Pretty Pink Posh - Spring Chick Shaker Card

lundi 23 février 2026

Hey there,

I'm thrilled to be back on the blog with this bright and cheerful card featuring some of the brand new items from the Pretty Pink Posh February 2026 release. As I've already mentioned in previous blog posts, I'm a huge fan of the Shaker Collection, and that Chick Shaker caught my attention right away, it's such a cutie!

I started off by cutting a large Pinking Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, covered the whole panel with tumbled glass oxide ink, and then added a fun pattern using the Mini Checker stencil along with broken china oxide ink. Next I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters to my panel using a slim brush, and then did the same with tumbled glass distress spritz for some sparkles.

While my panel was drying, I worked on my Chick Shaker and assembled it just like any other shaker item I've made in the past, following those steps:
1. I cut a Chick Shaker frame out of a multicolored stripe pattern paper, cut a whole chick out of acetate, and attached that acetate panel at the back of the multicolored frame using liquid glue,
2. Still at the back of the multicolored frame, I attached foam strips all around it, following the rounded edges of the chick,
3. I poured a bunch of Bunny Hop shaker beads inside the chick,
4. I cut another whole chick out of a yellow pattern paper, added white splatters and fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to that yellow panel,
5. When dry, I attached my yellow panel to the foam strips to totally close my Chick Shaker.

Next I added a few more details to my Chick Shaker. I cut two small hearts out of pink cardstock using a Valentine Bucket Additions die, cut the beak and feet out of orange cardstock using other Chick Shaker dies, and picked two giant googly eyes from my stash. I stuck the beak and the heart cheeks using 1mm foam squares, peeled the backing papers off the eyes and attached them as well, and then stuck the feet using liquid glue. For more cuteness, I applied glossy accents to the beak and feet, white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart cheeks, and set my Chick Shaker aside to dry.

I cut all the Stitched Spring Flowers out of colored cardstock and pattern papers, added texture to each piece using liquid stardust, copic opaque white ink, fossilized amber distress spritz, and when everything was dry, I assembled all the flowers and greenery using foam squares.

Next I cut a Pierced Leafy Vines panel out of kraft cardstock, stuck it to a matching card base using double sided sticky tape, and attached my Mini Checker panel on top using 1mm foam tape. I stuck my Stitched Spring Flowers on both sides of the card in a symmetrical way using foam squares again, gave them more interest by bending the petals a little bit with my fingers, and then attached my cute Chick Shaker right in the middle of the card using more foam squares. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Bright Spring Wishes" from Easter Banner Greetings, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 3 die, and stuck that banner to the Chick Shaker using foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Watering Can Shaker Card

jeudi 12 février 2026

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this lovely Spring card showcasing several items from the Pretty Pink Posh February 2026 Release. A fun and colorful shaker card that makes you feel that Spring has finally arrived!

I started off by working on the card base and cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I masked the stitched and eyelet edges off with washi tape and covered the entire panel with spun sugar oxide ink. Next I used Layered Watering Can stencil set along with broken china, shaded lilac, mowed lawn, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber oxide inks to create a lovely background. This background ends up mostly covered by all the elements on the card, but it still adds colors and cuteness behind the bunny, watering can and flowers.

I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel. I did the same with worn lipstick distress spritz and then with spiced marmalade distress spritz for a touch of sparkles. I removed the washi tape, let my panel dry, and then attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches blue panel using 1mm foam tape.

Next I worked on the Watering Can Shaker, and build it like any of the other Pretty Pink Posh Shakers I've created in the past:

1. First I cut a Watering Can Shaker frame out of a multicolored stripe pattern paper,
2. I cut a whole watering can out of vellum, and attached it at the back of the frame using liquid glue,
3. Still at the back of the frame, I attached foam sticky strips all along the frame, following the shape of the watering can,
4. I poured a bunch of Bunny Hop shaker beads on the vellum,
5. I cut another whole watering can out of the same blue cardstock as the card base, and attached it to the foam strips to totally close my Watering Can Shaker,
6. I cut the watering can handle out of purple cardstock, added white splatters to it, and once dry, stuck it to my Watering Can Shaker using 1mm foam squares,
7. Finally I cut the watering can head out of the same blue cardstock again, added white splatters to it, and stuck it using 1mm foam squares.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces I needed to complete my card out of colored cardstock, white cardstock, pattern papers and vellum. I added white splatters to the tulips, leaves, branches, butterflies, bunny, paws and bows. Added liquid stardust splatters to the daisies, vellum butterflies and bows. Added fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the daisies center pieces, and vintage photo distress spritz splatters to the butterflies bodies. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:

Stitched Spring Flowers - tulips, daisies, leaves, branches  Springtime Holder Additions - butterflies  Bunny Holder - bunny  Bear Holder - bunny snout  Big Easter Cupcake - bunny paws  Valentine Bucket Additions - heart cheeks  Easter Bunny Mugs - bows.

