stitched Circle Stackables out of Strathmore bristol smooth card, and created a similar background as the one on the inside of the card using the same stencils and oxide inks. Cut a Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock, added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the scalloped edges, I attached my scalloped frame to the circle using liquid glue, and then stuck my remaining images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.
I created the sleeve by cutting and assembling two Textured Canvas Aqua pieces using a Shutter Card die, and attached my little circle scene to the sleeve using liquid glue. I used the main Shutter Card die to cut two large Bitsy Blooms panels that I attached to the front of the card. I cut two smallest panels out of another Bitsy Blooms paper using another Shutter Card die, attached those panels using liquid glue, and I finally fed my shutter card through the sleeve to finish my card.
