Valentine Card Series 2017 - Me + You = Love

Hey there!

For this new card, I wanted it to be quite simple but with a main piece that would stand beautifully in the middle of a big heart shaped splatter!

So I first started by roughly drawing around a heart die on watercolor paper using a pencil, and then I painted inside of this heart shape using three different distress inks, making sure to erase my pencil lines once everything was dry. I also splattered some gold shimmering ink here and there.

To add a little extra something to my panel, I used a die from My Favorite Things to create lines on each side of the card. I cut three hearts using a gorgeous heart die from SSS, and glue them together to get some nice dimension.

Then I created my sentiment. For that I combined three stamps: two from Lawn Fawn and one from Altenew, and to make sure they would be perfectly aligned I used my Misti tool. I used black ink for the words, and gold embossing powder for the heart to make it pop.

I didn't want to glue my heart entirely so I decided to attach it using gold thread. I attached my panel to some dark pink watercolor paper I had in my stash using my favorite double sided tape, and added some clear glitter on the heart to finish the card.

Avery Elle - Birthday Parade

Hey there!

Here is a birthday card I really enjoyed making! This stamp set is absolutely beautiful, I had a lot of fun coloring the images and creating the brick wall.

I first started by stamping all the images (I used the turtle die to make sure the flag would be perfectly aligned) on watercolor paper using my Misti tool so I can stamp everything multiple times to get crisp lines. While I was at it, I gold heat embossed my sentiment using my new favorite embossing powder.

I colored the image using watercolor pens, and cut them using the coordinating dies.

In order to create the pavement on my card, I masked a part of my watercolor paper and applied grey distress ink. Then I masked that part, and applied white embossing paste using a stencil to create my wall. Once everything dry, I applied dark red distress ink on it to make it look more realistic.

I attached my images on the panel using foam squares, applied clear glitter and glossy accents here and there, and added some clear sequins to finish the card.

Valentine Card Series 2017 - Circles of Love

Hello there!

Here is the second card of my Valentine Series. I used a stamp from Simon Says Stamp that I love so much, it's so beautiful, and I can't wait to use it for other occasions!

I first started by stamping the image on watercolor paper using versamark ink and gold embossing powder. I really love the result, the design of this stamp is perfect!

I think that gold goes beautifully with red so I painted all the circled using that color. And to give more details to my panel I cut it using a stitched rectangle die.

I made my sentiment using three die cuts glued together, and as I wanted something to anchor, I die cut a banner from gold glitter paper. I attached these elements to my panel using liquid glue and double sided tape.

Finally I glued some golden hearts here and there, attached my panel to a piece of black cardstock and attached everything on a white card base.

Penny Black - Birthday Cupcake

Hello there!

Here is a birthday card I made using for the first time a stamp set from Penny Black. I think this set is very cute and perfect for many occasions.

As I wanted to color my image using my new favorite watercolor pens, I first started by stamping it on watercolor paper using black waterproof ink, then I fussy cut the image. The watercolor pens I used are very easy to blend.

I cut two pieces of paper: one piece of pattern paper, and another piece of watercolor cardstock using a rectangle die. I applied two shades of pink distress inks all around that rectangle piece.

I stamped my sentiment in two colors (black and gold embossing powder) using my Misti tool in order to make sure that everything was perfectly aligned. I attached my rectangle to the pattern using double sided tape, and my image using foam square. Attached the whole panel to a top folded white card base.

To finish the card, I added glitter on the cupcake, two dots of black enamel accents on the eyes and some gold stars here and there.

Valentine Card Series 2017 - Furry Love

Hello there!

Here is the first card of my Valentine Card Series 2017 using the cutest cat stamp ever!

I first started by stamping my image on watercolor paper. I used my Misti tool so I could stamp it twice to get a perfect result. I also stamped my sentiment using versamark ink and my new favorite gold embossing powder.

I wanted to use distress inks to create my background so I covered my two little cats with masking paper. It was my first time using this technique and I absolutely love the result! I applied two colors on the background: pale pink from the bottom to the sentiment, and a little red ink from the top. Then I used a stencil in order to paint hearts on the whole panel, using the same distress inks.

Removing the masking paper was my favorite thing! I colored my cats using watercolor pens, and stamped a big red heart just above their heads. I applied glossy accents on it to make it pop. And I finally attached my panel on some heavy white cardstock using my favorite double sided tape.
