Lawn Fawn - Reveal Wheel Baby Card

lundi 31 mars 2025

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this lovely Lawn Fawn interactive baby card featuring a mix & match of farm critters all gathered to celebrate the birth of cute chickie babies. I used the Spring Basket as the center element, and created the interactive feature using the Reveal Wheel and Reveal Wheel Spring Basket Drop-Down templates.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  Spring Basket - basket, tulips, eggs, baby chicks  Hay There - horse, cow, chicks, baby chicks, fences  Simply Celebrate More Critters - group of critters  Kanga-rrific Add-On - grass.

For the greeting I used the Scripty Congrats die, and white heat embossed "from the whole herd" from Hay There on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Please watch the video down below for more details about the process.

Sunny Studio - Super Duper Sliding Window Birthday Card

vendredi 28 mars 2025

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back with a new Sliding Window card, another birthday themed one, featuring the cutest super heroes. I really love to create those interactive cards because they're very easy to assemble, and they're great to use your pattern papers, one thing I wish I'd do more often.

So, I started off by stamping my Super Duper images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. I went for a fun green + aqua + blue + yellow color palette that matches the super hero theme quite nicely, and once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

I stamped numbers and letters on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using the Balloon Numbers and the Balloon Alphabet. I first stamped a "1" and a "0" using Lawn Fawn freshly cut grass dye ink, and cut those numbers using the coordinating dies. Next I stamped "HB2U" (happy birthday to you) using Lawn Fawn fish tank, freshly cut grass, sunflower and mermaid dye inks, and I wanted those letters to be real letters and not balloons, so before stamping them, I masked the balloon details with washi tape, and after die cutting the letters, I trimmed off the excess of paper below each letter with scissors. I set everything aside and moved on to the Sliding Window card.

I cut a 5 x 3,75 inches Surprise Party Starry Blue panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle, cut the Sliding Window out of it, as well as the notch at the very top, and also cut a 5 x 3,25 inches Heroic Halftones Yellow panel.

I folded my Sliding Window Starry Blue panel on the score lines, flipped it over, and added double sided tape to the slim bottom tab. I peeled the backing paper off this tab, flipped my Yellow panel over, and attached it at the back of my Sliding Window Starry Blue panel, lining up the bottom edge of the Yellow panel with the edge of the slim tab. And I wanted to frame my sliding starry blue panel nicely, so I cut a 5 x 3,75 inches Heroic Halftones Black panel, cut a Sliding Window out of it, as well as the notch at the top, I trimmed the center of that panel to get a frame, and stuck that frame to my Starry Blue panel using liquid glue.

Next I cut a Heroic Halftones Green panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle, I flipped my Sliding Window panel over, and added foam strips along the bottom edge, on the long edges as well, but not along the top edge. I peeled all the backing papers off, and attached my sliding panel to the Green panel. Next I attached my sliding panel to a 5,25 x 4 inches holographic panel, and finally to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Polka Dot Parade Green panel.

And to complete my interactive panel, I attached the remaining piece of Heroic Halftones Black paper at the top of the Yellow pull tab panel, cut a green eyelet using a Sliding Window die, stuck that eyelet, pierced a hole through it, and added navy blue thread twine with a green bead to be able to pull the interactive panel.

Next I decorated the front of my Sliding Window panel. I cut a 3 x 1/4 inch slim strip out of dark gray cardstock and attached it at the very bottom of the interactive panel using 2mm foam squares. I cut three Cityscape borders out of indigo blue cardstock, stuck each border to some lighter blue cardstock, trimmed that lighter blue cardstock all around the buildings, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, cut the borders to fit on the interactive panel, and attached them using foam squares.

I cut a speech bubble out of black cardstock using a Comic Strip Speech Bubble die, white heat embossed "Have an incredible birthday" from Super Duper on it, and then attached the images and "HB2U" on the front of the card and on the inside as well using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Next I stamped two balloon strings from Balloon Alphabet, cut them and attached each of them to an acetate strip using liquid glue. At the end of each string, I attached the "1" and the "0" using 3mm glue dots, I stuck the strings in the girl's hand using liquid glue again, and this way when the Sliding Window card is open, the balloons stay up in the air.

