Pretty Pink Posh January 2026 Release - Sneak Peeks Day #1

mercredi 31 décembre 2025

Hi there,

The Pretty Pink Posh January 2026 release will be available on January 5th, and I'm back today to showcase the amazingly cute Box Of Chocolates die set. I made it kind of interactive with a see-through lid that you can open, but that's because I always have to go a little bit extra on my cards, I can't help it, and it was super easy to put together.

I started off by cutting a 5,5" x 4,25" panel out of aqua cardstock and even though this panel would mostly be covered by another one, I still wanted it to be more interesting, so I used the Layered Heart Sprinkles stencils to add a fun pattern to my card base panel. I used candied apple distress ink for the hearts and salvaged patina distress ink for the sprinkles. I mixed a couple of liquid stardust droplets with water and added sparkling splatters all over my panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and when it was dry, I attached my panel to a matching card base using liquid glue.

Next I cut a large Pinking Rectangle panel out of turquoise cardstock, and just like the first panel, even though this pinking panel would be hidden behind the Box Of Chocolates, I decided to create a heart pattern using the Half Hearts stencils along with peacock feathers distress ink., and then added white splatters all over my panel. I attached this panel to the card base using 1mm foam squares, and then moved on to the Box Of Chocolates.

I created the inside part of the box first by cutting a pink panel using a die from the set, added details to this panel using the Argyle Pierced Plate die, and then splatters. Next I cut all my Box Of Chocolates pieces: the wrapping papers out of pearlescent vellum, the chocolates and icing details out of vanilla cardstock and two different brown cardstock, and cut the word "Xoxo" out of the same brown cardstock. I stuck each chocolate on a wrapping paper using 1mm foam squares, attached the icing details using liquid glue, glued the dark brown letters to the light brown letters and shifted them to get a border on each letter, I attached all those pieces to the pink panel using 1mm foam squares again, and then applied glossy accents to the icing details and dark brown letters. Finally I glued a piece of ribbon at the back of my pink panel, right in the middle of the bottom edge, and then moved on to the lid of the box.

I used both of the Box Of Chocolates rectangle dies to cut a frame out of red cardstock, and used the smaller one to cut a whole panel out of acetate. I wanted this acetate panel to be decorated, so I used the Layered Heart Lattice stencil A along with white stazon ink to add a lovely white heart pattern to my see-through lid. Stazon ink is an ink that dries super fast so it doesn't smear on acetate or vellum. Next I attached my red frame to the acetate panel using liquid glue.

I cut a slim piece of vellum measuring about 3,75" x 3/4" and stuck one of the long edges of that vellum piece at the back of the red frame, right in the middle of the top edge, using liquid glue. At the back of my red frame, I attached foam strips all around the edges, cut another red frame, and stuck that frame to the foam strips. The reason I added foam strips in the construction of the lid is simply because I attached the chocolates on the pink panel with 1mm foam squares, so I needed dimension so that the lid would close nicely without squishing the chocolates. I glued a piece of ribbon at the back of the lid, right in the middle of the bottom edge, using liquid glue, and finished the lid by adding another red frame to hide the end of the ribbon.

Next I connected the lid to the pink panel by attaching the other long edge of the vellum piece at the back of the pink panel, right in the center of the top edge, using liquid glue. I closed my Box Of Chocolates by tying a bow, and attached the box to the card using 1mm foam squares. I white heat embossed "You're the sweetest" from Valentine Banner Greetings on aqua cardstock, cut it into a scalloped wavy banner using a Banner Greetings 2 die, and finally stuck that banner to the lid by adding a mini dot of liquid glue on two of the white stazon ink hearts.

Pretty Pink Posh - Winter Birdhouse

lundi 29 décembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this lovely winter themed shaker card featuring a whole bunch of Pretty Pink Posh products from different years, a very diverse mix & match, just how I like them, to create a super cute scene. And sharing this card and blog post is also the opportunity for me to announce that I'll be staying in the Pretty Pink Posh design team for another term, and it truly fills me with joy!

To celebrate and kick off this new term, Pretty Pink Posh is giving away a BIG gift card to their shop, so make sure to visit the Pretty Pink Posh blog to get all the details!

So, to make this card, I started off by creating the background. I cut a Pierced Snowflake panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and covered it with shaded lilac oxide ink. I added trees to my panel using the Layered Birch Trees stencils along with wilted violet oxide ink for the trees and black soot oxide ink for the details. Next I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters to my panel and then did the same with liquid stardust. To complete my winter background, I added falling snow using the Snowfall stencil along with opaque white grit paste, and once my panel was dry, I attached it to a white card base.

