Pretty Pink Posh - Welcome Little One

Hello there,

I'm so happy to be back with this lovely baby themed card I've made to celebrate the birth of the sweet Kaia, Paulina's daughter (Paulina, the Pretty Pink Posh owner) The idea here was to create a half paneling wall with a wooden board on top to put baby items and decorations on, and maybe have enough space for a cute stuffed teddy bear to sneak a peek and keep a close eye on Kaia while she sleeps. And I'm usually a fan of bright and bold colors, but here I went for a soft and lovely color palette using papers from the Our Baby Girl 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park.

I started off by cutting the letters to make the word "baby" using the matching dies from the Baby stamp set. I cut those letters three times: out of pattern papers, out of white cardstock and out of dark kraft cardstock. I set the white and dark kraft letters aside, mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters to the pattern paper letters, and then did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. When my four pattern paper letters were dry, I attached the white letters to the kraft letters using liquid glue, shifting them a little bit to get a brown border on the edges of the white letters. Next I attached the pattern paper letters to the white letters using 1mm foam, and again, shifting the letters a bit to get a white border on the edges of the pattern paper letters.

Next I cut the baby decorations and teddy bear pieces using the same paper pack from Echo Park for some items and white cardstock for others. I added white splatters to the bear's head and paws, to the stitched heart, bow and cubes as well, and added liquid stardust splatters to the white squares on the cubes, to the bear's cheeks and to the yellow bow. Here is a short detailed list of the die sets I used: • Bear Holder - bear's head, snout, nose and ears, stitched heart • Easter Mug Additions - bear's paws, cheeks and bow • Baby Mug Additions - small bow, cubes, small heart, star and duck.

I assembled all those pieces to create the cutest teddy bear and baby items, gave the bear a pair of googly eyes, and then moved on to the background. I cut three large Eyelet Rectangle panels: out of light kraft cardstock, out of dark kraft cardstock and out of a stripe pattern paper. I placed the "baby" letters on the stripe panel to see how tall it needed to be and then trimmed that panel. Next I used the second smallest Stitched Strips die to cut a slim strip out of the dark kraft panel. And then I used the Baby Words stencil along with white pigment ink to add more interest to the upper section on the light kraft panel. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water, added white splatters to the panel and then did the same with vintage photo distress ink for a bit of contrast and to match with the brown items on the card.

Next I attached everything, starting with the vertical stripe panel and the slim dark kraft strip above it using liquid glue. On the wooden board I first put the teddy bear, her paws and the cubes using 1mm foam squares and then the stitched heart using 2mm foam squares. I stuck my "baby" letters below the board using 1mm foam squares again, and then worked on my greeting. I white heat embossed "Welcome little one" from the Sentiment Strips: Occasions stamp set on dark brown cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached that banner to my card using foam squares. Finally I attached my Eyelet Rectangle panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel and then to a matching card base, I stuck the small bow to the "Y" for more cuteness, and applied glossy accents to the bear's nose for one more touch of shine.

Pretty Pink Posh - Baby Card Mix & Match

Hello there,

I'm happy to be back with this lovely slimline baby card I created with a whole bunch of dies from various Pretty Pink Posh sets. Mixing and matching items from different years/seasons is definitely what I like the most, and to make the background behind my three shelves I went for a bunny theme and used the Layered Bunny Faces stencils to create a colorful and playful wallpaper.

And speaking of which, I started off by making the background and first cut a slimline panel out of kraft cardstock using the largest Slimline Peekaboo Windows die. When I stencil on kraft cardstock, most of the time I like to create a white base first, so this is what I did using the Layered Bunny Faces stencil #1 along with white pigment ink. I then used that same stencil again but shifted it a little bit to the right, and created colorful bunny faces using oxide inks: rusty hinge, fossilized amber, bundled sage, saltwater taffy and tattered rose. And by shifting the stencil, it created a white border around the bunny faces, and I've always loved this effect. Next I used stencils #2 and #3 along with frayed burlap oxide ink to add eyes, noses and whiskers to the bunny faces. I mixed a bit of copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters all over the panel, and did the same with vintage photo distress spritz.

