Pretty Pink Posh - Lucky Charm

As promised on my Decorative Shamrock blog post, I'm back with another St Patrick themed card showcasing a mash-up of recent and older items from Pretty Pink Posh. It was super fun to put up those colorful Shamrock Borders, I love how nice and bright the whole card turned out!

I started off by cutting a large Pinking Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, covered the panel with shabby shutters oxide ink and then created a cute pattern using the Mini Checker stencil along with mowed lawn oxide ink. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over the panel with a slim brush, I did the same with fossilized amber distress spritz and then the same again with rustic wilderness oxide ink. When my panel was dry, I attached it to a dark pink 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel using 1mm foam tape, and then stuck that dark pink panel to a white card base using liquid glue.

Next I cut five Shamrock Borders out of green cardstock, trimmed the borders so that each of them had five clovers, cut colorful clovers out of papers from the St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park using two other Shamrock Borders dies, and attached those clovers to the borders using liquid glue and 1mm foam squares. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters to each border using a slim brush, did the same with liquid stardust, and then stuck the five borders to my Mini Checker panel using 1mm foam squares.

I cut a large Eyelet Diamond panel out of vellum, added white splatters to it and set it aside to dry. I used the Lucky Holder Additions die set to cut the hat pieces, the coins and clovers. I also used dies from the Valentine Bucket Additions die set to cut hearts, stuck a heart in the center of each of the largest clovers using 1mm foam squares, added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to each clover, added white splatters and fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the coins, assembled the hat pieces, and then attached everything to my Eyelet Diamond panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I stuck my vellum panel to the card using 1mm foam squares again, and then worked on my greetings. I used the Lucky Shadow die set to cut the shadow piece out of white cardstock, and the word "Lucky" out of white cardstock three times and out of gold glitter cardstock one time. I attached the three white "Lucky" words on top of each other using liquid glue, stuck the gold glitter word on top, attached the whole piece to the white shadow using liquid glue again, and then stuck the word right below the hat and clover cluster using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "You're my lucky charm" from Lucky To Know You on light pink cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and attached it below "Lucky" using foam squares. Finally I picked white hearts from the Valentine Hearts confetti mix and glued a heart in the center of each of the smallest clovers.

Pretty Pink Posh - Decorative Shamrock

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back with this St Patrick themed card showcasing shamrock items from Pretty Pink Posh. As very often I was inspired by pattern papers to pick the color palette, here it's the St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park, and it was so much fun to assemble my Decorative Shamrock. And I'll have another St Patrick themed card for you guys in a couple of days, so stay tuned!

I started off by cutting a large Pinking Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, I masked the stitched edges off with washi tape, covered the whole panel with spun sugar oxide ink, and created a fun clover pattern using the Layered Shamrocks stencil set along with worn lipstick, rusty hinge, fossilized amber, mowed lawn and broken china oxide inks. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with liquid stardust. Next I removed the washi tape, cut a dark green polka dot 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel, attached it to a white card base using double sided sticky tape, and stuck my shamrock panel on top using 1mm foam tape.

Next I worked on my Decorative Shamrock. First, I used the intricate die multiple times to cut all the tiny shapes out of different pattern papers & cardstock from the Echo Park St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack, and gold glitter cardstock as well. I cut the front piece out of a light green pattern paper from the Lawn Fawn Spiffy Speckles 6x6 paper pack, and added texture to it: white splatters, fossilized amber distress spritz splatters and rustic wilderness distress ink splatters. I cut three identical "middle" pieces out of white cardstock, and cut the base piece out of white cardstock. I attached one of the "middle" pieces to the base using liquid glue, stuck all the tiny pieces inside each space using liquid glue again, attached the two remaining "middle" pieces on top of my panel, and finally the front piece, still using liquid glue.

I cut a large Eyelet Circle panel out of vellum, added white splatters to it, and when dry, stuck it to my Layered Shamrocks panel using 1mm foam squares, and then attached my Decorative Shamrock to the vellum panel using 1mm foam squares again.

Next I worked on my greeting and used the Lucky Shadow die set to create the first part of it. I cut the shadow piece out of white cardstock, the word "Lucky" out of white cardstock three times and out of gold glitter cardstock one time. I attached the three white "Lucky" words on top of each other using liquid glue, stuck the gold glitter word on top, attached the whole piece to the white shadow element using liquid glue again, and then stuck the word at the bottom of my card using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "To be your friend" from Lucky To Know You on dark pink cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached that banner below "Lucky" using foam squares.

Next I used Lucky Holder Additions dies to cut the hat pieces out of dark grey cardstock, gold glitter cardstock and pattern paper, the coin and the clovers, and used Valentine Bucket Additions dies to cut an additional heart that I stuck to the largest clover. I assembled the hat, added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to the clovers, white splatters and fossilized amber distress spritz splatters to the coin, and when everything was dry, I attached those elements to the card using foam squares. Finally I picked a white heart from the Valentine Hearts confetti mix that I attached to the small clover.

Sunny Studio - Rainbow Lucky Card

I'm happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this rainbow themed friendship card featuring a mix & match of images from different sets. Since St Patrick's Day is round the corner, I wanted to create a lucky card with rainbow colors, and the Balloon Alphabet was the perfect fit to make the sentiment.

I started off by cutting a large Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock to create a colorful cloudy rainbow sky using a cloud stencil from my stash along with oxide inks: spun sugar + worn lipstick, dried marigold + spiced marmalade, squeezed lemonade + mustard seed, shabby shutters + mowed lawn, and tumbled glass + broken china. I splattered water all over my panel and dried it with a paper towel. Next I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add more splatters to my panel, and then I did the same with black soot oxide ink for contrast and with fossilized amber distress spritz for gold sparkles. Once my panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Polka Dot Parade blue paper using 1mm foam tape, and then to a white card base using liquid glue.

Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Garden Fairy - fairies • Little Birdie - birds, birdhouses, branches • Chubby Bunny + Chickie Baby - flowers • Tulip Path Background - butterflies.

For my greeting, I stamped the word "Lucky" on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using the Balloon Alphabet along with Lawn Fawn premium dye inks, from left to right: peachy keen, carrot, sunflower, cilantro and kiddie pool. For this particular project, I wanted those letters to be real letters and not balloons, so before stamping them, I masked the balloon details with washi tape, and after die cutting the letters, I just trimmed off the excess of paper below each letter with scissors. I love the white highlights on the letters and the rounded shape is super cute! I stuck everything, images and the word "Lucky", on my rainbow panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and stamped "To have you as my friend" from Clucky Chickens right below "Lucky" to complete my greeting.

To finish my card, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the fairies wings to make them super shiny.

Lawn Fawn - Lucky Rainbow Unicorns - Oxide Ink Background

I'm thrilled to be back on Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this super bright rainbow card showcasing multiple items, including My Rainbow that was part of the Spring 2024 Release.

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Jet Black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamps I picked:

• My Rainbow - unicorn, rainbows, clouds • All The Clouds - rainbow, clouds • Unicorn Picnic - unicorn, fairies • A Little Sparkle - unicorn, fairies

Once the coloring was done, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel and created a soft rainbow base using, from the top left hand corner towards the bottom right hand corner: kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron and salvaged patina.

I taped one of the Clover Background stencils (the one with the largest pattern) on top of my panel, and applied picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, mowed lawn and peacock feathers oxide inks for a tone on tone look. Next I taped the second stencil and applied the same inks again. And for a sparkling look, I kept that second stencil in place, and applied Fairy Dust paste all over the panel.

While my panel was drying, I created my sentiment. I started off by cutting the word "Lucky" out of Gold Glitter cardstock and out of White cardstock using Henry's ABCs dies. I attached the gold glitter letters on top of the white ones, but shifted them a tiny bit to get a white border. And then stamped my "To have you as my friend" greeting from Rub A Dub Dub using Clear embossing ink and Gold embossing powder on the largest cloud.

Next I attached my panel on a white card base, stuck all the images and greetings using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and finished my card with white blizzard nuvo drops on the clouds to make them extra shiny.

Pretty Pink Posh - Lucky Set of Cards & Tag

I'm thrilled to share with you this set of St Patrick's Day cards & tag showcasing several items from the Pretty Pink Posh January 2024 Release. I didn't get the chance to play with those products at the time, so I'm really happy to be back with this set I had so much fun to create.

So, let's start with the "You're so lucky" card, shall we? The first thing I did was to stamp all the images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers in a green + yellow + grey color palette to match the St Patrick's Day theme. All the images are from Lucky, except for the hearts that are from Valentine Train.

I cut a 5,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I covered with twisted citron (all over the panel) and mowed lawn (on the edges) oxide inks. And next I created a fun background using the Layered Argyle stencils. With the first stencil I used mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks, and with the second and third stencils I only used rustic wilderness oxide ink. And next I added texture: I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to make splatters all over the panel, and did the same with rustic wilderness oxide ink mixed with water.

I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a shamrock pattern paper from the St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park, stuck it to a white card base, attached my Layered Argyle panel on top using liquid glue, and then all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

For my greeting, I started off by white heat embossing "You're so" from Lucky on green cardstock, and trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die. I also gold heat embossed "Lucky" on a lighter green cardstock, cut it using the matching die, and then attached both pieces on my panel using foam squares. And I finished my card with some morning dew nuvo drops on the hearts to make them shine, and highlights and details on the images using a white gel.

Now to the second card! I started off by cutting a 5,25 x 4 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and just like my first card, I covered it with oxide inks: twisted citron all over the panel, and mowed lawn on the edges. And then I used the Layered Shamrocks stencils along with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks to create a beautiful pattern on my piece of paper. And I added the same texture as the one on the first card.

I cut three Stitched Shamrocks out of different colored cardstock and three matching ones out of gold glitter cardstock. I attached the colored shamrocks on the gold glitter ones using liquid glue, but shifted them a little bit to create a sparkling border.

For my greeting, I started off by hot foiling the Hot Foil Lucky plate on a light green cardstock using speckled aura foil by Spellbinders, and I cut it using the Lucky Shadow Script die. I also white heat embossed "To know you" from Lucky on green cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached both pieces, along with the Stitched Shamrocks on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a stripy pattern paper from the Happy St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park, stuck it to a white card base, attached my panel on it using liquid glue, and finished my card by adding a few Gold Metallic Pearls here and there.

And let's end this blog post with the see-through tag, shall we? I started of by cutting one Shamrock Shaker frame out of a clover pattern paper from the Happy St Patrick's Day 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park, and one plain shamrock out of acetate that I attached at the back of the first one using liquid glue. I also cut a green handle using a die from Build A Stocking, stuck it at the top back of the shamrock frame, and still at the back, I added 3mm foam strips all along the edges of the frame. I poured some St Patrick's Day confetti and some Lucky Day shaker beads inside the window, peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and set the whole piece aside.

Next I cut another Shamrock Shaker frame out of green cardstock, as well as another plain acetate shamrock that I glued on top of the shamrock frame using liquid glue. And I attached this second piece to the first one to totally close my shaker tag.

For my greeting, I used the Lucky Shadow Script dies. I cut "Lucky" out of gold glitter cardstock, and the shadow out of vellum. I attached the first element on top of the second, and then stuck the whole piece to my Shamrock Shaker tag using liquid glue on both ends of the "Lucky". And I finished my tag with gold thread on the handle.
