Hello Bluebird - Feed the Birds Slimline Card

 Hey there,

I'm back with a winter card featuring my favorite set from last release: Feed the birds, as well as My Snowman for the sentiment, O Christmas Tree for the trees, and Merry Mice for the street lamps. I stamped my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, and as always I used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Next I set the images aside and moved on to the background. I cut an 8,5 x 3,5" bristol panel and started by covering it with tumbled glass distress ink. Once it was all covered, I added peacock feathers distress ink at the top and blended it into the tumbled glass section. I also added texture and details to this background, started with water droplets that I dried using a paper towel. Next I mixed some peacock feathers distress ink with water and created splatters on the paper using a thin brush, and finally I used liquid stardust to bring some shine to my winter scene.

Next I attached the trees using foam squares, and before sticking the other images, I applied white nuvo drops on both trees to create snow on the branches, and before it was dry I sprinkled fine glitter on the nuvo drops to get sparkly snow. And then I attached the remaining images using foam squares again.

When everything was stuck, I brushed the excess of glitter off the trees, stamped my sentiment, added white details and highlights on the images, and also added white nuvo drops on the streets lamps and on the bird house.

And done! A super cute winter scene with two sweet girls feeding the birds in the park. I hope you like this card, as always I leave you with the video (click on the image right below) and wish a very nice day, as well as a very merry Christmas! See you next time!

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Happy New Year

 Hello there,

Time to join two adorable friends that are dancing in the snow to celebrate the new year. Those cuties are from Polar Friends and I also stamped a few trees from Bunny Hill to fill up the space.

As always I stamped the images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

When it was done, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and then moved on to my background. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" Strathmore bristol panel, as well as a mountain border using Glacier Peaks and two hill borders using Hill and Dale.

I started withthe large panel that I colored using cracked pistachio, peacock feathers and blueprint sketch distress inks. I added lots of texture on my paper, set the paper to dry and then stamped my sentiment. A sentiment in two parts: I started by heat embossing "Happy New Year" in silver, and next I stamped the second part right below it using black versafine ink. Both are from North Star.

I added some contrast to the mountain and hill borders using a little bit of cracked pistachio distress ink and also added liquid stardust droplets on those pieces to create a frosty look.

Next I assembled everything on my panel, starting with the borders. I attached the mountain border directly on the panel using double sided tape and used foam tape and foam squares to stick the hill borders and get some nice dimension. I stuck the penguin and the bear using foam squares again, and used liquid glue to attach the trees.

I added highlights and white dots on the penguin's scarf, and finally glued a few clear sequins here and there to bring even more sparkles to my winter scene.

Holiday Card Series w/ Hello Bluebird - Two Matching Festive Scenes

 Hey everyone,

I'm back today for Hello Bluebird with two simple festive deck the halls matching cards showcasing Cozy Christmas Eve and Deck the halls. I added a few other images from previous releases so make sure to check the list of supplies below for more details.

I stamped everything on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, used my alcohol markers to color the images and the coordinating dies to cut them all.

When it was done I created two panels with pattern paper and woodgrain cardstock and attached the images on those two panels using foam squares and liquid glue.

The front of my cards were pretty busy so I decided to put my sentiment on the inside. I started by stamping the phrase 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas', on both cards, and I die cut the words Be Merry twice and stuck those elements above each phrase.

Holiday Card Series w/ Sunny Studio - Nativity Scene Slimline Card

 Hi there,

Today's card features one of my favorite stamp set for the holiday season which is "Holy Night" by Sunny Studio.

I stamped all my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, used the coordinating dies to cut them all and my alcohol markers to color everything.

When it was done, I cut a bristol panel measuring 8-1/8 x 3,5" as well as two hill borders using dies by Lawn Fawn and Hello Bluebird, and used seedless preserves, chipped sapphire and black soot distress inks to create a pretty dark night sky.

I colored the hill borders using tea dye and walnut stain distress inks, I stamped my sentiment on the smallest border and stuck those two pieces on my panel using double sided tape. Next I attached all my cute images using glue dots and foam squares to finally create my nativity scene. And finally I added more stars in the sky as well as highlights on the images using a white gel pen.

Holiday Card Series w/ Lawn Fawn - Monochromatic Shaker Snow Globe

 Hi there,

I'm so glad to be back with a monochromatic snow globe shaker card for Lawn Fawn. I really love to make that kind of card. For Halloween for a spooky look, and Christmas for a vintage look.

I started with the coloring. I stamped my images on 80lbs Neenah solar white cardstock using jet black ink and used shades of grey to color everything.

Once it was done, I moved on to the snow globe and I cut three circles out of different cardstock, fog, black licorice and pixie dust, using the biggest die from the Large stitched circle stackables die set. And I incite you to watch the video below to see how I assembled my background.

When my background was complete, I attached all my cute black and white images using glue dots and liquid glue to keep everything as flat as possible.

Next step was to create dimension so that the sequins and beads can move easily inside the snow globe. So I cut two frames out of white foam using the biggest die from the Stitched circle frame die set. And I stuck those two foam frames using liquid glue on top of each other on my winter panel.

I also created the window: I cut a circle frame out shimmery grey cardstock, as well as a circle out of clear acetate, and stuck those two pieces together.

To fill the globe I picked a few things: clear sequins, white beads, silver beads and white sequins, I put all those elements inside the circle and I applied liquid glue on the foam frame to finally stick the window panel and close my snow globe.

Next I moved on to the bottom of the snow globe. I used the magic Iris snow globe die set to cut the pieces: shimmery grey cardstock for the main element, pixie dust for the strips, and black licorice for the small banner. On that banner I silver heat embossed my sentiment, which is from Offset sayings Christmas, and to attach that banner, I used silver thread.

I attached the snow globe base at the bottom of the globe, and added more foam at the back of the base to have the same height everywhere, and finally I attached my snow globe on a 5,5 x 4,25" card base. And on that card base, I stuck a pattern paper from the Really rainbow Christmas 6x6 paper pack.