While my Layered Bunny Faces panel was drying, I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock, woodgrain cardstock and pattern papers. On the colored cardstock and woodgrain cardstock pieces, I added matching distress ink splatters to those elements, as well as ink on the edges, to make them less flat, and then white ink splatters. And on the pattern paper pieces, I only added white ink splatters.

As always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used on this card: • Bunny Holder - bunny • Big Easter Cupcake - bunny paws, heart cheeks, bunny tail • Easter Mug Additions - eyebrows, bow (on the bunny's head) • Valentine Holder Additions - collar, bow (on the collar), heart banners • Baby Mug Additions - cubes, rattle, letters, small circle (on the rattle), tiny ducks, tiny star, tiny bows • Party Balloons - large hearts • Decorative Birdhouses - shelves • Onesie Shaker - large duck.

I assembled the bunny, the rattle, the heart banners and the cubes using foam squares and liquid glue, and then attached everything to my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I purposely left some space above the cubes to add "Welcome". It is from Baby Animals, I white heat embossed it on dark brown cardstock, cut it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached it to my panel using 1mm foam squares.

To finish my card, I gave the bunny a pair of large wiggle eyes to make him/her extra cute, applied glossy accents to the nose, to the "Baby" letters on the cubes and to the star on the rattle. I cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches textured white panel, attached it to a slimline card base using liquid glue, and then my panel on top using 1mm foam tape.

Lawn Fawn - Reveal Wheel Baby Card

Hi there,

I'm super happy to be back with this lovely Lawn Fawn interactive baby card featuring a mix & match of farm critters all gathered to celebrate the birth of cute chickie babies. I used the Spring Basket as the center element, and created the interactive feature using the Reveal Wheel and Reveal Wheel Spring Basket Drop-Down templates.

Pretty Pink Posh - Elephant Baby Card

I'm so happy to be back today with this lovely baby card featuring, as always, a whole bunch of images from different sets. I had so much fun going through my entire Pretty Pink Posh collection to find the stamps that would match my baby theme!

I started off by stamping all my images on 80lb Neenah using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers.

Here is a detailed list of the products I used: • Elephant Friends for the elephants • Holiday Stockings for the teddy bear • Spring Robins for the branches • Dinosaur Friends for the leaves • Jungle Friends for the flowers, leaves and ivy • Baby Basics for the rattle • Easter Signs for the pinwheel • Baby for the onesie, bottle, bib, hearts and safety pins.

I cut a Strathmore bristol smooth slimline panel using the largest Slimline Peekaboo Windows die, and colored it using oxide inks. From top to bottom, I applied tumbled glass, squeezed lemonade and dried marigold. And I made this background more interesting by using the Mini Polka Dots stencil along with, from top to bottom, salty ocean, mustard seed and carved pumpkin oxide inks. Next I added texture to my panel, starting with water droplets that I dried with a paper towel. I mixed some black soot oxide ink with water, used a small brush to add splatters to my piece of paper, and did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Once my panel was dry, I stuck all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, and applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the hearts to make them shine. I white heat embossed my "Congrats on the new baby" greeting from Sentiment Strips: Occasions, cut an 8,5 x 3,5 inches panel out of light brown woodgrain cardstock, attached my panel on top using double sided tape, and finally stuck everything on a kraft card base.

Sunny Studio - Tropical Birds Baby Card

I'm so happy to be back on the Sunny Studio blog with this lovely tropical baby card showcasing Tropical Birds. As you may know, I'm a huge fan of tropical cards, it's always fun to color all the greenery, and I like to play with bright and bold colors to create my backgrounds. In case you missed them, here are a few examples of the tropical cards I've made using: • Big Panda Sliding Window Card • Juicy Watermelon Slimline Card • Tiki Bar Summer Scene • Savanna Safari Birthday Card • Panda Party Slimline Card.