I assembled the flowers, leaves and butterflies using foam squares and liquid glue, assembled the bunny's face and gave him a pair of googly eyes, and then I attached everything to my card using foam squares, starting with the flowers behind the bunny, next the bunny, the Watering Can Shaker, the Stitched Spring Flowers cluster at the bottom, the butterflies and then the bunny's paws.

I white heat embossed "Hello Spring" from Spring Blooms on yellow cardstock, cut it using the matching die and attached it to the watering can using foam squares again. To finish my card, I applied glossy accents to the bunny's nose and white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart cheeks.

Pretty Pink Posh - Chick Holder & Springtime Holder Additions Rainy Card

lundi 9 février 2026

Hello there,

I'm super happy to be back with this adorable Spring card showcasing Pretty Pink Posh products, mostly from the February 2026 Release. This card features the cutest little chick taking care of his tulips and daisies on a rainy day, but lucky him, he has a lovely pink umbrella to keep his feathers dry.

I started off by creating the rainy background, and cut a 5,5 inches square panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I temporarily taped the center piece of the Watercolor Circle stencil set right in the middle of my panel using rolled-up pieces of washi tape, applied shaded lilac oxide ink to the edges of my panel, and darkened the inside edges a little bit by applying some wilted violet oxide ink.

I removed the center piece of the Watercolor Circle stencil set, temporarily taped the edge piece of the stencil set, applied tumbled glass oxide ink in the center of my panel, and then removed the stencil.

Next I taped the Raindrops stencil on top of my panel, and added raindrops using wilted violet oxide on the purple edges and broken china oxide ink on the middle section of my panel. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters all over the panel, and did the same with liquid stardust. And then I did the same on the purple section with wilted violet distress spritz and the same again on the blue section with tumbled glass distress spritz. When my panel was dry, I attached it to a 4,75 inches square white card base using 1mm foam tape.

I cut all the bits and pieces out of white cardstock, vellum, colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added white splatters to the chick, umbrella, vellum clouds, tulips, daisies center pieces, leaves and flowerpots, added liquid stardust splatters to the white clouds, light pink umbrella pieces and daisies, and added fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the daisies center pieces. I let everything dry, and then assembled all the elements using 1mm foam squares.

Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Chick Holder - chick, beak, feet  Springtime Holder Additions - umbrella, flowers, leaves, flowerpots  Stitched Clouds - clouds  Bunny Holder - chick belly  Valentine Bucket Additions - heart cheeks.

I gave the chick a pair of large googly eyes, and then attached everything to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Spring Has Sprung" from Easter Banner Greetings on blue cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 3 die, and attached that banner to my card using foam squares again. Finally I applied glossy accents to the chick's beak and feet, and white blizzard nuvo drops to his heart cheeks.

[VIDEO HOP] Pretty Pink Posh - February 2026 Release - Decorative Easter Egg

jeudi 5 février 2026

Hello there,

Today's card is part of the Pretty Pink Posh February 2026 Release Video Hop, so make sure to scroll down to the end of this post and check the process video for more details about this hop.

This new release is perfect to create the prettiest Spring themed cards and cutest Easter themed cards, what an amazing release it is! I went for a mix & match of brand new items to make this bright and colorful Easter card.

I started off by cutting a large Pinking Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I masked the stitched edges off and created a rainbow background using oxide inks, from top to bottom: kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, tumbled glass and shaded lilac. Next I taped the Mini Checker stencil on top of my panel, and used darker shades of oxide inks to create a tone on tone look, from top to bottom: worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, mowed lawn, broken china and wilted violet. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over my panel with a slim brush, I did the same with liquid stardust and then the same again with fossilized amber distress spritz. I peeled the washi tape off the edges of my panel, and set it aside to dry.

Next I worked on the Decorative Easter Egg. First, I used the intricate die multiple times to cut all the tiny shapes out of different colored cardstock and pattern paper. Next I cut the front piece out of a yellow pattern paper, and added white splatters and fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to it. I cut three identical "middle" pieces out of white cardstock, and cut the base piece out of white cardstock. I attached one of the "middle" pieces to the base using liquid glue, and then stuck all the tiny pieces inside each space using liquid glue again. I attached the two remaining "middle" pieces on top of my panel, and finally the front piece, still using liquid glue.

