Pretty Pink Posh - Halloween Stockings

vendredi 31 octobre 2025

Hello there, happy Halloween!

I'm thrilled to be back with this slimline card showcasing a mix & match of Pretty Pink Posh items from different years. I've had this Halloween stockings idea since last year but didn't have the time to create it, so I'm glad I was able to finally make it this year.

I started off by stamping all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them using the coordinating dies and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers in a traditional Halloween color palette: black, purple, green and orange. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  Halloween Word Scenes - "Eek"  Batty About You - bats  Halloween Icons - spider webs, spiders, witch hats  Boo To You - candy corn, spider webs  Holiday Stockings - stockings, candy canes, lollipops  Spring Birdhouses - branches.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Next I cut a panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Slimline Peekaboo Windows die, masked the stitched edges off with washi tape and created the sky. First I covered the entire panel with prize ribbon oxide ink, and then used two stencils from the Spooky Sky stencil set: the cloud stencil along with chipped sapphire oxide ink, and the bat stencil along with black soot oxide ink. Next I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters for contrast, and did the same with liquid stardust for a sparkling sky.

When the panel was dry, I attached all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and white heat embossed "You're fangtastic" from Batty About You right below "Eek". For the card base I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches black & grey stripe panel, attached it to a card base, and finally stuck my spooky panel using 1mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Cozy Christmas

jeudi 30 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back with this new Sunny Studio slimline card featuring some cheeky kitties on Christmas night. They're all gathered around the fireplace, napping, chilling and waiting for Santa to bring more presents! Let's hope that the Christmas tree stays up a few more minutes!

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all with the coordinating dies, and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Cat Antics - cats, balls of yarn • Cozy Christmas - Christmas tree, armchairs, glass of milk, side tables, lamps, presents, cushion • Santa Claus Lane - fireplace, presents, stockings • Purrfect Birthday - mouse toy • North Pole - cookies • Penguin Party - hats • Bunnyville - carrot.

For the armchairs, I stamped them a second time on a Joyful Holiday gingham red paper, fussy cut them, added shadows to each piece using red markers and then attached each red armchair to a white one. This way we have a nice pattern on the armchairs and still have the white border around the images. When all the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and added a dot of glossy accents to each light in the Christmas tree.

Next I cut a slimline panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using a Slimlime Scalloped Frame die, masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, and divided it in two parts using washi tape again to create wallpaper on the upper section and the floor on the lower section. I first covered the top section with tattered rose oxide ink, and then created a vertical stripe pattern using the Straight Stripes stencil along with saltwater taffy oxide ink. I mixed some of that ink with water and added splatters to my panel, I did the same with festive berries oxide ink for more contrast, the same with copic opaque white ink for brightness and then the same again with liquid stardust because every Christmas scene needs sparkles!

Next I covered the floor section with antique linen oxide ink, added a bit of vintage photo oxide ink at the very bottom of my panel and blended the colors with my antique linen blending tool. I mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water and added brown splatters to the floor section, and then did the same with white ink.

When my panel was dry, I stamped my "Wishing you a purrfect Christmas" greeting in black right in the top center of my panel. "Wishing you a purrfect" is from Birthday Cat and "Christmas" is from Santa Claus Lane. Next I attached all the images on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I attached my panel to an 8 x 3 inches kraft panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a scalloped panel out of yellow cardstock using another Slimline Scalloped Frame die and stuck the kraft panel to it using liquid, and then I attached my yellow panel to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches red card base using 1mm foam tape.

Pretty Pink Posh - Gingerbread Shaker

mercredi 29 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back with this bright and cheerful holiday card featuring a mix & match of items from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release and "older" ones, including the new Gingerbread Shaker, which is so amazing! I'm a big fan of the Pretty Pink Posh Shaker Collection, so I had to feature this cute little guy on one of my projects.

And speaking of which, I started off by building my Gingerbread Shaker following those steps:
1. I cut a Gingerbread Shaker frame out of dark kraft cardstock, applied gathered twigs distress ink on the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added brown splatters on my gingerbread frame, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink,
2. I cut a whole Gingerbread Shaker panel out of acetate, and stuck that panel at the back of the brown frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of the frame, I attached foam strips all along the edges of my Gingerbread Shaker frame, bending and curving the strips to follow the shape of my die cut piece,
4. I poured a whole lot of Gingerbread shaker beads on the acetate,
5. I cut a whole Gingerbread Shaker panel out of a beige gingham pattern paper, added brown and white splatters to it, and when dry, attached it to the foam strips to close my Gingerbread Shaker,
6. I cut the icing decorative pieces out of white cardstock, added liquid stardust splatters to them, stuck them on my shaker with liquid glue, and applied glossy accents to those white pieces to make them shine.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of white cardstock, colored cardstock and pattern paper, and as always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Christmas Bucket Additions - gummies, candy canes, peppermint candies  Valentine Holder Additions - heart cheeks, bow  Big Valentine Cupcake - cupcake wrap, cupcake, whipped cream  Candy Treats - cookies.