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Lots of green tones for all the leaves, and light orange tones for the birdies. Here is a -short- detailed list of the products I used: • Tropical Birds - cockatoos, leaves, flowers, ivy • Little Birdie - nest • Special Day - hearts • Chubby Bunny - baby bird.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and started off by coloring it using, from top to bottom, carved pumpkin + dried marigold + scattered straw oxide inks. I added a jungle pattern to my background using tropical leaf stencils from my stash along with, from top to bottom, ripe persimmon + carved pumpkin + fossilized amber oxide inks. To bring more interest to my panel, I splattered water all over it and dried it using a paper towel. I mixed some black soot oxide ink with water, and used a small brush to add more splatters to my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Once my panel was dry, I attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and stamped my "Hello baby" greeting from Baby Elephant using black versafine ink. I also added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and finished my card with some white blizzard nuvo drops on the hearts to make them sparkle.

Pretty Pink Posh - Baby Animals Meadow Scalloped Box Card

Hello there,

Most of the time, when I make a card, I like to go through my stash to pick a stamp here and another one there to create a cool mix & match of images. This is what I did for today's card. The focus here is on the cute bunnies from Baby Animals from the Pretty Pink Posh May 2024 Release, and I gathered images from different stamp sets (listed down below) to create a lovely meadow scene.

I started off by stamping the images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and applied white blizzard nuvo drops on the bees wings to make them super shiny.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Baby Animals for the bunnies • Woodland Critters for the deer, hedgehogs and mushrooms • Bee Friends for the bees • Easter Wreath for the flowers • Spring Flowers for the greenery

Next I built my Scalloped Box Card using kraft cardstock for the base, and pattern papers from the Fun On The Farm 6x6 paper pack by Echo Park for the inserts and decorative pieces. I attached the images inside the box card using liquid glue, and the ones on the sides using liquid glue and foam squares.

To make the bees fly, I started off by cutting three long and slim strips of acetate. I stuck a strip on each insert using 3mm glue dots, and attached a bee on the strip using 3mm glue dots again. And I trimmed the excess of acetate above each bee.

For my sentiment, I first white heat embossed "Baby" from Baby Animals on dark brown cardstock, cut it using the matching die and attached it on the front of the card using 1mm foam squares. I also white heat embossed "Welcome little one" from Sentiment Strips: Occasions on yellow cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die that I finally stuck below "Baby" using foam squares again.

Pretty Pink Posh June 2024 Release IG Hop - Onesie Themed Card & Matching See-Through Shaker Tag

For this Instagram Hop, I created a set of cute and bright baby card and matching see-through tag, both featuring several items from the Pretty Pink Posh May 2024 Release, all listed down below as always. These were so much fun to make, I love how adorable and sweet they turned out.

I started off by cutting an Eyelet Rectangle panel out of kraft cardstock and used the Layered Onesies stencils along with oxide inks to create a lovely rainbow background. And to make those rainbow colors pop on my kraft panel, I first created a layer of white onesies using the stencil A and white pigment ink. Next I used the stencil A again, but shifted it slightly to the right, and applied, from the top left corner to the bottom right corner: kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twister citron and salvaged patina oxide inks to get a nice rainbow base.

For the details on the onesies, I used the stencil B and darker shades, from the top left corner to the bottom right corner: picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn and peacock feathers oxide inks. To finish my panel, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to make splatters on my piece of paper.

When my panel was dry, I attached it to a light beige plaid panel, next to a white card base and then I die cut all my bits and pieces out of different colored cardstock, and I assembled everything on my Layered Onesies panel using liquid glue and foam squares, leaving enough space at the bottom for my "Congrats on the new baby" greeting from Sentiment Strips: Occasions that I white heat embossed on orange cardstock, trimmed into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strip die, and attached using 1mm foam squares.