Next I worked on the shaker bucket following those steps:
1. Cut a Candy Bucket frame out of purple cardstock, and added white splatters to it,
2. Cut a whole bucket out of acetate, added white splatters to it as well, and let it dry,
3. Attached the acetate bucket at the back of the purple frame using liquid glue,
4. Still at the back of the frame, I stuck foam strips all around it, following the shape of the bucket,
5. Poured a bunch of Pastel Blizzard confetti and Marshmallow shaker beads inside the bucket,
6. Cut another whole bucket out of an aqua pattern paper, added white splatters to it, and once dry, attached it to the foam strips to totally close my bucket.

To ground my bucket, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of white cardstock, cut a hill out of it using one of the Snowy Hills Borders die, added liquid stardust splatters to it, and set it aside.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock, silver glitter cardstock, white glitter cardstock and a light pink pattern paper. I added liquid stardust to the white pieces, and white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the colored pieces. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Winter Trees - trees  Christmas Holder Additions - snowflakes  Christmas Bucket Additions - snowflakes, snow banks  Winter Foliage - pine cones, branches, leaves  Decorative Birdhouses - birdhouse  Holiday Birds - birds, scarf, ear muff  Beautiful Bows - bow.

I cut a snowflake out of the birdhouse and then assembled the house, glued a colored tree on a white glitter tree using liquid glue, making sure to shift them a bit to get a nice white border under each branch, I did the same for the bow, attached the snowflakes on top of each other to make two large snowflakes, and finally assembled the birds, with Onyx pearls for their eyes.

Next I attached everything to my card, starting with the bucket, next the trees, the birdhouse and birds, the hill border, and then the snowflakes and foliage, all of this using 1mm and 2mm foam squares and liquid glue. I picked three snowflake confetti from the Pastel Blizzard mix and glued a snowflake in the center of each snowflake and inside the birdhouse as well. And for my greeting, I white heat embossed "Winter Greetings" from Let It Snow on pink cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and then attached it between the foliage clusters using foam squares again.

Pretty Pink Posh - Snowman Shaker Card

samedi 27 décembre 2025

Hi there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this cute pastel winter card showcasing a mix & match of products from Pretty Pink Posh, including the Winter Trees from the November 2025 release, which is definitely my favorite item from that release, considering the multiple times I used them on cards since the release!

I started off by cutting a Pierced Snowflake panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I knew that most of it would be hidden, so I colored the top half only with kitsch flamingo oxide ink. I mixed a bit of copic opaque white ink with water and used my trusty slim brush to add white splatters on my pink sky, I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles, then added falling snow to my sky using the Snowfall stencil along with opaque white grit paste, and once my panel was dry, I stuck it to a white card base using liquid glue.

To make the snowy ground, I cut a 4,25" wide panel out of white cardstock, cut two Snowy Hill Borders out of it, one being taller than the other one, and added liquid stardust splatters to both pieces for a sparkling and frosty snowy look.

Set my sky panel and snowy hills aside to dry, and then worked on my Snowman Shaker, following those steps:

1. Cut a Snowman Shaker frame out of white cardstock, and added liquid stardust splatters to it,
2. Added white splatters to a piece of acetate and let the ink dry, stuck my snowman frame to that piece of acetate using liquid glue, and trimmed the excess of acetate all around the snowman,
3. At the back of the snowman, added foam strips all around it, following the rounded shape,
4. Poured a bunch of Pastel Blizzard and Marshmallow shaker beads inside the snowman,
5. Put the Snowman Shaker die on a piece of light blue pattern paper, used a pencil to trace all around the die, and cut the snowman shape slightly smaller than what I just traced,
5. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached my light blue snowman shape to the foam strips to totally close the Snowman Shaker,
6. Cut the arms out of a medium grey cardstock, added white splatters to both pieces, and stuck them to the snowman using liquid glue.

Next I cut all the Winter Trees, snowflakes from Christmas Bucket Additions and Christmas Holder Additions, and city skyline from City Buildings out of colored cardstock, silver glitter cardstock, white glitter cardstock and pattern papers. I assembled the building pieces and added white splatters to the element, white splatters to the Snowman Shaker accessories (the scarf is from Fall Mug Additions and the earmuffs are from Christmas Holder Additions), liquid stardust splatters only to the white snowflakes, and white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the colored pieces.

I assembled the trees and snowflakes using liquid glue, and then attached everything to my card using foam squares, starting with the City Buildings, next the taller Snowy Hill Border, some Winter Trees, the second snow hill and two more trees, next my Snowman Shaker and its accessories, and finally a trio of snowflakes.

For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Snow" and "Glad we're friends" from Let It Snow on black cardstock. I cut the first one with the matching die, and cut the second one into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and I stuck both pieces to my card using foam squares. Finally I gave my Snowman Shaker a pair of googly eyes, applied glossy accents to its nose to make it shine, and picked three snowflake confetti from the Pastel Blizzard mix and stuck one in the center of each snowflake using liquid glue.

