Under The Sea Card Series - Ocean of Birthday Wishes

It's day 2 of Sneak Peek Week for Craftin Desert Divas May Release, so today I'm sharing with you a card showcasing the new "Mermaid Trolls" stamp set. Under the sea projects are one of my favorite things to make so I was so happy to play with these cuties!

I first started by creating the background, and for that I simply made a large vertical stripe on a bristol smooth panel and blended three shades of blue distress inks. And with the help of a homemade hill stencil, I created waves using the same inks. For a final sea touch, I sprayed water on top of the ink and dried it with paper towel.

I stamped and fussy cut the images, and colored them using alcohol markers. Colored their diadems using a silver gel pen, and applied clear glitter to their hair.

Stamped the sentiments, attached the images using foam squares, applied glossy accents to the pearl and added clear drops here and there to finish the card.

Summer Card - Fun in The Sun - CAS Card

Hello there,

It's day 1 of Sneak Peek Week for Craftin Desert Divas May Release. I wanted to make something simpler than the projects I usually do so I went with a CAS (= clean and simple) card.

I first started by creating the background. For that I made my own circle stencil and temporary attached it to a bristol smooth panel. To create the sand, I applied light brown distress ink at the bottom of the circle using a homemade hill stencil. And using a cloud stencil (again, homemade), I applied blue distress ink to create the sky. Sprayed some water on top of all of that and dried it using paper towel.

I stamped and fussy cut my images, and colored them using my alcohol markers. I wanted bright colors so I went with rainbow colors for the parasol. Attached both images using foam squares. Stamped my sentiment, applied glossy accents on the glasses, added some clear dots here and there, and attached the panel to a white card base to finish the project.

Craftin Desert Divas - May The Trolls Be With You

Hello there,

Here is my second projects showcasing the new "Troll Wars" stamp set by CDD. It was specially released to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th. My first card featured Darth Vader, and this one is all about the good people ^^ If you're a fan of the saga, I'm sure you will recognize the characters!

I first started by fussy cutting and coloring all the images using my alcohol markers.

Next I created the background. For that, I masked the edges of my bristol cardstock panel using washi tape, blended different shades of blue/violet distress inks and then applied glitter paste using a star stencil.

Attached the sentiment using double sided foam tape, and did the same thing for the images using foam squares. To finish the card, I simply attached the panel to a white card base.

Craftin Desert Divas - Troll Vader

Hey there,

Today Craftin Desert Divas has a special release to celebrate Star Wars Day. For my first project, I've decided to showcase Darth-troll-Vader, isn't he just awesome?

I first started by creating the crimson moon, and for that I die cut a circle from masking paper, applied the negative piece onto bristol cardstock and then inked the circle using red distress ink. Splattered water on top of it and dried everything with a paper towel to create a cool moon effect.

Removed the masking paper, and applied the circle mask previously die cut on top of the moon so I could ink the rest of my panel. For that, I used grey and black distress inks, plus a little bit of the same red ink as the one I used for the moon. Then I splattered a lot of black metallic paint on top of that dark background to create stars.

Once the background was dry, I removed the circle mask, and next move on to coloring my image. I used my alcohol markers, and made to refer to an image of the real Darth Vader so I wouldn't mess it up ^^

As one of the biggest lines of the series Star Wars movies is "I am your father" by Darth Vader to Luke Skywalker, I thought it would be fun to stamp a father's day sentiment ^^ So I gold heat embossed it on black cardstock, die cut using a banner die, attached it at the bottom of the moon, and attached my image right in the middle of the moon. Finally I attached the panel to a black card base to finish the project.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #27 - Fun in the bayou - Diorama Card

Hey there,

Today I'm sharing a new diorama card I made for the "3-d cards" Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. That kind of card is definitely my favorite to make because it allows me to create a whole scene. Plus, it look nice on a shelf if you want to decorate your room ^^

As always I first started by cutting the papers to build the base. I used the same measurements I always use, but this time I simply made the middle part of the base a little bit bigger so the ivy die cut could fit.

On the base, I applied green distress ink, dark at the bottom and lighter going to the top. Sprayed some water on top of it and dried it with a paper towel, and then I splattered droplets of the same green ink on the whole panel.

I also applied light green distress ink on two grass borders, and blue distress ink on a hill border to create the pond. Sprayed water on those elements too. I attached the insert pieces, closed the diorama and attached the borders on them.

I colored the images using alcohol markers. The frogs are just the cutest and so easy to color. I die cut the ivy frame and colored it using the green distress inks as before. Sprayed water on it too.

I stamped my sentiment and then attached the ivy die cut by creating two thin flaps that I glued on both edges of the diorama. All the images were attached using glue dots. I used a thin stripe of clear acetate to make the dragonfly fly.