[IG HOP DAY 1] Pretty Pink Posh - Chickie Easter Mix & Match

lundi 24 mars 2025

Hello there,

Spring is in the air, and Pretty Pink Posh has a new Easter collection. This collection features eggs, bunnies, tulips, butterflies, and more to inspire all your upcoming Easter projects! And I'm thrilled to be back with this super duper adorable Easter card showcasing two cute chicks and some pretty pink daisies. As always I went all mix & match to build my little scene, and I love how sweet and fun it turned out.

Make sure to check my post on Instagram and hop along for inspiration that will inspire your birthday projects all year long!

I started off by working on the card base, and cut a 4,5 x 3,25 inches panel out of kraft cardstock. I added a nice texture to it using the Pierced Leafy Vines Plate, and a daisy pattern using the Springtime Borders stencils along with spun sugar, worn lipstick and fossilized amber oxide inks. This stencil set comes with carrots and tulips patterns too, but I didn't want to add those to my panel, so I just masked those sections off with washi tape in order to create my rows of pink daisies. I mixed some vintage photo distress ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of brown woodgrain cardstock, and added vintage photo and ground espresso distress inks to the edges to darken them a little. I mixed some vintage photo distress ink with water and added splatters to the scalloped edges of my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. Once my panels were dry, I attached the pink daisy panel to the Eyelet Rectangle panel using liquid glue, next to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light beige panel, and then to a white card base.

Next I cut two Grass Borders as well as all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers. I added a bit of matching distress ink to the edges of the cardstock pieces, white splatters to all the elements, and once everything was dry, I assembled all the pieces on my card using foam squares and liquid glue.

As always here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Candy Bucket - bucket  Easter Bucket Additions - daisies, large chick, large bec  Valentine Bucket Additions - large heart cheeks  Big Easter Cupcake - small chick body, small heart cheeks  Bunny Holder - small chick belly  Easter Mug Additions - small bec, eyebrows  Party Hats - comb  Beautiful Bows - bows.

I gave each chick a pair of wiggly eyes, applied glossy accents to their bec, and glued a yellow heart confetti from the Colorful Hearts clay confetti mix in the center of each bow. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Joyful Easter Wishes" from Sentiment Strips: Easter on yellow cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, added a bit of matching distress ink to the edges of the banner, and finally attached it at the bottom of my panel using foam squares.

Sunny Studio - Fairy Tale Themed Card

jeudi 20 mars 2025

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this adorable Snow White inspired card showcasing the Majestic Meadow in the background, and a mix & match of images to create a lovely fairy tale themed scene.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Majestic Meadow - background, birds, clouds • Enchanted - princess, castle • Little Birdie - birdhouse, birds • Garden Critter - grass • Balloon Rides - small trees • Tulip Path Background - butterflies.

Next I cut several panels to build the card base. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Gingham Jewel Tones brown panel, and attached that panel to a card base using liquid glue. I cut a scalloped panel out of white cardstock using the main Frilly Frames Hexagon die, and stuck it to the gingham panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a 4,75 x 3,5 inches panel out of a Summer Splash cloudy paper, mixed some copic opaque white with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to my panel, did the same with salty ocean oxide ink, and once my cloudy panel was dry, I attached it to the scalloped panel using liquid glue.

I added highlights and details to the images with a white gel pen, and then attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Hoping your day is magical" from Garden Fairy on dark brown cardstock and cut it into a fishtail banner that I stuck below the scene using foam squares again. And to totally finish my card, I added white blizzard nuvo to the butterflies wings to bring even more cuteness and magic to the scene. And that's it! I hope that you like this super sweet card, I like to mix new images with older ones, it's always a fun exercise! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Lawn Fawn - Dino-mite Shutter Card

mardi 18 mars 2025

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back on the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel & Blog with this super cute card showcasing a mix & match of items, some from the February 2025 Release, and some from previous releases. And because I wanted to feature a lot of tall trees on my project, I went for a Shutter Card design, which was tall and wide enough to fit all I wanted to put in my little scene.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Jet Black ink. I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used:  It's A Bird - mice, birds, small sentiment  Heart Tree - birds  Rawrsome - dinosaurs, volcano  Kanga-rrific Add-On - grass, dandelions, rocks, trees  All The Speech Bubbles - speech bubble.

I cut my Shutter Card panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and worked on the inside first using stencils and oxide inks. From bottom to top: the Slimline Grassy stencil with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness, a Slimline Hillside stencil with shabby shutters and mowed lawn, and with antique linen and vintage photo, a Slimline Grassy Hillside stencil with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness, and a Slimline Cloudy stencil with salvaged patina and peacock feathers.