To the white pieces I added liquid stardust splatters, to the pattern paper pieces I added white splatters, and to the colored cardstock pieces I applied matching distress ink to the edges, added white splatters and matching distress ink splatters. To some of them, such as the gummies, heart cheeks and candies, I added liquid stardust splatters, and just like the icing details on my Gingerbread Shaker, I applied glossy accents to the white swirling details on the cookies.

Next I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light kraft cardstock, run it through my die cutting machine along with the Argyle Pierced Plate die to give my panel a nice texture, and then used the Candy Cane Stripes stencil to add a pretty pattern, lining up with the dots created by the Argyle Pierced Plate. In one way I applied white pigment ink, and in the other way I applied candied apple oxide ink. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my panel, I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles, and then with lumberjack plaid oxide for contrast. When it was dry, I attached my panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light pink panel, and then to a white card base.

I assembled and attached all my elements on my card, starting with the Gingerbread Shaker, next the cupcake and then all the small decorative pieces. I gave my cute little guy a pair of wiggly eyes and three Onyx Pearls as buttons, I picked some peppermint confetti from the Holiday Gingerbread Mix, attached one on the bow and one on each peppermint candy using liquid glue, and just like the other projects I created with the September 2025 release, I applied opaque white grit paste here and there for a lovely frosty look.

I white heat embossed "Have a sweet Christmas" from Gingerbread Friends on light pink cardstock, cut it with the matching die and finally attached my sentiment right on the poinsettia cupcake wrap using foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Christmas Train Slimline Card

vendredi 24 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back with this lovely Christmas card showcasing the Christmas Train from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release. Except for the Valentine Train card I made back in January 2024, I like to use a slimline panel to feature as many wagons as possible, and for today's card I knew since the beginning that I wanted to use the Merry Christmas Shadow dies, so I definitely needed a slimline design to feature this big sentiment right above my cute Christmas Train.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I cut them all with the matching dies, and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers in a brown, red, pink and minty green color palette. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Christmas Train - locomotive, wagons, wreath, smoke, teddy bear, holly, candy canes, present, railroad, connecting pieces • Gingerbread Friends - sack, present • Holiday Icons - Santa.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then worked on the background. I cut my panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Slimline: Peekaboo Windows die, masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, and covered the whole panel with cracked pistachio oxide ink. Next I added snowflakes all over the panel using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil along with lucky clover oxide ink, and then added more details to my background. First I splattered water all over the panel and dried it with a paper towel, I mixed liquid stardust with water and added sparkling droplets to my panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink for brightness and then the same again with lucky clover oxide ink for contrast. I removed the washi tape, and when my panel was dry, I attached it to an 8,5 x 3,5 inches dark minty green panel using 1mm foam tape, and then the whole thing to a matching card base.

I attached my images to my panel using 1mm and 2 foam squares, starting at the very bottom with two railroads to make one, and then the Christmas Train elements. For my greeting, I used the Merry Christmas Shadow dies. I cut the word pieces out of red cardstock and the shadow pieces out of vellum, stuck each red word to its matching shadow using liquid glue, and then attached the entire greeting above the train using slim pieces of 1mm foam squares. As for the final details, I applied glossy accents to my red "Merry Christmas", to the holly berries and to the lights in the Christmas tree, and then white blizzard nuvo drops to the lights on the locomotive and wagons.

Sunny Studio - Gingerbread Holiday Express

jeudi 23 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm back with this lovely gingerbread themed card featuring images from different sets, which is my favorite thing to do when I make cards, I really love how the Sunny Studio stamp sets can be mixed to create super cute scenes!

I started off by stamping the images on light kraft cardstock instead of the usual white cardstock because for some reason when I color gingerbread themed images I like to use kraft cardstock. I cut them all with the coordinating dies and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Holiday Express - locomotive, wagons, presents, smoke, holly, connecting pieces • Christmas Cookies - gingerbread characters (wagons) • Baking Spirit Bright - gingerbread character (locomotive) • Snowmen In Sweaters - snowflakes.