Here is a detailed list of the dies I used: • Baby Mug Additions for most of the dies • Onesie Shaker for the heart • Winter Mug for the mug and the beverage • Valentine Mug Additions for the foam

I glued a white polymer clay heart from the Colorful Hearts clay confetti pack in the center of each bow, applied a little bit of white blizzard nuvo drops on the hearts to make them sparkle, and finally added highlights and details to my die-cut pieces using a white gel pen.

For my Onesie Shaker tag, I went for colors that coordinate with my card.

Here is the process to build it:

1. Cut a whole onesie out of acetate, cut a onesie frame, and stick that frame to the acetate onesie using liquid glue

2. Cut the handle using a Build A Stocking die, and at the back of the acetate onesie, attach that handle (I attached mine on one sleeve)

3. Still at the back of the acetate onesie, add foam strips all along the edges, following the shape

4. Pour some Colorful Hearts clay confetti on the acetate

5. Cut another whole onesie out of acetate, and attach it to the foam strips to close the shaker

6. Cut another onesie frame, and stick it to the acetate onesie (it finishes the back of the tag nicely)

Next I cut the collar and hearts, and attached both pieces using liquid glue. I glued a light pink heart confetti from the Colorful Hearts clay confetti pack in the middle of the heart, added a yellow ribbon below the handle to match the yellow duck on the card, and added twine to hand the tag.

I cut the Baby Script twice: out of gold glitter cardstock and out of white cardstock. I glued the gold glitter one on top of the white one, shifting them a little bit to create a white border. I also white heat embossed my "Welcome little one" greeting from Sentiment Strips: Occasions on pink cardstock, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached both pieces on my Onesie Shaker tag using liquid glue.

For this blog hop, I created two baby cards featuring the cutest baby images, I did some stenciling and paper piecing, and made two see-through shaker rattles. So fun!

I cut two 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panels that I colored using the Baby Words stencil along with oxide inks. On the first panel, I applied salvaged patina on one half and shabby shutters on the other half, and then with the stencil I applied peacock feathers and mowed lawn for a tone on tone look. On the second panel, I applied spun sugar on one half and cracked pistachio on the other half, and then with the stencil I applied worn lipstick and lucky clover for a tone on tone look as well.

I splattered water on both panels and dried them using a paper towel. I mixed the same oxide inks with water and used a small brush to make more splatters, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I stamped all my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. For the first card, I went for a green, aqua, yellow and teal color palette, and for the second one, I went for a dark pink, light pink, aqua and teal color palette.

For the elephants, I first stamped them on the same white cardstock using the same black ink. Next I stamped them on pattern papers, fussy cut them, and then attached them on the blank elephants. And I used light gray markers to add shadows to both elephants.

I attached my images on both panels using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, leaving enough space for my "Welcome little one" greetings from Baby Basics that I white heat embossed on dark gray cardstock, trimmed into slim banners using a Sentiment Strips die, and attached below the "Baby" cubes using 1mm foam squares again. I applied a little bit of white blizzard nuvo drops on the hearts to make them shine, added some white hearts from the Colorful Hearts Clay Confetti pack here and there, and finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

The see-through Baby Rattle Shakers were made following the same steps. The only difference is that I put Spring Breeze shaker beads inside the first one, and Sweet Dreams shaker beads inside the second one.

Here is the process for one shaker rattle:

1. Cut two handles and glue them together to make one sturdy handle

2. Cut a whole circle out of acetate, cut a circle frame, and glue that frame on the acetate circle

3. At the back of that acetate circle, add foam strips all around the circle

4. Pour shaker material on the acetate circle

5. Cut another whole circle out of acetate, and stick it to the foam strips to close the shaker

6. Cut another circle frame, and stick it to that acetate circle (to finish the back of the shaker nicely)

7. Trim the handle (or not, it depends on how long you want the rattle to be)