I stamped my greeting from Rawrsome at the very top of my Shutter Card panel using black versafine ink, attached the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Next I folded each side of the panel on the score lines, and worked on the outside of my card.

I cut a Small Stitched Circle Stackables out of Strathmore bristol smooth card, and created a similar background as the one on the inside of the card using the same stencils and oxide inks. Cut a Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame out of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock, added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the scalloped edges, I attached my scalloped frame to the circle using liquid glue, and then stuck my remaining images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

I created the sleeve by cutting and assembling two Textured Canvas Aqua pieces using a Shutter Card die, and attached my little circle scene to the sleeve using liquid glue. I used the main Shutter Card die to cut two large Bitsy Blooms panels that I attached to the front of the card. I cut two smallest panels out of another Bitsy Blooms paper using another Shutter Card die, attached those panels using liquid glue, and I finally fed my shutter card through the sleeve to finish my card.

Pretty Pink Posh - Easter 2025 Release - Fringe Egg & Build An Egg

dimanche 16 mars 2025

Hello there,

I'm thrilled to be back with this adorable set of shaker card and tag showcasing several products from the Pretty Pink Posh Easter 2025 Release. What a cute and fun release it is, I really had a blast mixing and matching cardstock and pattern papers to create my projects and I hope that these will inspire you. The brand new collection will be available on March 19th.

I started off with the card and cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light brown woodgrain cardstock. I added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the edges, I mixed that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on the panel, I did the same with copic opaque white ink, and once the panel was dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white leafy panel, and then to a white card base.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces I needed to build my three Easter eggs using Build An Egg dies. Each egg has a kraft base, and for the decorative pieces, I combined colored cardstock and pattern papers. I attached those decorative pieces on each kraft egg using liquid glue, cut four extra eggs out of pattern papers using dies from Easter Bucket Additions and Easter Mug Additions, I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added splatters to each egg, and then set them all aside to dry.

I cut several bows in different sizes out of a floral pink pattern paper and out of pink cardstock. For the large one I used a Present Shaker die, for the medium one I used an Easter Bucket Additions die, and for the smaller ones I used a Beautiful Bows die. I used 1mm foam squares to assemble them, and shifted them a little bit to get a nice pink border behind each floral pink bow. I added white splatters to each bow, and set them aside to dry. To create the daisy, I used another die from Easter Bucket Additions, I cut the petals out of white cardstock and the center piece out of yellow cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, assembled the petals with 1mm foam squares and stuck the center piece with liquid glue.

While all the above was drying, I worked on the shaker bucket, and I built it the same way I always build my shaker tags:

1. Cut a Candy Bucket frame out of brown cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, and let it dry

2. Cut a whole Candy Bucket out of acetate, and attached it at the back of the bucket frame using liquid glue

3. Still at the back of the bucket, added foam strips all around the opening and on the upper part of the bucket as well

4. Poured Sugar Pop shaker beads inside the bucket

5. Cut another Candy Bucket out of yellow cardstock, and stuck it to the foam strips to totally close the shaker bucket

To decorate the top of my bucket, I cut another Candy Bucket out of white cardstock, and used a Doily Border die to cut a pretty decorative piece out of this white bucket. I added matching distress ink on the edges and splatters, let the border dry, and then attached it to the shaker bucket using 1mm foam squares. Next I cut two Grass Borders out of green cardstock, added matching distress ink to the edges and splatters, and attached those borders inside the bucket: the first one close to the top edge of the bucket with liquid glue, and the second one higher than the first one with 1mm foam squares to leave enough space for the eggs between each Grass Border.

I attached the bucket to my Eyelet Rectangle panel using liquid glue, the three Build An Egg eggs using foam squares, and the smaller eggs on each side of the bucket using foam squares as well. I attached each bow and the daisy using foam squares, white heat embossed "Easter Blessings" from Easter Greetings on kraft cardstock, cut it using the matching die, added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink on the edges, and then attached it at the bottom of the bucket using foam squares. Finally I picked two white hearts and a pink one from the Valentine Hearts confetti mix, and stuck a heart in the center of each medium and small bow.

*****

Next I created the Fringe Egg ornament, and started off by stamping a bunny from Bunny Friends, as well as two flowers from Easter Greetings on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut those three images using the matching dies, and colored them using my Graph'it brus markers and Ohuhu markers. I also white heat embossed "Hoppy Easter" from Easter Greetings on yellow cardstock, and added a little bit of fossilized amber distress ink on the edges.

