Hello Bluebird - Tree Neighbors Preview

Hello there,

Hello Bluebird new release is getting closer, all the new products will be available on Sept 8th at 7pm Mountain Time, so today I'm back with some inspiration for you, showcasing a bunch of new super cute critters as well as a very tall tree, all from the amazing Tree Neighbors stamp set. And to give my scene some autumn vibes, I also picked a few more images Flying  high and Frosty Mornings.

I stamped all the images using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, cut them all using the coordinating dies and then colored everything using as always my alcohol markers.

Once everything was colored, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" bristol panel and created my background using squeezed lemonade, dried marigold, kitsch flamingo and picked raspberry oxide inks. Next I assembled everything on the panel using liquid glue and foam squares.

Finally I attached my panel on a card base, and added white highlights on the images.

World Leukemia Day Hop - Hopeful and rainbow shaker card

 Hey there,

I'm very happy to be back with a very special card. Today is World Leukemia day, and my friend Claudia, whose daughter Gaia is fighting Leukemia, has organized an Instagram hop featuring many talented designers, and this hop has lots of sponsors as well. World Leukemia Day on Sept 4th is a global campaign led collaboratively by patient groups around the world. It's the day of the year when people around the world can come together to help raise awareness about leukemia. By increasing leukemia awareness and educating the world about the signs and symptoms of this condition, we can work together to help patients with this disease receive early diagnoses, help more people, improve their quality of life after diagnosis, and give them hope! But can we really do anything? Yes, we can. By donating blood, donating bone marrow, helping research with contributions.

On this special day, cardmakers from all over the world have joined us and created a card inspired by Hope. Holiday Card Series w/ Anjas Basteltraum - Christmas in the forest

 Hello there, I'm back to share with you the second card I made for Anja's Basteltraum as a guest designer to celebrate their winter release. Today I'm showcasing the new Waldweihnaght stamp set, which means Christmas in the forest, and it features a super cute pinecone house and some lovely critters.

I started by stamping the images using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, I cut them all using my Scan 'n Cut machine and then colored everything using my alcohol markers.

Next I cut a 7,5 x 4,25" panel out of a snowy pattern paper from Lawn Fawn. I also cut a hill border out of white cardstock, and to tone down the background I used vellum. I created some sort of a sleeve with flaps that I stuck at the back of the snowy panel.

Next I attached the hill border using double sides tape, and added snow to the vellum. I mixed a bit of white acrylic paint with water and create a bunch of splatters on the vellum using a small brush.

I attached the images using foam squares and glue dots, stamped my sentiment using stazon ink, and as a last final touch of shine, I added a few clear droplets here and there.

Spooky Card Series w/ Sunny Studio - Magic Picture Changer Bewitching Card

 Hi there,

I'm back with a super fun and spooky cute interactive card that features the brand new Bewitching mini stamp set designed by Sunny Studio. The story behind this card is that during Halloween night three little mice are gathered in the woods to experience new magic tricks and unfortunately one of those mice is accidentally turned into a cat because the spell was wrong.

I started with the background and cut a 5,5 x 4,25" panel, and I picked four oxide inks to create my night sky: peacock feathers, lucky clover, chipped sapphire and black soot. Once I was happy with the result, I added lots of texture to make that sky more interesting and less flat: water droplets, liquid stardust mixed with water, black soot oxide ink mixed with water, and white acrylic paint mixed with water again.

Next I cut two pieces of strathmore bristol cardstock: a long one for the pocket die and a small one for the moving piece die. I placed the dies on the papers and traced the windows using a pencil. On the long panel I stamped the mouse wearing a witch hat, and on the small the panel I stamped the cat with a witch hat. I used the coordinating dies to cut masks that I stuck on the images.

I used peacock feathers and lucky clover oxide inks again to color those two panels, I created the same textures and then once the papers were dry I used my twizzlers to remove the masks. But because of the masks some spots were not connected so I just used my memento black pen to quickly fix those spots, and then I colored the images using my alcohol markers.

When the coloring was done, I created and assembled the whole interactive pocket. And next I colored a whole bunch of additional images that will help me create a super cute scene. I assembled and attached everything on my interactive panel using a combination of glue dots and liquid glue.

And finally I added highlights on the images using a white gel pen, I attached a handle at the end of the pull tab, and attached my sentiment that reads 'You're bewitching'.

Holiday Card Series w/ Anjas Basteltraum - Mirror stamping winter scene

Hello there,

Today I'm very happy to be a guest designer for the sweet and lovely brand Anja's Basteltraum. Their new winter release is now available, and to help them celebrate I did some mirror stamping using the cute mouse couple from Holiday on mice.

I started by stamping the skating pond image on white cardstock, and next I did the whole mirror stamping process. I invite you to watch the video below to see how it was done. It's always easier to understand with images ^^

I stamped the cute mouse couple using extreme black ink by My Favorite Things, cut the image using my Scan 'n Cut machine and colored it using my alcohol markers.

Once the coloring was done, I cut the skating pond panel to get a 5,5 x 4,25" panel. And cut a vellum panel measuring the same. I mixed some white acrylic paint with water and splattered droplets on both panels to create falling snow.

I cut a frame out of white cardstock, stuck it on top of the vellum panel. And next I attached this vellum frame directly onto the skating pond background. I stuck the mouse couple using foam squares, and then I stamped my sentiment "Winter Wishes" using black stazon ink which is an ink that doesn't smear on vellum. And finally I glued a few clear droplets here and there as a final touch of shine.