Sunny Studio - Holy Night

jeudi 25 décembre 2025

Hello there, merry Christmas to those celebrating the holiday season!

I'm back with this lovely nativity scene showcasing the perfect stamp set for the occasion: Holy Night, which is also the very first Sunny Studio set I bought back in 2020 and introduced me to the brand. Feel welcome to check the two other Holy Night cards I made here and here.

I started off by cutting a 3-6/8" x 3-6/8" panel out of a Heroic Halftones blue pattern paper, I applied a little bit of prize ribbon distress ink to the edges and then a bit of chipped sapphire distress ink to darken my sky even more, mixed a few drops of liquid stardust with water and added sparkling splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. Next I cut a panel as wide as the sky panel out of a Polka Dot Parade green pattern paper, turned it into a grass border using a Picket Fence die, applied mowed lawn and rustic wilderness distress inks to the edges, and then added white splatters. I cut a square panel out of white cardstock using the second largest Stitched Square die, attached my night sky panel using liquid glue and then the grass border using 1mm foam squares. I cut a scalloped panel out of a Classic Sunburst blue pattern paper, stuck my white panel to it using 1mm foam squares again, and finally attached my panel to a 4,5" x 4,5" white card base.

I stamped my Holy Night images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink, cut them all with the coordinating dies and then colored everything with my Ohuhu markers in a brown and neutral color palette. When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, attached them to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and then created the greeting. I white heat embossed "Holy Night" from Holy Night on vellum, cut it into a small circle using the second smallest Scalloped Circle Mat 1 die, and attached that circle to the card using dimensional transparent squares.

Pretty Pink Posh - Penguin Holder Winter Scene

mardi 23 décembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm very happy to be back with this black & white winter themed card showcasing items from the Pretty Pink Posh November 2025 release: Penguin Holder and Winter Trees. I absolutely adore all the penguin products from this release, and those trees are sooo beautiful, I want to use them on all my cards now!

I started off with the background, cut a Pierced Snowflakes panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and covered it with hickory smoke oxide ink. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my panel, I did the same with black soot oxide ink for contrast and the same again with brushed pewter mica spray for sparkles, and finally I turned this background into a snowy sky using the Snowfall stencil along with opaque white grit paste.

I cut another Pierced Snowflakes panel out of white cardstock, added the same details and texture as the ones I added to the snowy panel, and once dry, I used a Snowy Hill Border die to cut a wavy border out of my panel. I attached that border to my background panel using 1mm foam squares, and then moved on to the die cutting process.

I cut all the bits and pieces out of dark grey, light grey, white, silver glitter, black glitter, orange cardstock, and a snowflake pattern paper. Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Penguin Holder - penguin • Winter Trees - trees • Christmas Holder Additions - ear muffs, snowflakes • Christmas Bucket Additions - snowflakes • Valentine Bucket Additions - heart cheeks • Fall Mug Additions - scarf.

I added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the grey trees, liquid stardust to the white trees and snowflakes, and white splatters to the scarf.

I let everything dry, and then assembled all my pieces starting with the trees. I purposely shifted them a little bit to get silver glitter borders under each branch. I assembled the snowflakes using tiny pieces of 1mm foam squares in the center to add dimension. I put my cute Penguin Holder elements together, gave him a scarf, ear muffs, a pair of googly eyes and two glittery heart cheeks, added glossy accents to his beak and feet, and placed a large snowflake in his flappy hands.

Next I attached everything to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, starting with the trees in the back, next my Penguin Holder in the foreground, and then the snowflakes here and there.

I white heat embossed "Let it snow" from Let It Snow on black cardstock, cut it with the matching die and then attached it in the bottom left hand corner of my panel using foam squares again. And for the final details, I picked some snowflake confetti from the Winter Wonderland mix and glued one in the center of each snowflake.

Pretty Pink Posh - Winter Trucks

lundi 22 décembre 2025

Hi there,

I'm back with this cute and fun winter card featuring trucks clearing the roads from snow, using different Pretty Pink Posh items to create a super cool and colorful scene.

I started off by cutting a Pierced Snowflakes panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and I knew that most of it would be covered, so I only colored the top using salvaged patina oxide ink. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters to the top of my panel, I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles, and then added snowflakes using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil along with opaque white grit paste. When the paste was dry, I attached my panel to a white card base.

I cut two roads out of dark grey cardstock using a City Buildings die and added white splatters to both pieces. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of white cardstock, cut four Snowy Hill Borders out of it, and added liquid stardust splatters to each border.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock, white cardstock, holographic cardstock, silver glitter cardstock, and a light blue pattern paper. I added liquid stardust splatters to the white pieces, white splatters to the colored pieces, and when everything was dry, I assembled my elements using foam squares and liquid glue. The truck in the upper part is from Big Excavator, the one in the lower part is from Big Dump Truck, and I used Christmas Holder Additions and Christmas Bucket Additions dies to create the snowflakes.