I cut each piece of my Fringe Egg twice in order to create a nice border between each fringe and add more interest to the egg: the fringes on the front out of pattern papers and the fringes in the back out of matching colored cardstock. I stuck each patterned fringe to its matching fringe using liquid glue, shifting them a little bit to create a nice border below the patterned fringes, and then I assembled the four pieces using 1mm foam squares. I cut another egg out of brown cardstock using the larger Fringe Egg die, and a handle out of the same cardstock using a Build A Stocking die. I attached the handle at the top of the brown egg, and then attached that egg at the back of my Fringe Egg using liquid glue.

I cut an Eyelet Oval panel out of vellum, attached the bunny, flowers and greeting to it using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck the vellum panel to the front of my Fringe Egg using 2mm foam squares. To decorate the top of the ornament, I attached a large bow and a daisy, just like the ones I added to the shaker bucket, added twine to the handle, and finally some highlights and details to the bunny and flowers using a white gel.

Pretty Pink Posh - Easter 2025 Release - Bunny Holder & Carrot Shaker

samedi 15 mars 2025

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this new lovely set of card and shaker tag showcasing multiple items from the Pretty Pink Posh Easter 2025 Release. As always, I had lots of fun combining new products with previously released ones, and I absolutely adore this super duper cute bunny! The brand new collection will be available on March 19th.

I started off with the card, cut a Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of kraft cardstock, and added a fun tulip and carrot pattern to it using the Springtime Borders stencils along with oxide inks: spun sugar, worn lipstick and mowed lawn for the tulips, rusty hinge and rustic wilderness for the carrots, and fossilized amber and white pigment ink for the daisies. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over my panel, and set my piece of paper aside to dry.

I cut two other Stitched Torn Rectangle panels out of two different pattern papers, cut a Grass Border out of each panel, and added white splatters to each border.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock and pattern papers, added more depth and splatters to each element using matching distress inks, as well as white splatters, and let everything dry.

Here is a detailed list of the die sets I used:  Bunny Holder - bunny, small carrots  Easter Holder Additions - basket, small carrots, daisies, leaves, bow  Easter Bucket Additions - large carrots  Fall Mug Additions - scarf  Spooky Mug Additions - fences  Snowman Shaker - hat  Big Easter Cupcake - sign, heart cheeks, eyebrows

For my greetings, I first white heat embossed "Some bunny loves you!" from Easter Greetings on yellow cardstock, I cut it using the matching die, and added matching distress ink on the edges. I also white heat embossed "Hoppy Easter" from Easter Signs on the sign.

When everything was dry, I assembled and attached everything on my panel using liquid glue and foam squares. I added twine around the hat and tied a bow, gave the bunny a pair of wiggle eyes, applied glossy accents to his nose, and glued a heart confetti to each bow for a last touch of cuteness. And I finally attached my Stitched Torn Rectangle panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches plaid panel, and then to a card base.

*****

Next I created the Carrot Shaker tag, following those steps:

1. Cut a Carrot Shaker frame out of some orange pattern paper, and a whole Carrot Shaker panel out of acetate
2. Attach the frame to the acetate panel using liquid glue
3. Flip the panel over and add foam strips at the back of the frame all along the curved edges of the carrot
4. Pour Sugar Pop shaker beads inside the frame
5. Cut another Carrot Shaker panel out of yellow cardstock
6. Cut the handle out of green cardstock using a Build A Stocking die and attach it to the yellow panel, right at the top of the carrot
7. Stick the yellow panel to the foam strips to totally close the Carrot Shaker tag

Once the base of the tag was done, I added decorations. I cut the tops of the Carrot Shaker out of two different green pattern papers, attached them to the tag using liquid glue and foam squares, and added twine and tied a bow. I had some extra daisies and leaves from the card, so I attached them to the tag as well. I white heat embossed "Easter Greetings" from Easter Greetings on pink cardstock, added matching distress ink on the edges, and stuck the greeting to the tag using foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Hello" and "Happy Easter" from Upright Greetings: Easter on kraft cardstock, trimmed both greetings using Sentiment Strips dies, added matching distress ink on the edges of each strip, attached them both to the shaker tag handle, and added ribbon and a bow to decorate the top of the tag. And finally I glued a heart confetti in the center of the twine bow.