I added highlights and details to the images with a white gel pen, and next I worked on the background. I cut a scalloped panel out of the same cardstock as the images using a Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die and added texture to that panel using the Dotted Diamond Landscape die. I applied vintage photo and ground espresso distress inks to my scalloped panel edges, next I mixed some vintage photo distress ink with water and added brown splatters all over the panel, I did the same with vintage photo distress spritz for sparkles, and then the same again with copic opaque white ink for contrast. When my panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light kraft panel using 1mm foam squares, and then to a card base using liquid glue.

I cut a banner out of dark brown cardstock using a Notebook Photo Corners die, white heat embossed "Have a holly jolly Christmas" from Build A Greeting Holidays on it, attached that banner to my card using 1mm foam squares, and finally the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Gingerbread Friends Shadow Box

lundi 20 octobre 2025

Hi there,

I'm happy to be back with this adorable Shadow Box featuring the super cute Gingerbread Friends from the Pretty Pink Posh September 2025 release. And I added a mix & match of new and old images to complete my little holiday scene.

I started off by stamping the images on light kraft cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. I cut them all using the matching dies, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  Gingerbread Friends - gingerbread characters, presents, candy canes, lollipops  Christmas Train - wreath, presents, Christmas tree  Spring Birdhouses - gingerbread house.

Next I worked on my Shadow Box and cut two panels out of the same light kraft cardstock as the images. I kept one of those panels, and cut an opening out of it using the rectangle die from the set. I added vintage photo distress ink to the edges of both panels, and then created a cute gingerbread pattern on both of them using the Layered Gingerbread stencils along with vintage photo, ground espresso and candied apple oxide inks, as well as white pigment ink. I mixed vintage photo distress ink with water and added brown splatters on both panels using a slim brush, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

For the background, I cut a 4 x 3 inches panel out of light kraft cardstock, added vintage photo distress ink to the edges, and then added candy canes all over the panel using the Layered Candy Canes stencils along with white pigment ink first and then candied apple oxide ink. I mixed vintage photo distress ink with water and added brown splatters on the panel using a slim brush, and did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut three basic insert pieces out of light pink cardstock using a Shadow Box die, and used the wavy border die from the set to turn my three basic inserts into wavy inserts. I applied worn lipstick distress ink along the wavy edges of each insert, mixed that same ink with water and added pink splatters to each wavy border, next I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and then with liquid stardust.

Next I used the scalloped rectangle die and the rectangle die from the Shadow Box die set to cut a frame out of white cardstock. I assembled my Shadow Box, attached the wavy inserts and the candy cane panel using liquid glue, stuck the white frame using liquid glue again, and then stuck all the images on the inside and front of the box using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Sending joy & cheer" from Christmas Banner Greetings on dark brown cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greeting 1 die, and finally attached that banner at the bottom of my Shadow Box using 2mm foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Reindeer Games Shaker Card

vendredi 17 octobre 2025

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back with this cheerful shaker card showcasing Santa and the reindeers getting ready for the holiday season. As very often I picked images from different Sunny Studio sets to create a nice and cute mix & match scene, and as always everything is listed down below.

So, speaking of which, I started off by stamping my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  North Pole - Santa, north pole sign, nice list  Reindeer Games - reindeers  Snowmen In Sweaters - trees, snowflakes  Santa Claus Lane - presents, sack.

I added highlights and details to the images with a white gel pen, applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the trees to make the snow on them sparkle, and then moved on to the shaker panel and cut all the pieces I needed to build it. First, I cut a Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of an All Is Bright turquoise paper using the largest die from the set. Next I picked the fourth smallest Rounded Rectangle Window die and cut two openings out of my turquoise panel. And using that same fourth smallest die again, I cut two panels out of white cardstock and cut a wavy border out of each of those white panels to create two snowy borders. For the background of my shaker, I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Joyful Holiday polka dot panel.

Before assembling my shaker panel, I added texture to the different pieces. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters to the turquoise panel and to the polka dot panel, I mixed liquid stardust with water and added sparkling splatters to the snowy borders, and when my turquoise panel was dry, I stamped "Have a super jolly Christmas" from Reindeer Games at the very bottom using black ink.

I attached a piece of acetate at the back of my turquoise panel using liquid glue, and still at the back of my panel, I attached foam strips around each opening and on the rest of the panel as well. I poured twenty White Snowflake confetti inside each opening and tiny clear crystal pieces as well, peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips, and then attached my polka dot panel to totally close my shaker panel. Back to the front of my panel, I stuck a snowy border at the bottom of each opening using liquid glue, attached my shaker panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel and then to a white card base. Next I finally attached my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.