I attached everything to my card: roads, snowy hills, piles of snow and snowflakes using foam squares and liquid glue. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Winter Greetings" from Christmas Banner Greetings on purple cardstock, cut it into a wavy banner using a Banner Greeting 1 die, and stuck it to the Big Dump Truck using 1mm foam squares. Finally, I picked three snowflake confetti from the Pastel Blizzard mix, and stuck a snowflake in the center of each large snowflake using liquid glue.

Sunny Studio - Frosty Poinsettias

jeudi 18 décembre 2025

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back with this bright and traditional Sunny Studio holiday card showcasing the Botanical Backdrop die set, which was originally not a Christmas themed set, but the flower dies reminded me of poinsettias, so I thought it'd be fun to create a holiday card with that set.

I started off by cutting everything I needed to make the card base. I cut two Botanical Backdrop leafy panels: one out of dark green cardstock, and one out of a Polka Dot Parade green pattern paper. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to both panels, and I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark kraft panel, placed it inside my Woodgrain embossing folderapplied brown ink inside the folder on the opposite side of the panel, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a nice tone on tone brown woodgrain texture, mixed vintage photo distress ink with water to add brown splatters all over my panel, and then cut a dark brown frame using the Tropical Trees die setNext I attached all those elements to my Woodgrain background. I cut both of the Botanical Backdrop panels in pieces, stuck one leafy element at each corner of my Woodgrain panel using 1mm foam squares, attached the dark brown frame on top using liquid glue, and then stuck my panel to a kraft card base.

I gold heat embossed "Merry Christmas" from Season's Greetings on white cardstock, cut it with the matching die, attached it right in the middle of my panel using 1mm foam squares, and then cut all the bits and pieces: the poinsettias pieces are from the Botanical Backdrop die set, and the branches and greenery are from the Winter Greenery die set. Cut all those pieces out of colored cardstock, gold mirror cardstock and vellum, added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the poinsettia elements, and white splatters only to the greenery pieces, and then assembled the poinsettias using 1mm foam squares to give them a lot of dimension. When it was done, I stuck the poinsettias and greenery to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and liquid glue as well. And finally, I gave my card a frosty winter look by applying white stencil paste on most of the elements.

Pretty Pink Posh - Igloo Shaker Winter Scene

lundi 15 décembre 2025

Hi there,

I'm glad to be back with this new winter themed shaker card showcasing products from the Pretty pink Posh November 2025 release. Working on that Igloo Shaker was super fun, I really enjoyed using vellum instead of the traditional acetate to make the window panel, I thought it would emphasize the frosty look of my card, I'm quite happy with how the whole scene turned out, and I hope that you like it, too!

I wanted to use stencil paste on my background so I started with it to give it time to dry while I would work on the other elements. So, I cut a Pierced Snowflakes panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and covered it with hickory smoke oxide ink. I mixed black soot oxide ink with water and added black splatters all over my panel using a slim brush, I did the same with copic opaque white ink for a touch of brightness, the same again with brushed pewter mica spray to make my winter sky sparkle, and then I added snowflakes to my panel using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil along with opaque white grit paste.

While my panel was drying, I cut my Winter Trees out of dark grey, light grey, white and silver glitter cardstock. I added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters on the grey and white trees, let them dry, and then attached a cardstock tree to a silver glitter tree using liquid glue, shifting the trees a little bit to get sparkling borders under the branches. I also cut the pieces to build my Christmas Light Garland out of the same cardstock as the trees. I added liquid stardust splatters to each light, attached them to the white string using liquid glue, and then applied glossy accents to the lights to make them super shiny.

I created my Igloo Shaker following those steps:
1. I cut the Igloo Shaker frame out of holographic cardstock, cut a whole igloo out of vellum, added white splatters to that vellum panel, and once dry, attached it at the back of the holographic frame with liquid glue,
2. Still at the back of the igloo, I attached foam strips around the edges, following the curves, and also on each small section that divides the igloo,
3. I poured Black Tie shaker beads inside each section of the igloo, and peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips,
4. I cut another whole igloo out of dark grey cardstock, and attached it to the foam strips to totally close my Igloo Shaker.

Next I attached everything to my Cascading Snowflakes panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, starting with some Winter Trees in the back, my Igloo Shaker right in the middle of the panel and a tree on each side, and then the Christmas Light Garland on the igloo. My greeting is from Let It Snow, I white heat embossed it on black cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and finally attached it to the igloo using foam squares again.