To decorate the top and bottom of my card, I used the Stitched Spring Flowers die set, and cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added white splatters to every pieces but the daisies, added liquid stardust splatters to the tulips and daisies, and added fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the daisies center pieces. And when everything was dry, I assembled the tulips, daisies and leaves using 1mm foam squares.

Next I started to assemble my card. I cut a Chevron Pierced panel out of kraft cardstock and attached it to a matching card base using double sided sticky tape. On top I stuck my rainbow Pinking Rectangle panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of vellum and attached it to my rainbow background to tone it down a bit, and then stuck my Decorative Easter Egg on top using 1mm foam squares.

Above and below the Decorative Easter Egg, I attached my Stitched Spring Flowers in a symmetrical way using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and next I worked on my greeting. Using the Large Easter Shadow die set, I cut the shadow element out of vellum, cut the word "Easter" three times out of dark kraft cardstock, glued those three words on top of each other to get dimension, and then attached the whole word to the shadow piece using liquid glue.

I white heat embossed "Joyful Easter Wishes" from Easter Banner Greetings on the same kraft cardstock as the card base, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 3 die, and attached both of my greeting elements to the egg using foam squares. Finally, I applied glossy accents to "Easter" to make it pop a little bit more against the colorful background.

Lawn Fawn - Valentine Bunnies

mardi 3 février 2026

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this new set of Lawn Fawn cards & video featuring the cutest bunnies and a color palette I'd never used on a Valentine card before, and how fun it was to use this purple, red and pink combo!

I started off by cutting a Checkered Hearts Backdrop Landscape panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I entirely covered it with spun sugar oxide ink to get a soft base, and then used the Outline Hearts stencil along with wilted violet, kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry and candied apple oxide inks to create a super fun background. Next I mixed Liquid Stardust with water, added sparkling splatters to my panel with a slim brush, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next, I went a bit more further than just having a colorful Checkered Hearts Backdrop Landscape panel. I also wanted each of the tiny heart openings to have a different background. So I cut small pieces of Sugarplum, Guava, Ballet Slippers, Tomato and Lilac cardstock, cut 1mm foam squares in half, attached four sticky pieces around each heart at the back of the panel, and stuck my small pieces of colored cardstock, just like putting puzzle pieces together. Still at the back of my panel, I attached 2mm foam squares in each empty space, peeled the backing papers off, and then stuck my panel to a white card base. But I felt like I needed to tone my background down a tiny bit, so I cut a Postage Rectangle panel out of vellum, added white splatters to it, and temporarily taped it to my card using washi tape.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces I needed to build the bunnies out of colored cardstock and pattern papers: 80lb White, Fog, Narwhal, Storm Cloud, Sugarplum, TomatoBallet Slippers, and Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime 6x6 papers. And as always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:

Build A Bunny - bunnies  Build A Bunny Accessories - bows  Build A Critter Winter Accessories - sweaters, sleeves, hearts on the sweaters  Build A Critter Christmas Accessories - headbands  Tiny Gift Box Dog Add-On - bunny snouts  Hearts & Stars Skinny Tag - heart cheeks.

When the bunnies were done, I applied glossy accents to the nose and heart on the sweater, white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart cheeks and added white details using a white gel pen.

Next I cut three Scripty Xoxo out of Guava cardstock, cut a Scripty Xoxo Outlined Add-On out of 80lb White cardstock, stacked the three pink words on top of each other using liquid glue, and then attached the whole piece to the outlined element using liquid glue again.

Before attaching everything to my card, I needed some extra elements to complete it. I cut an envelope out of 80lb White cardstock, a heart out of Guava cardstock and a letter out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using Little Letter dies. I folded the envelope and sealed it with the heart, masked the stitched edges off of the letter with washi tape, covered the letter panel with hickory smoke oxide ink, and then stamped "Hoppy Heart Day" in black using stamps from Henry's Build A Sentiment Love + Henry's Build A Sentiment Bunny Puns.

Next, I brought my card back, stuck all my pieces (bunnies, envelope, letter and xoxo) to the Vellum panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, I removed the washi tape that was keeping the Vellum panel in place, added liquid glue at the back of that Vellum panel, but only behind the elements, and then attached my panel to the card. Finally I applied glossy accents to the heart on the envelope, and added white details to the envelope and xoxo using a white gel pen.

And I created an almost identical card using the Checkered Hearts Backdrop Portrait die. On this card, I applied shaded lilac oxide ink as the soft base for my background, used the Giant Xoxo die, and created the sentiment using the Henry's Build A Sentiment Bunny Puns stamp set only.
